The Villain: The Heroine Saw My Video Edits, and Her Impression of Me Shattered

Chapter 10:

Chapter 10:

Bai Xin shouted with full energy, attracting the attention of nearby students who stopped to watch.

A love story between a handsome guy and a beautiful girl always drew interest!

As for Lin Liang, who was held by Bai Xin…

He was completely dumbfounded.

Having read the original plot, he knew Bai Xin was easy to fool…

But this wasn’t just about being easy to fool.

Why was she offering herself so willingly?

And on top of that, she was targeting the wrong person!

‘Go for the protagonist, not me!’

‘I’m just the villain who’s off-duty…’

‘You’re supposed to be the second female lead!’

In the early chapters, Young Master Lin has entanglements with a few heroines, but Bai Xin wasn’t one of them!

Lin Liang had no desire to give himself extra scenes.

He immediately put on a stern face.

“Please, Senior Bai Xin, have some respect! My heart belongs to Li Ruo!”

He pulled his hand free from hers and quickly walked away.

The surrounding onlookers, hearing Lin Liang’s declaration, began to buzz with excitement.

“Oh my gosh, it’s Young Master Lin!”

“He’s so devoted to Li Ruo…”

“Isn’t that Bai Xin, the martial arts club president?”

“Wow, a love triangle!”

Seeing the crowd buy into his words, Lin Liang felt satisfied.

For the first time, he was actually grateful for his role as Li Ruo’s love-struck follower!

This persona was perfect for avoiding too much interaction with the other female leads.

That’s right, all he needed to do was show up daily and shower Li Ruo with admiration!

The other heroines? Whatever happens, happens!

Feigning irritation to deter Bai Xin from following, he quickly left.

Whether she believed his excuse or not…

Lin Liang figured she’d definitely buy it.

After all, her character was straightforward, lively, and cheerful.

In this brainless world, a blunt personality could almost be considered naivety!

If the crowd believed him, Bai Xin surely would too…

What Lin Liang didn’t know, however, was that Bai Xin, left standing there, watched him leave with her lips pursed.

“What a liar…”

While Bai Xin wasn’t particularly cunning, she had a good memory.

She remembered what she saw in the video last night…

Lin Liang had looked down on Li Ruo with utter disdain in that video.

The confession and using Li Ruo as an excuse now? All part of his act.

So, of course, Bai Xin didn’t believe Lin Liang’s seemingly reasonable excuse.

She realized, however, that…

“He really doesn’t want to join the martial arts club…”

“It seems I won’t be able to convince him just yet.”

Lin Liang’s reluctance to join the club and his clear desire to avoid her…

He must have a reason for acting this way!

She couldn’t think of what it might be, though.

But Bai Xin quickly let it go.

“As long as he keeps posting videos, I’ll figure it out.”

Confident in her deduction, she turned and left.

However, Bai Xin didn’t notice that as she walked away, several onlookers snapped photos.

Soon, Jiang City University’s forum was buzzing with excitement.

“The martial arts club president and third-year Philosophy Department beauty Bai Xin confessed to Lin Liang and got rejected!”

“Devoted Young Master Lin declared that Li Ruo is the only one in his heart!”

“Wow, a love triangle!”

“Didn’t Li Ruo reject Lin Liang too?”

“Rejection? From what I saw at the library today, it looked more like she was playing hard to get!”

“But I heard another guy beat up Lin Liang…”

“So it’s a love square?”

“No, it seems Li Ruo isn’t interested in the other guy either.”

The students of Jiang City University eagerly followed the latest gossip, and the topic quickly became the hottest thread on the forum.

In his dorm room, Long Haotian saw the post too.

After reading it several times, he noticed one thing.

Clearly, the hero of the library scene was him—why wasn’t anyone discussing that?

And that Bai Xin, the martial arts club president…

She seemed quite beautiful too!

How could she fall for someone as frail as Lin Liang?

After a bit of thinking, his simple mind came to a conclusion.

“I get it! This is just Lin Liang manipulating public opinion with his money!”

Long Haotian smirked, then posted a comment from his anonymous account.

“Hmph, Lin Liang is nothing but a clown. Only I, Long Haotian, am worthy of having beauties like Bai Xin and Li Ruo!”

But after posting, no one responded.

Except for one reply: “Get over yourself.”

It even came with a downvote.

Annoyed, Long Haotian realized he couldn’t reach across the internet to hit the person, and he had no idea who they were.

So he decided to let it slide, feeling he was the bigger person.

Meanwhile, in the study room, Li Ruo, who had just finished muttering curses at Long Haotian, felt unexpectedly relieved.

“As expected, he’s just a brainless brute.”

She closed the forum but felt a surge of irritation when she remembered the post.

What was Lin Liang doing getting mixed up with Bai Xin?

Then again, he hadn’t done it in front of her… no need to keep pretending to like her, right?

So maybe his feelings weren’t just an act?

Lost in thought, Li Ruo found herself unable to concentrate on her studies.

“Let’s see how he explains it in his next video.”

Unaware that his videos were so eagerly awaited, Lin Liang finished his classes for the day.

After learning some finance, he felt both mentally and emotionally fulfilled.

Of course, most of his relief came from spending a day away from the “brainless” protagonists and just hanging out with normal people.

Thank goodness the finance department didn’t have any major female characters!

Driving his Black Knight, Lin Liang returned home.

After confirming that there were no plot developments scheduled for the evening…

He decided to start editing his next video!
