The Villainous Family Loves Me Too Much!

Chapter 39

Looking at the cows wheezing in pain, I felt like I was going to collapse as well.

“Uncle, don’t say such terrifying things! Please.”

At that moment, Jonathan playfully opened the door to the pen and entered, followed by his mentor, Gebino, and my grandmother.

“Don’t worry too much, kid. The cows in pen 2 have all recovered.”

“What? That can’t be true, ma’am. I checked earlier…”

Seeing Jonathan smile so needlessly, it seemed like something was up.

“What’s going on, Jonathan? Why are you smiling like that?”

“‘I healed all the poor ones at the house over there for my sister!”

Could it be? Did he learn healing powers so quickly?

“Poor ones?”

“It’s a nickname I gave them. We can’t just let such cute and kind creatures die.”

Jonathan looked proud as he told me that he had healed all the cows.

“Well, I think my older sister needs it too.”

“This little kid!”

Unable to control my excitement, I grabbed Jonathan and started headbanging.

“Ahh! Stop it, sister! Stop!”

After being harassed by me for a while, Jonathan healed all of the thousands of cows.

What was even more astonishing was that even after healing such a large number of cows, Jonathan didn’t seem tired at all.

‘Is this the power of this kid?’

At that moment, Jonathan suddenly sneezed loudly.

“Ah-choo!”

It seemed like the side effect of using his power was just a small sneeze like that. At that moment, I asked an important question to Gebino, who was by my side.

“By any chance, can Jonathan now… heal humans as well?”

For Liam, every single day had become hell at some point.

‘This wasn’t what I wanted…’

He was simply envious and jealous of his older brother, the Crown Prince.

But how did he end up in this situation?

Of all people, the woman he gave his heart to was his brother’s woman, and the woman he toyed with was his sister’s friend.

He never imagined those two would turn out to be such terrifying beings.

Of course, he didn’t consider himself a good person either for conspiring to get rid of his brother.

Beatrice and Colin, those two women turned him into a horrific humanoid monster.

Every day they brought one human as sacrifice and fed it to him. Liam, who had been starving on human food daily, survived by transforming into a beast and devouring humans.

Every moment he awoke as a human, he felt sick to his stomach.

A noblewoman from Felosite named Priscilla provided information about Karena in exchange for not being eaten by him, and also acted as bait to lure humans.

‘Even I think those women are horrific.’

Then one day, he secretly overheard a conversation between Beatrice and Colin.

“Why hasn’t His Majesty the Emperor appointed Prince Liam as the Crown Prince? With Karena out of the way, there’s no other alternative, is there Bea?”

“At first, I thought so too.”

Deep in thought, Beatrice spoke again.

“But it seems we should have dealt with Karena more decisively.”

“So she’s not out of the picture yet?”

Beatrice glanced around before lowering her voice to a whisper.

“They’re about to start relations with Felosite. That means once official relations begin, Karena can enter this imperial palace anytime.”

Not seeming to understand, Colin furrowed her brow.

“But wasn’t she banned from entry for 5 years?”

“How naive.”

Curling her lips into a cunning smile, Beatrice replied.

“Specifically, she was banned as an imperial princess. Not as the Archduchess of Felosite. The Emperor is not as careless as you might think.”

“How can you be so sure?”

Beatrice looked at Colin with a look of disbelief at her question.

“You fool, it’s a story I created myself, so I know.”

“Then why did you make Karena out to be so clever?”

“I absolutely didn’t set her up that way. She was just a simple sub-character. I really don’t know why she turned out like that either.”

The two continued with discussions Liam couldn’t comprehend. Then…

“Why don’t we just make Karena the Crown Princess and use her?”

“Then what about Prince Liam? We’ve already turned him into a beast.”

“Well, what can we do?”

A brief silence fell between them.

“He can just keep on living as a beast like now.”

The two women snickered, casually prepared to end Liam’s life.

‘By any means necessary, I must become the Crown Prince.’

