Chapter 2: - Trip to the City
[System]
New Objective for New Name
Go to the city.
Rewards: 110 Experience
"Seriously? Another task?" Frizz remarked, that he just finished tidying up the convenience store. He was about to head home after saying goodbye to Mr. Sim, the owner of the convenience store instead the system gave him a new objective.
However, Frizz got over it and instead smiled at the surprise. (Finally, something interesting.) He took out his phone and texted his brother. "be home late, start eatingg withotu me," He then pockets the phone. Frizz lifted the front part of his electric-bike and faced the road on the right, heading to the city, and pedaled like never before.
"Glad to be the only one to level up!" Frizz roared as he erratically swerved left and right.
Eighteen Minutes Later...

New Name is now level 3.
Select a perk: [Quick Feet] [Reckless Approach] [Animal Whisperer] [Backshots]
Frizz finally arrived at the city, he dismounted from his electric-bike and stood on the sidewalk. (Hmmmmmm... The perks are different now.) Frizz tapped his fingers repeatedly on the handlebars, deep in thought.
(If I pick one, what happens to the others? Are they destroyed or rolled away temporarily? I hope it is the latter, not the former. This system is too cryptic.)
Frizz eyed the fourth choice. (Back-shots? Like backstabs or hits from behind?)
(The third one sounds nice, but I should pick something that can make me stronger.)
Frizz rubbed the back of his head. (Quick feet and reckless approach; the second one sounds better, but... Quick feet sounds useful.)
(A coin toss will decide this. The head is quick feet and the tail is reckless approach.)
*Flip* "Tails..."
Frizz took out his phone and pretended to be on a call. "System, give me reckless approach."
[System]
New Name received [Reckless Approach]
Description: For the first 30 seconds of a hostile encounter, all physical aspects are significantly enhanced. Afterward, they are significantly weakened for the next 30 seconds.
(I keep seeing 'physical aspects,' but what exactly does that mean? No way my system is handing out this kind of vague information.) Frizz's brows furrowed as he scrutinized the perk's description.
(If I had to guess, 'physical aspects' must be a combination—probably an amalgamation of strength, power, endurance, agility, speed, health, regeneration, pain tolerance, and the like.)
"System! Give me my status!"

Class: None
Perks: [In Good Faith], [Daily Life], [Enraged], [Reckless Approach]
Talents: None
(Looking good, looking good.) Frizz smiled as his list of perks grew.
(The modifiers are gone because daily life is inactive. I wonder if it will change if I travel to another country that is currently daytime.)
Frizz clicked his tongue. (The system told me to come to the city, and now that I am here, what do I do?) Frizz looked around, and nothing really stood out; some people were walking or waiting for their commute. The street vendors are still selling their wares and products, and the roads are filled with vehicles.
A realization dawned on Frizz. (No wait, no. Don't tell me a gate is going to open. A dungeon? Some calamity? Or was I brought here to participate in some arena where people like me have to kill each other for power?)
Frizz's anxiety slowly crept up to him. (If I have a system, what's stopping others from having the same?) Frizz shook his head and headed straight into a restaurant a few steps away.
"Welcome sir, here, take a flyer! We have discounts today. It's the restaurant's anniversary." A beautiful tall waiter greeted Frizz as she handed out a flyer.
"Ah, thank you." Frizz awkwardly took the flyer. "You can park your scooter-bicycle over there," the beautiful waiter pointed.
"Thank you." Frizz parked his electric-bike near the restaurant's entrance and entered. A young waiter offered to lead Frizz to an open seat and he followed, the young waiter then gave him a menu and excused himself.
Frizz scanned his surroundings, looking for a potential threat or enemy. The thought that there are people like him and they might be hostile or powerful sent a shiver down his spine.
(I have to be careful, but there is no use being hungry and stressed.) Frizz scanned the menu; most of it was meat and soup, and their original prices were dashed. A 25% discount is applied. He scanned the menu, taking mental notes of what he wanted.
"Waiter!" Frizz signaled for the young waiter, ready to order. He ordered two slices of pork chops, a broth, four kebabs, and cold water. The young waiter jolted down his order and left.

New Objective for New Name
Finish what you ordered: 0/1
Rewards: [Gluttonous Initiative]
"Oh?" (A perk as a reward? I didn't expect that, but I will take it. I have to--NO. I need to be strong.)
Frizz rubbed his chin as he scrutinized the perk. (Gluttonous Initiative, I'm sure that it's a perk related to what I eat. It'll most likely give me a buff that will help me survive.)
(However, gluttony is not exactly a positive word. It'll most likely have a drawback like my reckless approach perk. I hope it won't make me consume a lot of food as a side effect.)
Frizz thought about the perks that he had. (These perks are always active, but I think I can turn off that reckless approach perk.)
"Here you go, faster than expected, our chef cooked the wrong meal for a customer, and by chance, it aligned with your order." The young waiter smiled as he placed down what Frizz ordered, one by one. The young waiter thanked Frizz and excused himself.
(Time to eat and get that perk.)
Fifteen minutes later...
*Burp* "That was a good meal." Frizz tidied up the table and tossed a one-thousand peso bill as payment. 'Keep the change' was written on a small note.
