The Ytherrian Luminary

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: The Awakening of Earth

That was sure to cause commotion, a certain girl who had been watching the whole event stomped his foot and a tunnel suddenly appeared below xalin and lira and kell where they were standing and they fell in , the dm girl disappeared into the earth as well, spectators were confused on what was happening, earthbenders were quick to arrive and try to uncover the hole but it was sealed so they had. No idea where it led, meanwhile kell and lira find themselves in a cave lit by crystals, close by them they saw xalin laying there, 'you know you guys should put your guard up, she said as kell and lira both got into fighting stances

'relax, I'm not here to fight, I was confused at first but after seeing that I now understand he's the Luminara, and since he couldn't earthbend when he fought me I'm guessing he still hasn't learnt earthbending yet' said the girl as she came into light

'you' shouted lira clearly annoyed

'I'm willing to teach him, I understand without learning all elements he can't control the state he was in just now' the girl said' by the way call me Terra,' kell let down his guard and gently pushed lira's hands down to show he somewhat believed what the girl has been saying so far ' so how do we get out of here' asked kell,

Carry your friend here, I'll get us out, as she started walking towards the wall

She bent her knees and used her hands to gesture and stomped her foot and pushed her arms infront of her and a tunnel formed, she kept on creating a tunnel until where she decided to create an earth pillar and they all went to the surface and found themselves in a forest,

How long xalin was going to pass out, they had no idea

Kell put him down and they started brainstorming on how they could get him up

Meanwhile xalin has visions telling him he needs to master the luminary state as soon as possible, if by any chance he came across a strong opponent able to kill him in the luminary state, that would be the end of the cycle, he wouldn't be reincarnated and the world wouldn't have it's saviour, memories of the past luminaries start. Flooding in, a memory from luminary Trasus comes where he goes into the Luminary state creates an air current that sends him into the sky he cancels his luminary state and uses armament haki, he's floating over thousands of armed men he uses haki and does a move xalin had seen in his last fight, 'galaxy impact' the air around him distorts as his fist is filled with haki that it looks like flames he sends a powerful punch to the ground causing an impact that destroys the earth and everyone standing below him covering a wide radius of 2 kilometers, his destructive power is unlike anything he had ever seen every enemy is destroyed

'hey there young luminarian he says looking at xalin, I am Trasus your past life, I came in to aid you against your opponent, you need to learn earthbending and spirit magic if you want to control all our abilities and surpass your weaknesses, stronger enemies awaits you, you must save the world ' he says as his markings start glowing xalin is pushed back into the real world as he jumps up from his sleep to see Lira kell and the girl she had right earlier in the arena, '

Xalin woke with a jolt, his breath coming in ragged gasps as the last vestiges of his vision faded. He blinked, the bright light of the forest filtering through the trees above. His mind was racing with the memories of his past life as Luminary Trasus. The overwhelming power of Trasus's Galaxy Impact still echoed in his mind, a stark reminder of how far he had to go.

"Good morning, sparky," a familiar, sarcastic voice said, snapping Xalin out of his thoughts. It was the earthbending girl from the arena, standing with her arms crossed and a smug grin on her face. Her feet dug firmly into the earth, and she had an air of confidence about her.

Xalin rubbed his head, still feeling the weight of his encounter in the Luminary state. "Why are you here?" he asked, his tone more curious than hostile.

The girl shrugged casually. "I saw what happened in the arena. You're the Luminary, aren't you? Figured as much. And if you're going to be the big world-saving hero, you're going to need a little help. You're still lacking… earthbending." She glanced at Lira and Kell, who were standing beside him. "Without mastering all the elements, you're as good as lost when facing stronger opponents."

Lira, clearly annoyed by the girl's presence, glared at her. "And why should we trust you?"

The girl stepped forward, her bare feet pressing into the soft dirt beneath her. "Because unlike you two, I can teach him how to earthbend. Without it, he'll never control the Luminary state properly." She looked back at Xalin. "You can call me Terra. Now, are you ready to start learning, or do you want to keep passing out every time your markings light up?"

Xalin took a deep breath and slowly nodded. Kell, sensing Xalin's resolve, let out a sigh of relief. "Alright, Terra. So how do we start?"

Terra grinned, satisfied with their decision. "I'll get us out of this forest, and we'll start your training."

