Chapter 6: 6- Prime
(Weeks later)
Sam sighed to himself as he nursed a coffee as he watched Ironhide, know known as Drift due to his insane habit for pulling stunts unprompted, chuckels to himself as he messes with his color scheme.
Drift went through several colors, eventually landing on a good black and gold. He was currently imitating a version of the new StarkTech cars as he was given the task of deciding the final colors for the luxury version.
See, Tony was a stubborn asshole and was bring headstrong about the luxury model coming in one color scheme for some reason. "You done yet?
Drift bristled. "Don't rush perfection!"
'Whatever' Sam shook his head at the newly Teir 2 Cybertronian and looked back to the tablet he had borrowed from Tony, not that he cared at all. On this tablet, were a bunch of suit designs that he had in the worms for a possible vigilante set up.
It was more of a pet project than anything. More importantly, Sam was contemplating who to make his first Prime. One one side, he could promote Drift, but he wasn't much of a leader and that was what he was hoping fir as the first Prime.
The other idea was to use Drift as a personal bodyguard untill he raised his own version of Optimus Prime. 'Actually, why don't I just literally make Optimus?'
With this idea in mind, Sam got up from his workshop and ran over to one of the trucks that him and Stark had worked on in the past few weeks. Tony had told him that it worked and it was just a test model, so he could keep it as his own, so he had no problem making it into a Transformer.
Placing his hand on it, it's entire frame and make was uploaded into his head. Condensing all of the Energon in his system into a ball, it quickly became a half forged Teir 2 spark. Downing a vial of liquid Energon, his stored were replenished so he could repeat the same process. Only he had to do that another three times before the spark was completed.
At this point, the highly condensed spark was glowing a bright blue-gold, bright enough to blind any human eyes for at least a half hour before it disappeared into the truck's chassis. Alongwith it went hundreds of embers of information about how Sam wanted this Prime to function.
He wanted a kind soul, he wanted a firm hand to guide his people, he wanted a leader. He wanted Optimus Prime in the Cybertronian flesh.
A long series of clicks and the sliding of metal sounded out as the truck transformed into the towering figure of Optimus Prime, looking pretty much like how he did in the Knights movie.
'It had shit plot, but at least they had a good design team.' Sam thought to himself as he smiled giddily at the real image of Optimus Prime in front of him.
Optimus looked around, crouched as to not damage the ceiling. "Where are we, Sam?"
"In Stark Tower, but you won't be here for long."
Optimus nodded, transforming back into his truck form, which changed its colors to blue and red flames. "Shall we roll out sir?" He asked through his speakers, vaguely imitating a brittish accent, making Sam laugh.
"Yeah, but let me transform a few more of these Cara. It's about time we set up an Energon mine."
Sam did as he said, using his liquid energon to make several more Cybertronians specifically made for mining materials and Emergon to fuel their brethren.
Using the industrial elevator to leave the building, they all rolled into Skyripper as he took them out towards the ocean. After a while of travel, they soon came across the image of a massive metal monolith, completely covered in a high tech cloak.
"This, is my little pet project for you all. This is your new home, where most of your Energon mining will take place. It's far out of the way from most people, and I even convinced Tony to buy the area for me, so no one will be snooping around for a long time." Sam explained to Optimus, who transformed into his full figure as soon as he was let out.
All around, there were basic machines set up, pumping out all kinds of minerals and glowing blue rocks. There were a few more transformers around, but most of them were Teir 3's- miners just like the five he had made before the trip.
"There are currently 16 sublevels for mining and 5 above between them and the surface for your own decisions. And in the center of this complex... is a basic copy of my Allspark." Sam told Optimus, his voice gravely serious.
"It is only capable of creating up to Teir 2 Cybertronians, but even so you must never do without my express permission. On top of that, you will carry it with you at all times from now on. This kind of power is dangerous if it gets into the wrong hands, and we don't want our kind running rampant, being used as mere war slaves."
Optimus nodded, just as serious. "I understand, Sam. No one will ever get their hands on the copy."
He then paused, turning to Sam as he watched the miners go off to the mine shutes after greeting him goodbye. "What does it mean to be a Prime?"
It made sense that he would ask this, he's not the real Optimus with millions of years of experience afterall. "Being a Prime means...leading your people, but also more than that. It's being the firm, but being strong enough to know when to be kind."
Optimus contemplated his words, no matter how plagiarized, soon coming to an understanding. "We, as Cybertronians are very strong, but I must be here in order to make it so my people don't attempt to harm the humans, rather to help them."
Sam smiled, looking up to Optimus like one would look at their son. "See? You've already got this whole Prime thing down."
