Unfelt Words, Unfelt Love

Chapter 16: The Unexpected Encounter

After their hard-fought victory in the semi-final match, Nat was overjoyed. Her team had won, securing their place in the final. The excitement among her teammates was palpable as they celebrated the win, but Nat couldn't help but feel a mix of pride and nervousness. While everyone else was caught up in the thrill of victory, she needed a moment to herself to process it all.

She began packing up her things, ready to head home. As she walked towards the exit, her eyes caught a person practicing on the side of the field. Nat paused for a moment, observing the figure in the distance. She didn't recognize the person, but something about the way they moved—so focused and determined—caught her attention.

Without thinking much about it, Nat continued walking towards the bus. But as she sat down on the bus, her thoughts drifted back to that person. She couldn't understand why, but for the first time in a long while, her heart was beating faster. Why am I thinking about them? she wondered. I don't even know who that person is.

The more she tried to push the thoughts away, the more they lingered. Even as the bus started moving, the image of that person practicing kept popping up in her mind. Nat couldn't shake the feeling, and she was left feeling confused. Why am I thinking about them? she thought again, feeling a strange mix of curiosity and unease.

For the first time in a long while, Nat felt as if something inside her had shifted. But she wasn't sure what it was or why it was happening. All she knew was that her thoughts were consumed by someone she didn't even know, and it left her with more questions than answers.
