Uchiha Ascendant: Rewriting the Ninja World

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Perfect Version · Chimera Technique

Inside the cave, bloodshot eyes stared unblinkingly at the entrance.

Whoosh, whoosh!

Countless kunai streaked through the air, embedding themselves into the hard stone walls of the cave.

The creature within the cave snarled in confusion when it realized neither a man nor a woman had entered. Instead, it saw a barrage of kunai—each tied with sizzling explosive tags.

"Raaah! None of them? Hahaha! Then I'll just charge out and kill them all!"

Boom!

A massive explosion echoed from the cave, merging with the rumble of thunder in the storm above.

"He's out!"

Mikoto's sharp voice rang out as the figure burst from the cave.

Seeing the creature emerge, Uchiha Yo's expression hardened, though he looked unsurprised.

As expected, Mikoto's intelligence and his own deductions aligned perfectly.

"Hahaha!"

The figure laughed maniacally, his body covered in dark, spreading markings that twisted and transformed him into a monstrous shape.

These weren't tattoos—they were a cursed seal.

"Jugo! The Cursed Seal! A natural Sage Body!"

Uchiha Yo's voice betrayed a hint of excitement. Beside him, Mikoto gasped.

"Yo, you know him?"

But Yo quickly snapped, "I've heard of similar phenomena. Don't give him time to evolve—end it quickly!"

Without hesitation, the two leapt onto separate trees, coordinating their positions.

The creature below roared, its bloodlust overwhelming as it locked onto Mikoto.

"Blood! I need your blood!"

It charged at her with frightening speed, its crazed laughter echoing through the rain-soaked forest.

Yo, already prepared, performed a series of hand seals on a nearby branch.

"Kill!"

Crack!

A metallic twang resounded as steel wires tightened, and the rampaging creature stumbled into a pre-laid trap. The razor-sharp wires wrapped around its limbs and torso, cutting deep into its flesh.

But empowered by the cursed seal, the creature howled and tore through the wires with brute strength.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

Chakra surged to Yo's throat as he exhaled a massive fireball directly at the creature's exposed back.

"Yo!"

Mikoto quickly followed suit, her hands weaving seals as she unleashed an even larger fireball from her mouth.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

The two massive fireballs converged, crashing into the creature at point-blank range, leaving it no room to evade.

Yet instead of retreating, the creature roared defiantly, slamming its fists into the flames with raw force.

Boom!

The fireballs exploded in the storm, their light momentarily illuminating the forest. Thunder cracked overhead, masking the sound of the battle.

Explosions from the fireballs, steel wire traps, and detonating tags reduced the area to rubble. Amidst the chaos, the monster roared, its form growing increasingly monstrous.

"Damn it! This thing just keeps evolving!"

Mikoto panted heavily, standing on a tree branch and glaring at the transformed beast. Yo, equally winded, furrowed his brow in thought.

In the original timeline, Orochimaru only discovered Jugo later, leading to the development of the cursed seal.

But this wasn't a bloodline limit—it was a special Sage Body that absorbed natural energy uncontrollably, driving the host into madness.

Unstable emotions. Berserk tendencies.

Yo's eyes narrowed as a plan formed in his mind.

"Mikoto! Use genjutsu! His unstable emotions and inability to control this power make him vulnerable. Target his fear!"

Mikoto, trusting Yo without hesitation, activated her Sharingan, the two tomoe spinning rapidly.

"Genjutsu: Hell Viewing Technique!"

As their eyes met, the creature froze, its pupils dilating as its worst fears materialized in its mind.

"No! I didn't kill them! Don't drive me away… Don't…"

The monster's frenzied cries filled the air as it recoiled in terror. Its memories surfaced—visions of the villagers it had killed and the rejection it had faced.

Yo seized the opportunity.

"Now!"

He hurled kunai laced with explosive tags, aiming for the creature's open mouth and throat.

Boom, boom, boom!

The explosions engulfed the beast, its pained roars silenced by the smoke and fire.

Mikoto collapsed to one knee, groaning in pain as blood trickled from her eyes. The intense mental strain of her genjutsu, combined with the natural energy radiating from the creature, had pushed her Sharingan to its limits.

Yo didn't hesitate. Drawing his blade, he darted into the smoke.

"I… didn't… kill… them…"

The creature's raspy voice came from within the haze, weak but defiant.

Shink!

Blood sprayed as Yo's blade pierced its throat. The monster's body, already mangled from the explosions, shuddered before falling limp.

"Forbidden Technique: Chimera Technique (Perfect Version)."

Within the smoke, Yo pressed his palm—marked with a triangular seal—against the creature's forehead.

The seal began to glow, emitting a powerful suction force.

The creature's monstrous form started to wither, its cursed seal patterns receding. What remained was a frail, elderly man with white hair and lifeless eyes.

"Yo!"

Mikoto's voice called out as she stumbled through the dissipating smoke, her Sharingan still active despite the strain.

She froze, staring at the pitiful figure pinned to the ground by Yo's blade. Blood pooled around the man as rain washed it away.

"I… didn't… kill… them…"

The old man's voice faded into silence, his eyes dimming.

Yo, panting heavily, wiped the sweat from his brow as he looked down at the body. His thoughts raced.

This man had no chakra. If this were the real Jugo, he'd have upper-Jonin level strength. Even at this man's age, the cursed seal made him a terrifying opponent.

"This information was off," Yo muttered, forcing a wry smile. "If we hadn't brought so many explosive tags, we might not have made it out."

Mikoto's Sharingan stared intently at the lifeless body, her expression unreadable.

Yo sighed, his triangular palm seal fading as faint cursed seal patterns briefly flickered across his own skin before disappearing.

The Chimera Technique, even in its perfected form, required immense resources. It allowed him to devour and integrate bloodlines or special abilities, but the process demanded stability agents and significant time for adaptation.

Despite its "perfect" designation, the technique felt like a cruel bait-and-switch.

It's all a scam…

Yo had initially planned to use it on fellow clan members, as shared bloodlines reduced rejection rates.

But this Sage Body was a once-in-a

-lifetime find. It also confirmed one of his theories—something he could use in his plans involving Tsunade.

With renewed determination, Yo's gaze hardened.
