Toman's Black Cat

Emma had talked to me practically the whole way. She was very upset that Draken didn't notice her.

I found myself giggling a little at some of her comments on what else she should try to get his attention.

"Why are you laughing?" She squeaked with a pout.

"I wasn't laughing, I just thought of a really really great idea for him to know how you feel."

She perked up at that comment and came close to hear my idea.

"Well.." I said with a whisper. "You could always….JUST TELL HIM!"

My comment made me get another smack while at the same time I heard a laugh from behind me.

She began to storm off, but I knew she'd forgive me. I turned to see who had actually laughed and see a blushing blonde…

HOLY…CHIFUYU.

"Sorry, I wasn't listening in or anything. I just thought your comment was…funny." He said while looking anywhere but at me.

I couldn't help but smile at him. He is always so sweet.

"It would be a shame if you weren't listening in a little. If you laughed but it wasn't because you thought I was funny, I think I would actually be offended then." I said with a giggle.

He looked at me with a bright smile and then just stared. We didn't speak and his face suddenly went super red, and he turned away quickly.

Before I could ask if he was okay, "Chifuyu, stop flirtin and let's go." Baji called out while looking our way. I turned toward him and the image of his death suddenly flew through my mind. All I could do was stand there. I didn't even realize he was now standing in front of me until, "you good? We gotta go and Mikey'll kill me if he thinks I made you upset."

I collected myself and did a quick nod.

Neither of these two I had ever really introduced myself to.

HOLD UP.

I quickly reached out to grab Baji's arm to keep him with me. "hey, what do you mean Mikey would be upset? I've never even introduced myself to you. I could be anyone." I said ending the last sentence with a triumphant squeak.

I looked at Baji and then to Chifuyu, and neither could look me in the eye and their faces were red. The silence was more than deafening.

We were only a few steps away from being in the field when I had grabbed Baji's arm to question him.

"Seriously, can you please tell me?" I pleaded.

"Y/n-chan!" Mikey spoke, suddenly right next to me.

He grabbed my hand that was currently not attached to Baji and pulled me away.

"We have to start the meeting now." He said smiling at me.

Mikey was gonna have to start giving out beatings like candy. Every time he isn't around, some guy is talking to her.

Mikey threw a glare over his shoulder at Baji, but Baji just laughed.

While Mikey was pulling me toward Draken, Mitsuya approached us. I had met him once. He is so sweet! Very gentlemanly.

"Hi, Y/n." He greeted.

"Hey, Takashi! How are you and your family?" I asked excitedly. I love hearing about his sisters. Seeing the way he talks about them, I can feel the joy immediately move from him to me in a moment.

Before he could tell me, it's like we both felt the air grow super cold. I turned toward Mikey only to see him pouting.

Mitsuya let out a soft laugh before saying, "Mikey seems to be a jealous boyfriend."

Boyfriend?

I stood there wide-eyed thinking about this. Trying to remember if he had ever asked to make us an actual us. The more I thought, the more I felt my heart begin to crack.

He never said. So then, what am I to him?

Mikey noticed the sudden change in my expression and went to pull me along again. I didn't move.

He didn't even tell me how he feels about me. He knows how I feel about him.

I took a breath before turning to Mikey.

"I just remembered I have to take care of something." I said and pulled away. "I'll see you guys around." I turned and walked away.

I'm such an idiot.

The Toman meeting came and went with Mikey deciding to go against Moebius. Even though the couple had been bruised up quite bit, both were fine.

Pah even spoke about how the girl that was there claimed another girl saved her and her boyfriend. The boyfriend didn't hear her and actually got help from some other Toman members in the area. The entire gang, was surprised. Upon listening to the description, Baji called out saying there was no way it was a chick, cus this dude helped him and Chifuyu before.

None of them could agree who it could have been. The only one who seemed more worried than usually was Takemitchy.

Mikey's POV

He couldn't understand why she got so quiet and left like that. He had even tried calling her afterwards, only to not get an answer.

"Mikey, can I ask you something?" Mitsuya spoke as he came up to Mikey.

Mikey remembered how she smiled at him and it pissed him off.

"What?" He said firmly.

Mitsuya took a breath and continued. "You never confessed to her, did you?"

Mikey froze. He started running that last moment through his mind. Surely she should know right.

As he stood there trying to think, Mitsuya shook his head.

"It's obvious how she feels about you Mikey." Mitsuya spoke up.

"Yeah? Well isn't it easy to see how I feel about her? Mikey practically shouted.

"No." Mitsuya said with no hesitation. With that, he walked away to leave Mikey to his thoughts.
