The World’s Strongest Woman Is Obsessed With Me

chapter 2

Episode 2 [The Workplace Collapsed in Just 10 Minutes After Being Hired]

Dragons are powerful beings, at the top of the food chain and apex predators, living a near-immortal life. After passing their young Hetchling stage and maturing, they become independent from their parents and live out their lives at their own leisure, which can sometimes become dull and repetitive.

For a dragon, anything that catches their interest or is enjoyable is incredibly valuable and rare, and they will do whatever it takes to make it their own and not lose that sense of excitement, even if it means acquiring something that is still living.

In other words, dragons have a strong attachment to certain things.

Olivia, the massive black dragon that had plunged the Lefrican Empire into chaos overnight, was now staring intently with her giant red eyes.

“Ahhhhh!!!!!! Come down here, you damn reptilian bastard!!!!!! You’ve made me a goddamn unemployed person!!!!!!” One crazy human was screaming until his voice was hoarse.

“[………]”

For the first time in her life, she felt a confusing emotion.

Surely what she was seeing was not just an illusion, right?

“[……Am I hallucinating..]”

Rubbing her eyes with her arms that were covered in black scales, she looked down again.

“Give it back! Give me back my job, you damn birdbrain!!!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!”

Well, at least I’m not crazy, Olivia thought to herself.

As far as Olivia knew, humans were so afraid of dragons that even the rumor of a fully grown dragon coming down was enough to make them pack up and flee.

I knew that both the mind and body were fragile organisms.

If an ordinary human were in this situation, they would already be confused or trembling with hesitation.

And not only is she standing there unscathed, but she’s also insulting a dragon?

What is this ingenious, crazy freak?

For some reason, I found myself intrigued.

“Today was my first day at work!!! Huh? Today was my first day at work!!! But damn, the office is already on fire after only 10 minutes of being there? Ha! Eat sh*t, you damn dog!!!”

Thunk!!!

With a bewildered expression, she jumped off the tower as Dante had requested.

The ground shook violently from the impact, and the earth split open, but she didn’t fall or even take a step back and instead looked confidently at Olivia.

Seated on the ground with her legs crossed, Olivia thought for a moment and then scratched her chin before saying in a low voice, “What do I look like to you?”

“A damn big, black lizard.”

Okay, he doesn’t seem to have any visual problems.

“Did you ever have a serious head injury when you were young?”

“I’ve lived healthy without ever having been sick in any way!”

His limbs were intact, and he seemed to be in his right mind.

Olivia’s expression became more serious as she scratched her head with her nails.

What is this human?

Instead of fearing the dragon, he’s having a conversation with her as if it’s nothing?

And he’s even answering her questions without hesitation!?

“Take responsibility already!!!”

“What…?”

As he spoke, Dante threw the mop that he had been carrying on his back at her.

Crack!

As expected, the mop wasn’t as strong as a dragon’s scales and broke into pieces on the ground.

“Take responsibilityyyyy!!!!”

“What are you talking about?”

Rolling his eyes and kicking his feet, he screamed.

Come to think of it, he had mentioned earlier that it was his first day at work.

“So, was this the place where that human guy works? And it’s the first time I’m working here too… Wait, hold on a moment.”

“Are you telling me that the only reason you’re talking nonsense to me, a dragon, without fear, is just because of a job?!”

“Just a job? Just a joohhh!!!!”

Snap! Snap, snap!

Dante grabbed everything within his reach and threw it at Olivia while foaming at the mouth.

Madness.

This human was pure madness itself.

As she thought that, Olivia let out a shallow moan.

“The job that I’ve been wanting, wishing, hoping, and longing for my whole life, just a job? Just a job?!!!”

“Ah, I understand! I’m sorry! I misspoke, so please put that tongue that can’t be controlled back in your mouth! I really can’t stand it!”

“Then take responsibility.”

“Huh…?”

A conversation running parallel.

He roared while clenching his fist until blood came out.

“Take responsibility, you bastard!!!!!!”

What does it mean to take responsibility?

Feeling cold sweat, Olivia rolled her head.

More importantly, why am I being pushed around by this human dragon?

Am I following him without realizing it?!

“aaahhhhh!!!! Take responsibility, you lizard!!!!!!”

“Fine! If that’s what you want, then I’ll give you as much treasure as you want! Enough wealth to live on for generations without ever having to work again──”

“I don’t need it!!!”

“W-what?! Ugh…! Then how about a beautiful maiden? If you’re a man, you should be interested in women──”

“I don’t need it!!!!”

Is this guy really human?

Dante extended both hands.

“Give me a job.”

“Huh…?”

“I want a job.”

“[What the heck is that supposed to mean!?]”

“Jooooobbbbb!!!!!!”

He fell to the ground and started waving his arms and legs like a baby.

“Waaah, I’m a jobless baby! Give me a job, you lizarddddddd!!!!!”

“[Are you insane!? Did a ghost of an unemployed person who couldn’t get a job in their past life possess you!? Oh, I see! …Then you shall become my slave and serve me for the rest of your life!]”

“!”

What’s the big deal about just having one meaningless job, when it’s not treasure or a woman?

Eventually, Olivia thought of anything to say with a feeling of giving up.

There’s no way a comfortable offer like this would be accepted by a selfish human being who enjoys it───

“Please take care of me from now on, Master!”

───but it seemed to be accepted.

In Dante’s ear, he could only hear those words repeated over and over again.

‘For life.’

A job for life.

Not just a temporary job.

A job for life!

“hehehehe!!!”

“[………Oh my goodness.]”

Where did the crazy guy who was screaming earlier go? As she looked at the human who was smiling happily at her, she covered her head with her hands.

…What did I just make myself a slave to?

But surprisingly, she didn’t feel too bad about it.

This was the first time in Olivia’s entire life that she had encountered such a person.

Although she thought of him as arrogant and wicked, there was an instinctive feeling of interest and fun that captivated her mind.

Something she had never felt before.

And so, this was the inevitable first encounter between Dante, the bravest man in the world, and Olivia, the strongest black dragon in the world.