With that resolve, Liam hurriedly headed to the residence of his mother, Queen Yuliana, located at the center of the imperial palace.

“Can you really do it, Jonathan?”

It was the day when I brought Jonathan to meet Larry.

I reiterated to Jonathan, emphasizing that healing people was a more demanding task than healing animals or wounds.

“Sister, did you say Larry is the same age as me?”

Jonathan suddenly asked, interrupting my words.

“Yeah, just like our Jonathan.”

Jonathan gathered his small hands and closed his eyes for a moment.

“Then it should be fine. I can heal young children without causing significant harm. Right, Master?”

Gebino, who was by my side, nodded and smiled.

“Believe in me. I am the future successor who will lead the Kenoch family.”

Before long, we arrived at the Litua estate.

Compared to the elegant and sophisticated Count Kenoch’s estate, the Viscount Litua’s estate had a more simple and humble appearance, which made me worry that Jonathan might inadvertently offend someone with his noble manners.

However, luckily, Jonathan skillfully greeted everyone, including Alexi and Lloyd, who responded with appropriate respect.

‘Our mochi has grown up so much.’

The last person Jonathan met was Larry Litua.

“Ni-nice to meet you, y-young master, K-kennoch,”

“…Nice  to see you too, young master Larry.”

Larry’s distressed coughing fit made him look pitiful, so Jonathan tightly closed his eyes.

“I… I’ll definitely cure you.”

Soon, Jonathan brought his hands together and raised them towards Larry’s chest.

“Once you’re better, you have to play with me.”

Despite his continuous coughing, Larry managed a bright smile at Jonathan’s words for a moment.

The sight of the two children was adorable, but also a bit sad.

For different reasons, they were children who had to act like adults from a young age. The two leaned on each other for support.

Jonathan closed his eyes, raised his hands, and moved slightly away from Larry’s body.

“First, let me check the cause of the illness.”

As light emanated from his joined hands, Jonathan scanned from Larry’s head to toes.

“There’s a hole in your lungs. That’s why you can’t breathe well and keep coughing.”

Jonathan then laid Larry flat on the bed.

With Larry lying properly, Jonathan placed his hands on his chest again and solemnly began the treatment.

“I will seal the hole in your lungs and restore the healthy flow of blood throughout your body.”

Jonathan’s gestures of speaking and reverently raising both hands reminded one of a modern doctor.

Jonathan closed his eyes again, and a white light flowed from his entire hands into Larry’s body.

This state continued for over ten minutes. Beads of sweat formed on Jonathan’s forehead.

‘Seems being a healer is harder work than I thought.’

Finally, after completing the healing, Jonathan collapsed in exhaustion.

“All done.”

At the same time, Larry shot up from lying down and rushed over to Jonathan.

“Thank you, young master Kenoch!”

Without a single cough, he spoke and smiled fully.

“Larry!”

Seeing Larry like that, Alexi was already in tears. Marquis Lloyd was patting her back, but he also seemed quite surprised.

-Even Marquis Lloyd tried various methods to help. There was some progress, but no major improvement.

A mere child had completely cured in just over ten minutes an illness that even the continent’s greatest magician, the lord of the Magic Tower himself, couldn’t heal.

“That child has remarkable abilities, Your Highness.”

“That is precisely the miracle of divine power.”

It was not I, but Gevino who responded to Marquis Lloyd.

“Ah, you are the priest who is one step below the lord of the Mage Tower, the subordinate of His Highness Archduke Felosite. Pleased to meet you.”

“The supposedly greatest magician on the continent, yet one rank below His Highness. Of course your healing power cannot even compare to Jonathan’s.”

Concerned that it might not be the priest and the lord of the tower, they continued to fight as if they were competing, throwing fire from each other’s eyes.

Then, for the first time, my communication stone lit up with an incoming signal.

As I opened the glowing stone, Lucian’s voice rang out.

[An urgent matter has come up. Return to the palace immediately.]
