The Three Day Survival Game

Chapter 20: A Mysterious visitor

The night was silent, save for the gentle rustle of leaves and the distant murmur of waves crashing against the shore. As I lay in bed, drifting into the realm of dreams, my mind was consumed by thoughts of the enigmatic man who had haunted my subconscious.

In my dream, I found myself standing alone in a vast, desolate landscape, surrounded by darkness. Suddenly, he appeared before me, his figure illuminated by a faint glow. There was a sense of urgency in his demeanor, as though he carried a heavy burden upon his shoulders.

Without a word, he reached out to me, his eyes pleading for solace. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do, but then I stepped forward and embraced him. His touch was warm against my skin, but beneath the surface, I sensed a profound sadness.

As I held him close, I felt a surge of emotions wash over me—a mixture of compassion, longing, and despair. It was as though his pain had become my own, binding us together in an unspoken bond.

Suddenly, the tranquility of the moment was shattered by the sound of gunfire. I looked up to see a shadowy figure lurking in the distance, a gun aimed in our direction. Before I could react, a searing pain tore through my chest, and I collapsed to the ground.

Through a haze of agony, I saw him standing over me, his expression filled with anguish. He reached out to me, his hands trembling as he tried to stem the flow of blood. But it was too late—the darkness was closing in, and I knew that my time was running out.

With my last ounce of strength, I whispered his name, my voice barely a whisper on the wind. And then, everything faded to black.

I woke with a start, my heart racing in my chest. The dream had felt so real, so vivid, that it took me a moment to remember where I was. But as the memory of the dream flooded back, so did the overwhelming sense of loss and longing.

Without a second thought, I leaped out of bed and ran to the sea, the cool night air whipping against my skin. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I raced toward the water, my mind consumed by thoughts of him.

As I reached the edge of the shore, I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me, pulling me back from the edge. It was Karun, my brother, his face filled with concern.

"Kathy, what are you doing? " he exclaimed, his voice tinged with worry.

But I couldn't find the words to explain. All I could think about was the man from my dreams—the man who had captured my heart and left me yearning for more.

With a heavy heart, I allowed Karun to lead me away from the water, back to the safety of our home. But even as I retreated from the sea, I knew that I would never forget the mysterious visitor who had touched my soul in ways I could never explain.
