Transmigrated With A Time Chamber In DxD

Chapter 280: Chapter 280

He walked around with no sense of direction, but his budding excitement told her he saw a new path.

[I guess he won't need this anymore.]

She turned around and went back into the kitchen. Knowing how he was, she was sure he'd come up with some new outrageous method. But she'd still help him without hesitation for it was the least she could do for her savior.

Time Chamber: Three Months Later (3 years and 8 months after entry)

.

Time passed once more in the time chamber…and there was no peace.

Gu! …Gu! …Gu! …Gu! …Gu!

The sound of steel pounding against the floor constantly resounded throughout the building. Since early morning, this constant thumping sound had not stopped.

Igor was in the gym doing deadlifts like his life depended on it. His vest was completely soaked, his skin covered in a shiny film of sweat. Different kinds of machines and weight benches had different weights prepared for his early-morning routine.

The gravity was cranked up to ten thousand and the combined weight of the barbell was over four-hundred kilograms. His red mane of hair stood ramrod straight, his crimson gaze narrowed in fanatical concentration.

Gu! …Gu! …Gu! …Gu!

His arms remained latched onto the bar like clamps and his legs worked on lifting it like hydraulic jacks. The light reflected off his sweaty body, revealing multiple veins that bulged underneath his skin

For three months without reprisal, Igor kept his Demigod State active. He was like a machine that knew no concept of rest. One hour of sleep a day was more than enough for him.

He trained in the gym like a maniac, or fought Triny like a man lusting after death. Night or day, he'd sate his desires in the most incongruous of ways.

High gravity levels, heavy weights, and high reps---things that could kill someone became his addiction. His demi-ki worked overtime to repair the muscles in his body. His back, particularly his spine suffered the most from this kind of death-courting training, but he'd quickly heal before he even noticed it.

His actions were the complete opposite of his initial methods during the first few years. If his previous actions promoted the flag of stability and control, then his current actions promoted the principals of radicality and recklessness.

"WHUUAAAAAA! FEEL THE BURN!"

Du! ..Du! ..Du! ..Du! ..Du! ..Du!

The speed of his deadlifts increased. He was already fifty reps in yet not once did he rest. The muscles in his calves were bulging to the extent one would swear they were bricks. His thighs protruded so much they threatened to tear his shorts at the seams.

His grunts along with the thumping of heavy weights on the ground were the only things heard. He was a machine that didn't know the concept of fatigue. Ruthless training, ruthless sets, ruthless reps, and limited rest---suicidal behavior that would leave even the toughest of warriors crippled in bed.

"Osu! Last thirty! COME ON!"

Du! …Du! …Du! …Du! …Du!

Igor had no mercy on himself nor his body. To him, training and fighting had become a much-needed drug. Only through treating himself like this would he feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

This sort of sudden change was not without basis. Three months ago, Igor realised his methods were wrong. These were his instincts. Instead of trying to suppress and control them, what if he embraced them? These were his instincts after all and control was overrated.

Just like how men naturally lusted after women, his lust after battle was also intrinsic---it shouldn't be erased nor suppressed otherwise, what was the point of living? It was with this realisation he abandoned all pretenses.

He'd immediately entered his Demigod State and secluded himself in the gym. He'd initially wanted to enter full-powered state from the get-go, but suppressed the idea after he realised he'd been out of touch with his wilder side for too long.

His Demigod State, while not nearly as intense as his full-powered state, would result in similar demented symptoms after a few days. But for three months, Igor never reached the point of demented.

His eyes shone with deadly anticipation for everything, yet he never leaked killing intent. Even on days where he'd go out and find Triny, it was always with the desire for battle, not with lust for her life.

Of course, he got beaten. He got beaten on all occasions. In her true form, the little lass could easily suppress him. Her power as a High-Supreme Class was not something a mid-Supreme Class like him could hope to face.

Triny was easily three-to-four times stronger than him. At their level of power, even a twenty percent difference in strength was enough for one party to completely dominate the other party, not to mention a four-hundred percent difference.

Sometimes, Triny didn't use her true form. She'd use her own version of Origin Mode and combine it with the Aura-Flowing State for an explosive boost in power. She might not be able to bend the elements to her will, but her explosive strength far surpassed Igor's speed..

During this time however, Igor not only became more in-tune with his true self, his strength also increased rather considerably. The gains were not the same compared to training in his base state, but the enriched healing somewhat made up for the difference.

Three months of fighting and training brought about tangible benefits. For one, Igor grew just a bit more muscular. The muscle growth was more of a side-effect than an intended procedure. His constant training with heavyweights served to increase his strength and explosive power.

