Transmigrated With A Time Chamber In DxD

Chapter 282: Chapter 282

His newly-gained insight was helpful, but it wouldn't prevent him from getting a beating from Atid in the upcoming war. That idiot Goku-lover must've surely picked up some tricks since their last battle. Igor might've lost once, but it'd be embarrassing if he disgraced Prince Vegeta by losing to a pervert and his loser dragon again.

He still had a year so for once, he decided to put off his training and work together with the Triny. Those three tails she gave him were cool and he was so looking to the other four.

"Wake up, old hag! It's time to train!"

1999/09/15- September 30, 1999 (Thursday), Heavenly Realm

.

That time of month has arrived once more. From youth to veteran, all were looking forward to this upcoming war.

In the Heavenly Realm, war had become a staple of their culture, a field where warriors are filtered from cowards and where bravado is put to the test.

In the Heavenly Realm, those who fear or admonish war are universally despised and spat upon. This was no place for cowards and pacifists. War was the breeding ground for many of their pantheon's top warriors.

In this world of theirs, no matter what conflicts or disagreements, it was universally acknowledged to settle them all on the battlefield. Be it racial hatred between Deva and Asura, grievances against other warriors, or any other reason, all of it could be discussed with their blades.

It wasn't unheard of for allegiances to be switched. It also wasn't unheard of for Deva from Indra's side to suddenly fight alongside the Asura in Shiva's camp. Those not yet drafted into the army of Supreme Class entities could freely switch their allegiances without repercussion, though it was somewhat frowned upon.

Schemes and backstabbing however were extremely frowned upon in the Heavenly Realm. Uncovered or discovered plots would be met with an extremely harsh punishment which often resulted in death, especially since gods such as Shiva and Indra made it known they despised such conniving actions.*

So it stood to no surprise why the Hindu Pantheon was one of, if not the strongest pantheon in the world and also had the highest rate of unity amongst its ranks.

There were people and races who still hated each other, but the hate is bound to mellow when you've killed your enemy six times.

It was no wonder the Heavenly Realm was a place all warriors desired to be in. For people like Igor, this realm could be considered a home away from home.

In this upcoming war, there were already talks of watching the two heirs fight against each other once more. It was clear the previous time was not enough, especially for those who were unfortunate enough to pass out during the fight.

There were murmurs and silent pleas for a second fight between them. Some of the Supreme Class entities also expressed the same sentiments. The last battle between the two heirs was legendary and after some rumours spread, it was revealed Igor had not used his full power.

Clearly, information of the power Igor displayed on Earth was revealed and it disseminated through the ranks. The Asura used this opportunity to thoroughly humiliate the Deva by saying how Igor 'allowed' Atid to win.

This sort of trash-talk happened even during the supply battles between those of the High Class and lower. Children, teenagers, and young men traded barbs with each other, constantly bragging about how powerful their respective heirs were.

Igor and Atid were undoubtedly the dazzling stars of the new generation. Their power alone eclipsed their peers by considerable--no, unimaginable margins. Most people their age were still frolicking around the ranks of Ultimate Class at best.

The exceptions were those with extremely fortunate circumstances or powerful bloodlines. They had reached the realm of gods, but there were absolutely none besides these two who could reach Supreme Class, and they weren't even fifteen!

Most boys at that age were still 'discovering' themselves with body lotion and tissues, yet they frolicked amongst the gods and ancient entities like equals. These two were monsters in every sense of the word, and they deserved the title of heirs, leaders of the new generation.

For a second clash between the strongest duo, everyone was actively looking forward to it without exception.

Mount Kailasa

.

In the forests of the mountain, Shiva laid on the grass with his head propped against a pillow. Curled next to him was a tiger cup enjoying the ministrations of his fingers on its head.

Tomorrow was the day when the main war would begin. So before that happened, he needed to speak with Igor.

Tswii!

Just like clockwork, the blonde arrived in all his glory. Atleast he had the decency to cover up with a cloak this time.

"Lord Shiva."

"Sit down with me, Dimori."

"Yes."