With that, Terra bent her knees and, with a swift motion, stomped the ground. She gestured with her arms, and a tunnel opened up before them, the earth parting with ease. As Kell helped Xalin to his feet, Lira kept her eyes on Terra, still wary of the girl's motives. Together, they followed Terra through the tunnel she created.

After some time, they reached the surface, emerging in a clearing surrounded by towering trees. The sun was high in the sky, and a warm breeze blew through the forest. Terra turned to face Xalin, her eyes sharp and determined.

"Alright, Luminary," she began, stepping closer to him. "Your training starts now. Earthbending isn't like air or water. It's about being stubborn, unyielding, and standing your ground no matter what comes your way. You're going to learn how to move the earth beneath your feet, but first, you need to learn how to feel it."

Xalin nodded, his body still sore from the previous fight, but his mind was focused.

Terra walked over to a flat patch of dirt and gestured for Xalin to follow. "Take off your shoes," she said. "I want you to feel the ground beneath you."

Xalin hesitated but did as instructed. The cool dirt pressed against his skin, grounding him in a way he hadn't experienced before. Terra positioned herself a few feet away, lowering herself into a firm stance.

"Earthbending is about balance and connection. Feel the earth, let it become part of you. The key is to listen to it." She dug her heels into the ground. "Now, do what I do."

She stomped her foot, and the earth rippled beneath her, raising a small platform in front of her. "Your turn."

Xalin closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He mirrored Terra's stance, feeling the ground beneath him. For a moment, he stood there, motionless, trying to connect with the earth. Then, he stomped his foot—nothing happened.

Terra crossed her arms, watching him intently. "You're thinking too much. Stop trying to force it and just feel it."

Xalin tried again, but the result was the same. The ground remained still, unyielding. Frustration built inside him as the weight of his failures pressed on his mind. How could he master all these elements when he couldn't even move a pebble?

"Relax, Xalin," Kell said from the sidelines. "You've already done incredible things. Just give it time."

Lira, watching closely, added, "Don't overthink it. You're stubborn enough. Use that."

Xalin nodded and took another deep breath. He tried to clear his mind, pushing aside the thoughts of his past failures. Slowly, he lowered himself into a firm stance once more, this time focusing entirely on the ground beneath him.

He felt the earth under his feet—solid, unmovable. He imagined himself becoming one with it, his body and the ground connected. Then, with determination, he stomped his foot down.

There was a tremor. The earth shifted slightly beneath him, and a small mound of dirt rose at his feet.

Terra grinned. "Now you're getting it."

Xalin looked down at the tiny mound, a sense of accomplishment washing over him. He had done it—barely—but it was a start.

"That's enough for now," Terra said, stepping forward. "Earthbending is about patience and persistence. You're not going to master it in a day. But you're on the right track."

Xalin wiped the sweat from his brow and nodded. "I'm ready for whatever's next."

"Good," Terra replied. "Because this was just the warm-up. Tomorrow, we get serious."

---

As Xalin slept later that night, he found himself in another vision, this time standing in an ancient battlefield. Thousands of soldiers surrounded him, armed to the teeth, and across the field stood Luminary Trasus, his past life. Trasus floated above the army, his markings glowing brightly as he entered the Luminary State.

"Watch closely," Trasus said, his voice echoing through the battlefield. "This is what awaits you if you master your abilities."

Trasus raised his arms, the air swirling around him. He shot into the sky, hovering above the enemy forces. His body glowed with divine energy as he summoned his full strength. Xalin could feel the raw power emanating from him.

With a single punch, Trasus unleashed a move that shook the very heavens. Galaxy Impact The air distorted around his fist as he struck the ground below. The impact was cataclysmic, destroying everything within a two-kilometer radius. The ground shattered, and the enemy forces were obliterated in an instant.

Trasus floated back down, his eyes glowing as he looked at Xalin. "This is your potential, Xalin. But you must master all the elements. Only then can you control the Luminary state without losing yourself."

Xalin stared in awe, the weight of his destiny pressing down on him. Trasus's voice echoed in his mind as the vision faded.

---

Xalin woke with a start, his heart pounding in his chest. The vision was still fresh in his mind. He had to master earthbending—and quickly.

As he opened his eyes, he saw Terra, Kell, and Lira standing nearby. "Good morning, sparky," Terra said with a smirk.

Xalin sighed, pushing the vision from his mind for now. "Alright," he said, standing up. "Let's get to work."
