Chapter 46: Vol. 2: Chp. 46 The Return of Yuso
A FOREST MILES AWAY FROM BURAUN
There is a forest with the name Motsureta. A vast terrain of grass and trees; habiting copious amounts of animals and wildlife.
What's important about this forest is what resides beneath its grassy ground; An underground base that consists entirely of stone materials. Cracks due to old age are visible on nearly every part of the floors and walls.
The underground base is apparent to have a dearth of light, making it nearly impossible to see the interior clearly. The hallways were long and narrow. Throughout the hallways, unopened doors were occasionally seen.
At the end of one of the hallways resides a slightly open door, the light from inside faintly illuminating the exposed parts of the hallway floor and walls outside the door.
Entering the room, thick stone slabs harboring blanketed figures could be immediately noticed. With the room having additional mobile curtains, the room gave the same look like a medical room.
Rattling and clunking could then be heard. A figure was shifting in the shadows of the dimly lit room, standing all alone in the room.
Moving towards the figure, it could be seen that they were wearing a thin white kimono. Getting a closer look, it could also be seen that the figure was a male; a male that attained wrinkly skin on all parts of his skin that were exposed.
On the man's hand, four rings occupied four of his frail fingers. Each of the rings varied in color. He had a red-colored ring on his index finger, a blue-colored ring on his middle, a yellow-colored ring on his 'ring' finger, and a purple-colored ring on his thumb. His pinky was the only finger exempt from a ring.
This man who is inquired to be of an older age had pure black eyes. Staring into his eyes would make one feel as if they were looking into a void. He also obtained short hair that matched the color of dust. His graying hair possibly signifying his age.
As this man was shuffling items on another one of the identical-looking stone slabs, red light illuminated behind him; lighting up other areas of the room as well.
The red illumination dimmed down, the form of a pentagram being apparent. The man in the white kimono turned around slowly, an expectant look on his wrinkly features.
One foot was extended out of the pentagram, followed by the body it belonged to. A considerably younger man stepped out from the pentagram. The newcomer had crimson red hair that resided just above his ears in length, he also garbed a nearly identical kimono to the old man-- but being of the color black.
The crimson-haired man had small pentagrams that were seemingly a part of the skin in his palms. But, above all of those features; one stood out the most.
His eyes; his iris's being an ocean of pitch-black, and his both of his pupils being bloody-red pentagrams that match the ones on his hands.
The elder man adorned a mirthful smirk of content, gazing at the unannounced guest.
"Yuso," The elder spoke first. "I've been waiting for you to return. How did your peregrinations go?" He questioned, folding his arms and hiding his hands inside the sleeves of his kimono.
The crimson-haired male's face couldn't be described as anything but a look of emptiness. The lack of emotions that make up the usual expression of a person had no place in his features.
"Sorry to keep you waiting for me, Master. I intended to be out on my quest longer, but I was unfortunately set back for the time being." The crimson-haired male that goes by the name of 'Yuso' informed monotonously.
The elder man's right brow rose in an inquiring fashion. "So does that mean that you'll be continuing your 'mission' to purge all that is holy in the world again soon?" He questioned, a small trace of mockery lacing his tone as he spoke.
The pentagram that Yuso stepped out of previously suddenly disappeared. The pentagrams on Yuso's hands glowing slightly during the occurrence.
"As the successor of Lucifer, it is my responsibility to pursue and accomplish his ambitions. Sorry if it is an inconvenience for you, Master.
The older man sighed in acknowledgment, closing his eyes slowly and nodding his head to show his understanding. The elder then looked back up at Yuso, meeting his demonic-looking eyes. "I understand, Yuso. But, moving on from your goal; I wish to show you 'my' next mission for you to accomplish for me."
Hearing the elder's stern and hoarse voice, the crimson-haired male nodded his head in assent.
The elder slid his feet to turn his body left, proceeding to slowly walk onwards towards the new direction; Yuso matching his pace and following his trail.

Yuso and the elder could be seen standing in a different area of the underground base. The room they were currently standing in contained a table with a huge map laid and flattened out on top. Tiny stones were placed on the corners of the map, preventing the map from folding.
"This is a map covering the majority of Adonai; Our nation." The elder spoke up, acquainting Yuso of what he was looking at.
The elder took Yuso's silence as a sign to continue. "What I want you to focus on are these marks." The elder notified, pointing to various designated spots on the map. Each spot he pointed to had a red dot, marking different locations in the nation.
"What are they for, Master?" Yuso asked, turning his head towards the grey-haired elder. The blank look remains.
The elder took his eyes off of the huge map and met Yuso's naturally intense gaze. "These red markings represent where different villages are located. I'm not sure if you've heard about it recently; but, villages all over Adonai have been destroyed. With that information, we need to hurry with our plans."
"Understood. But what I don't understand is why you marked different villages?" Yuso questioned once more, tilting his head ever so slightly. Attempting to get a read on his supposed 'Master'.
'He's becoming more and more interrogative towards me. I might have to fix that.' The elder mentally noted vexatiously, sighing afterward. "I marked them because they may or may not be harboring an important 'piece' of our future. We need to find that 'piece' and take it." The elder explained, emphasizing his words, looking back at the map and tracing his finger all over the map.
Yuso's eyes suddenly narrowed, looking at the map, following the elder's finger as it traced the map.
"You do remember what 'piece' I'm speaking of, right, Yuso?" The elder looked at Yuso once again, but inquisitively.
Yuso didn't immediately respond, slightly annoying the elder. But Yuso's eye contact remained on the map. 'This could also be the next step in my own plans.'
"Yuso." The elder called out, raising his right eyebrow in confusion.
Yuso then broke himself out of his thoughts, turning to meet the older man's gaze. "Yes, I know what you're speaking of."
The elder smiled contently, fixing his posture and standing tall. "Good. With that in mind. I expect you to head out to these villages I marked." The elder declared. The elder lost his smile momentarily, a stern look replacing his content one.
"Do not fail me, Yuso."