His constant fighting with Triny was not without benefits either. He maintained his flexibility and dexterity along with his balance and stability. What he gained the most from all of this however, was a drastic increase in his endurance and stamina.

His rate of generating ki also saw a sharp incline. Constant fighting, constant tension, and constant exertion sent his metabolism to sky-high margins. Fighting Triny and training constantly required not only endurance and stamina, but also large amounts of demi-ki.

Like now, his hundred-reps of what equated to lifting a small pyramid required enough ki to destroy a small city…and that was only the beginning.

"Hahaha! I'm done with my warm-up. It's time to crank it up!."

{That's enough, Igor. Did you forget what you said you'd do after 'warming up'?}

A soft angelic voice resounded in his head. It had the effect of calming his excited state. Triny's gentle chastisement had him rubbing his head in slight embarrassment.

"Oh right. I forgot."

Whenever she was in her true form, Triny emanated the bearing of a goddess without equal. Years of training allowed her to turn from a mindless beast to an entity worthy of her stature and power.

{Then what are you waiting for?}

"Yeah, yeah. Don't rush me, old hag. I'm going."

{...}

Still, her noble exterior always faltered in when it came to this idiot.

{Hmph!}

Tswii!

Today was the day. Today marked exactly ninety days since he assumed his Demigod State. Over time, Igor's temperament gradually receded to that of his normal state. Aside from an enhanced desire to train and fight, he was relatively normal…that and a reduction of IQ in Triny's humble opinion.

But aside from the red hair and eyes, he was not that different from his normal state. Maybe he'd be more inclined to lop off heads and break bones, but…semantics.

Now was the time to test if he could utilise his full power without going berserk.

"Alright, Triny. I'm counting on you again."

Deep within the confines of the time chamber, Igor prepared for his second attempt amidst a howling storm. The strong winds cooled his hot body. His vest was practically drenched with his sweat. The cooling sensation was much-needed, but not one Igor could take pleasure in.

*Clenches Fists*

The ki in his body bubbled to life. His body temperature increased, caused the thin film of sweat to turn into wisps of water vapour.

"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

su su su su su su su su su su su

A crimson aura cloak gradually flamed to life around him. Each wisp of his aura was as red as blood and with each passing second, they grew more vigourous.

Su Su Su Su Su Su Su Su Su Su Su Su Su

The ground tremble amidst his steadily building aura. The weight of his pressure engulfed the region in a heavy feeling. His aura steadily lashed out like violent flames doused in oil, forming a red bonfire around him.

Su! Su! Su! Su! Su! Su! Su! Su! Su! Su!

His clothes billowed violently as if he were in front of a turbine. The fluctuations of aura grew further and further with each step taken closer to the trigger for the ascended transformation. His monstrous reserves of ki made itself known by causing violent winds that rivaled the previous typhoon.

Pah! …Pah!

Streaks of lightning flashed around his form, the pressure so immense a normal person would've died. His power was building up and the veins on his body bulged under the surge of demi-ki flowing through his body.

"Heeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa!"

His pupils flickered with the intention of disappearing. His hair straightened further like it had electricity running through it to form jagged knife-peaks.

His muscles threatened to swell with each passing moment. His body was being forced to grow bigger to accommodate the sudden expansion of his ki veins.

The surge of demi-ki pouring out of his divine strand was reaching a breaking point, and Igor could feel it.

"HaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

GRUUUUUUUU!

His power exploded in a giant swirling mass of red. A devastating shockwave spread from his body in all directions. His immense power and humungous reserves of energy caused the very weather to change.

Alone within the hurricane of his own making, his vague form was hidden beneath the massive plume of violently fluctuating ki. Yet compared to it, he stood calmly on the spot.

His dark silhouette was terrifying, like a budding tsunami waiting to unleash hell on the world. It was only fortunate that would not seem to be the case.

SU! SU! SU! SU! Su! Su! Su! Su!

Gradually, his power was withdrawn into his body. The massive hailstorm of red slowly faded away until a steady, yet rapidly fluctuating aura cloaked his body.

Su Su Su Su Su Su Su Su Su Su

His muscled form was revealed. His arms and legs had doubled in size. His loose vest now firmly clung onto his figure, displaying his massive chest and chiselled abdomen.

His breaths were husky, his body so hot white wisps of water vapour could be seen coming out of his mouth. His heart beat like an overzealous engine. His arteries were pushed so close to his body his skin adopted a very slight tinge of red.

Compared to before, his strength had increased to an astonishing 170x multiplier. It seemed like a small leap from his previous 165x multiplier, but for his someone of his calibre, it was massive.

"HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!"

GRUUUUUUUUU!!!!!
