Trapped By The Contract Assasin

Chapter 5: Chapter Five: Sly like a fox

Ivy didn't know how to explain to the young girl behind her. She prayed she wouldn't have to kill the innocent little girl of about 18.

" Have you become deaf and dumb?" The young lady asked angrily.

" The Senator asked me to serve his dinner in the room," Ivy responded, without turning around.

" You bitch," The girl burst out, still very angry." I know you didn't only serve him dinner, you made yourself available too."

Ivy laughed and didn't intend to hide that fact from the angry girl. " Listen, Julia, your whore of a Father doesn't stand a chance. You should be concerned about his funeral, not his affairs with women."

Of course, Ivy knew everyone in that house by name and age. She was taught to never be surprised by the next step someone may take. To always be on guard and ready for anything and anyone.

" You bitch," Julia, a blond with quite striking ocean blue eyes, ran towards Ivy in a furry. She attempted to grab her hair, but Ivy can never be caught off guard. Ivy quickly held her by the wrist making her wince in pain.

" Your father is a dog and Lena is merely a victim of his uncontrollable libido. And look at you, here acting superhero and saint, when we both know you've got skeletons in your cupboard."

" Let me go bitch!" Her wrist was already turning red and the more she winced in pain, the more Ivy applied more pressure to it. " I don't know what you are talking about,"

Ivy chuckled with a sly smile on her face. " Says the girl who has an affair with her Uncle,"

Julia turned pink immediately after she heard those words. The astounded look on her face couldn't be hidden.

" Surprised, Julia?" Ivy cracked a chuckle, " Don't be. I won't tell Daddy, it's our little secret." She let go of her hand and Julia immediately started rubbing her wrist.

" Now hurry up to your room. I know Uncle is there waiting for you," Ivy enjoyed the surprised and scared look on her face.

Julia was confused and lost for words. She didn't know how to deny or respond to the woman before her. But one thing is certain, the person isn't Lena.

" Who…who… Who are you?" Julia muscled up the courage to ask.

" The only way to find out is if you breathe your last, by my hands," Her eyes turned red when she said those words. The tall slim girl ran to her room.

Ivy smiled and continued walking downstairs.

She got in her car and took off. After driving just a short distance she discovered she was being tailed. And of course, she knew they were coming. The Senator couldn't die smiling.

She sped and they did too. After racing a distance, Ivy spots another car coming from the other side of the road. She increased her speed and the car came running toward her at full speed. She was ready for the crash as she tactfully hit the other car out of the way and ran a distance.

She quickly got out of the car and pressed a button on her necklace and the car set ablaze.

She heard the Senator's men coming after her and took on her heels. She ran as fast as she could in the dark and the images which acted as a guide were the incident that occurred when she was a kid and her father left her in the middle of nowhere.

She kept running till she reached the park. She didn't need to be familiar with the terrain before she knew where she was going.

" Don't let her escape," One of the men chasing Ivy let out angrily. " The boss ordered we bring her head to his funeral,"

She smiled upon hearing what the man said but had no time to stop and respond to them.

She finally reached the park. She saw two couples moving together, holding hands. She hated the sight of such foolishness. She pulled out a small knife and stood in front of the couple.

" Hand over the overcoat," She demanded, pointing the knife at the lady who was already shaking with fear.

" What do you want from us?" the guy beside the lady asked, trying hard to sound calm but failing.

" I was clear enough," Ivy retorted. " I want the overcoat,"

The scared lady quickly pulled off the tiger overcoat and handed it over to Ivy. Ivy wore it with all haste, she rummaged through the pockets and found a wallet and some money. She threw them at the lady, " I don't want your money," she informed, running off leaving the couple astonished at what just transpired.

She saw someone standing beside his car patiently looking at his watch. When she turned around she found the men still looking for her in the Park. She ran towards the young man leaning against his car and pulled him in for a kiss.

The strange guy was stunned at what was going on. She kept on kissing the stranger till the men chasing her lost hope and left the park dejected and unsatisfied.

She pulled out and looked at the striking gray eyes. " Sorry," She whispered and took on her heels again before the confused guy could even say anything.

She bumped into someone and on looking up, discovered it was one of the Senator's men. The huge guy smirked at her, " You can't run anymore," He glared at her, attempting to punch Ivy in the face. Ivy, always thinking faster than her opponents, quickly shut him in the stomach. The guy fell to the ground and Ivy knew then the Park police had been alerted.

Though it wouldn't be any problem if the police caught her, she would rather avoid any police intervention. She had to get out of there as soon as possible.

She ran towards the main road and stopped the car that was coming towards her.