Igor untied the strawmat strapped to his back, laid it on the ground, and sat on it with his legs crossed. There was no need for overly convoluted pretenses between them. He did not speak further nor enquire why Shiva called him over as soon as he left the time chamber.

A few minutes passed between them in silence. They were routinely filled by the tiger cub purring or occasionally licking Shiva's hand.

Igor was silent without complaint. His body was pumped to the brim with nature energy, forcing his eyes to turn yellow in colour. No matter how long he looked, he still couldn't believe how much of a monster Shiva was, and this was him severely, severely, SEVERELY restrained.

"I can feel the bond between you and Trihexa has grown stronger."

"Yes it has. We've trained together on how to best compliment our abilities."

"Hmmm…"

Once again, silent descended upon them. The cub playfully twisted and treated Shiva's hand like a snake. From grabbing it, to biting it, Shiva didn't mind its playful nature.

"Your battle tomorrow…how confident are you?"

Igor knew he was talking about Atid.

"I have trained as well as I could. I have no knowledge of what Atid has managed to accomplish, but I will fight with full intent to defeat him."

"Hmmm…very well."

For the first time, Shiva opened his eyes and looked at Igor.

"Remember this. You are my heir-apparent. You no longer fight for yourself, but my honour as well. I will not shoulder you the burden of attaining victory, but I do expect you to fight with your full strength…your combined strength."

Igor remained unwavering in front of Shiva's gaze.

"I will do my best, Lord Shiva."

.

The first of October marked the dawn of a new war. The air was rife with all kinds of mythical energies. Blood, gore, and blood-curling screams of pain, sorrow, and vengeance filled the air.

Wives and sisters were killed. Husbands and brothers fought with righteous fury. On the battlefield, there was no such thing as gender. Whether you had a hole or a pole, all a sword could see was a flesh sheath.

War happened every month. After some point, people would adapt. At some point in time, one would not scream in pain after having their arm cut off for the twentieth time. But the pain of losing a loved one, even with the knowledge of their imminent resurrection, was something very difficult to accept for most.

War was not for the faint of heart. Many couldn't make it through the first five wars. Shellshock was not something to take lightly. Losing a comrade, partner, sibling, or lover could break a person. They had the knowledge of possible resurrection, but what was knowledge in front of instinct?

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! BROTHER!!!!!"

It was heavily recommended to always 'sign-up' alone. As harsh as it was, it was easier to lose a comrade you just met over a friend you knew for years. It was unfortunate for those who did not heed the warning, but the rest thrived.

Puchi!

Cao Cao was one of those who thrived in war. He hadn't reached the Five Wars watershed, but he was so at home in the battlefield it was like he was a veteran of ten wars. For a normal human, that was very impressive.

He was virtually untouchable by anyone. His elite training from the Great Sage himself meant his perception was beyond the norm. At eleven years of age, without his sacred gear, he was at the realm of Peak High Class. With his spear, he could kill Ultimate Class entities and seriously injure God Class entities if given the chance.

Cao Cao knew his limits. He was a smart boy for his age and had not died once in all the wars he's been in. He treaded carefully and only fought against those of Ultimate Class or lower.

But he held an aspiration. For a brief moment, his eyes gazed at the skies. The Supreme Armies of Indra and Shiva stood opposite each other. The power they radiated was restrained, yet suffocating.

In the midst of those powerful figures, Cao Cao singled out a golden gaze filled with indifference. His blonde hair fell to his side, not in its usual ponytail.

Cao Cao yearned to follow in the footsteps of that man, of the one call Igor von Dimori. Amidst all those supreme beings, he was the only human, and he was above most of them.

It wasn't just Cao Cao. Most, if not all warriors aspired to be part of the Supreme Army, to have the pleasure of standing side to side with their god.

Alas, many desired the position, but could not fathom the responsibilities. Igor was very clear on what would need to be done today.

No longer could he fight for the sake of enjoyment. Now, he had to fight with his title as heir-apparent on the line.

But no matter what, he would win.

Explanation: Didn't this guy fund the Khaos Brigade or something? I mean it has yet to happen. I'm just putting it out there. Maybe it won't even happen.