" Get out of the car," Ivy commanded fiercely, pointing a gun at the young man sitting in the car.

"You look cute, pretty." The strange boy retorted, fluttering at her. " Have you ever shot a water ball?" he asked sardonically.

" Just did, 2 minutes ago." She informed him, with a smirk. " Wanna be the next?" She turned around swiftly and shot one of the men running after her.

The young guy quickly got out in fear. The next thing Ivy was behind the wheel." I don't smoke," she threw the pack of cigarettes at the confused and terrified young guy and zoomed off.

" The park ain't safe, I better get lost." The guy said running away as well.

" This is the police, can you show me where you have been shot?" the officer asked, pointing a gun at the guy Ivy shot.

" Here," He kicked the Police Officer and shot him in the leg. The wounded guy got up and took off while holding the arm Ivy shot.

Ivy pulled up at her father's estate. She got out of the car, after a long and fierce driving.

She tapped her fingers and two of her father's men moved towards her. " Discard this car; burn it, dump it in a river or something. Just make sure it doesn't exist after today." She threw the car keys at them and walked towards the door.

" Master, " She greeted as she walked into her father's office. She found Shadow sitting on the sofa, with a brown envelope in his hands. Her Father was facing the window with his pipe in hand.

He puffed a cloud of smoke before turning around. He glared at her with bloodshot eyes, Ivy knew she made numerous mistakes in the last mission.

" Shadow, " Don Carlos called out, walking to his seat.

" Yes, Master" he responded standing up.

" Go and clear off every bit of traces she left behind. Forget about the mission for tonight, I'll have Dante do it. " He instructed indifferently.

" Got it, Master" Shadow dropped the brown file on his table and headed for the door. He knew Ivy was trouble and would pay dearly for it. He stopped in his tracks when he got close to her, looking at her with pity.

" Shadow, " Don Carlos called, without looking up. Shadow turned around to face him. " Kill the girl, " he instructed.

" Got it, Master," he answered, bowing his head in respect. " What about the guy she got the car from? "

" Let him be. He's no threat, but keep a close watch on him for some months."

Ivy couldn't say anything at the moment. She's the reason things are going this way. One thing she hated was someone cleaning up her mess.

Shadow walked out after getting his instructions leaving Ivy alone with Don Carlos.

" Your mission was to kill and get the hell out of there, not including drama. You are not a villain in a movie, you are the bearer of death. " He glared out angrily.

Little mistakes like this were the things he taught her to avoid. Do your job and get out of the scene, don't think about others. Eliminate anyone who stands in your way and never normalize who you kill.

" I'm sorry Master" Ivy apologized with regret in her voice. " I got carried away by the sanguinary surge," she explained further with her head down. Though she knew she was getting punished no matter what explanation she gave.

" Two weeks in the dungeon." Don Carlos declared coldly. " You don't have room to feel in your heart. The only thing that should bring you joy is this job,"

" Understood, Master." Though Ivy isn't scared of being locked up in a dark dungeon alone for weeks, she hates the punishment. While there, the thought of her mother asking for forgiveness clouded her mind.

She got locked up in there when she was eleven, after failing to complete a task given by her father. She had to leave the office when her Father stopped her.

" Remember you are the last generation of assassins and you have to leave a legacy bigger than our ancestors," he warned calmly.

" It's always been the core of my existence," She responded without turning around.

Don Carlos puffed on his pipe before speaking. Taking his time, "The silly kiss thing you did at the park, should never be the last escape route you take ever again, "

Ivy knew this was coming but didn't expect that he'd get upset. Kissing a total stranger doesn't mean a thing, he will forget that night and so will she. " Stand and face your fight alone. You should never need help from others, it's like shooting yourself in the leg. " Don Carlos cautioned calmly.

Ivy stood affixed in her position thinking. " Lesson learned, " she declared walking out.

She moved straight to the basement where the dungeon was built. She had already adapted to this kind of punishment, so nothing could scare her.

******

It's been 4 days since Ivy had been locked up in the dark dungeon. Her throat felt dry and she couldn't do anything, she was used to such punishments.

The door was pushed open and she looked up. " Hope you are enjoying your own mistakes, " Don Carlos asked with a smile.

" Greetings, Master. " She responded standing on her feet.

" Bring in the ice, " Don Carlos ordered, changing his countenance. Two guys walked in with bags of ice.

Ivy smiled, she knew what this was meant for and it was amazing how she already understood the lesson before it was taught.

Don Carlos chuckled when he saw the smirk on her face. " Great, you understand the lesson. " He sat down on the chair available.
