The night air was cool, a soft breeze rustling the trees outside the dimly lit house. Inside, the group had settled in—though not without uneasy. The children, still grappling with the fear and trauma of their recent ordeal, struggled to adjust to the unfamiliar environment.

Meanwhile, Aki, having done what he could for the night, headed to the bathroom to refresh himself.

----------------------------------

Outside, hidden beneath the shadows of a tree, A girl in the black kimono stood silently, her sharp eyes fixed on the house. A faint glow from the dining room window illuminated the figures inside. She watched intently as Aki served food to the two children.

"The first time I've seen someone resist the temptation of the doll," murmured a man nearby. He exhaled a puff of cigar smoke, the tendrils curling into the cold night air.

A tall boy with shaggy hair covering half his face leaned against a nearby tree, his expression one of curiosity and amusement. "With all that resentment built up, they should've used it already," he said, his voice laced with intrigue.

"They will use it," the girl in the kimono stated softly but with an air of certainty.

Ren, the boy, let out a sharp exhale, almost scoffing. "Really? When?"

"Don't know when, but Someday," she replied without hesitation.

A tall, beautiful woman stepped forward, her curiosity piqued. "What about the man who saved them? Do you think he'll push them to use the doll? Harass them or are you saying that he will do something to force their hand on using the doll?"

The girl's gaze hardened, her lips pressed into a thin line. "No," she said firmly. "He's… a bit of a pervert sometimes, but he's a good man. And even if they used the doll against him, I'd fight tooth and nail, and even break the rules to protect him."

The woman raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by Enma's passion but she didn't question her further.

From her position by the window, Enma sighed softly, her eyes tracing the four figures inside. Aki, his expression stern, seemed to be scolding the children for some unknown reason.

While Arina tried to force a nervous smile, which her lingering fear betrayed her. Akira, on the other hand, remained stiff and wary, barely touching his food.

"Maybe he deserves a little punishment, but he's not a bad person," the girl muttered, her poker face unwavering. Brushing off the gazes of her companions, she added under her breath, 'Enjoy your peace while you can, brother. Because when the time comes, I won't hesitate. I'll lock you in my basement if it means keeping you by my side.'

Inside the house as the meal concluded, Selly began clearing the table, leaving Aki to stretch and yawn. He leaned back in his chair before standing. "Alright," he said, his voice calm but firm. "Akira, there's an empty room down the hall. You can sleep there tonight."

Akira glanced up, his expression guarded. "That's okay. I'll sleep in the living room," he muttered, his instincts kicking in.

Aki frowned but didn't push further. "Fine. But Arina," he turned to the younger sibling, "you're sleeping with Selly tonight. She'll take care of you."

Selly, who had been lingering by the kitchen, looked momentarily startled but quickly nodded. "Of course. Come with me, Arina."

"I… I can sleep alone," Arina mumbled, fidgeting nervously.

"No, you can't," Aki said firmly, crouching slightly to meet her gaze. "Aren't you afraid of nightmares? After what happened, it's only natural. Go to sleep hugging Selly belly tonight. We'll talk about your parents and everything else tomorrow."

At the mention of their parents, both children visibly flinched. Arina's gaze dropped to the floor, while Akira's jaw tightened. They didn't respond but reluctantly nodded.

"Good. Get some rest," Aki said, ruffling Arina's hair gently before turning away.

As Selly led Arina upstairs, Aki retreated to his study. He pulled out a small notebook, flipping it open to jot down reminders for the next day.

The following morning, a strange sensation coursed through Mitsuha as she opened her eyes. Except… these weren't her eyes.

She blinked, glancing down at unfamiliar hands—strong, calloused, and distinctly masculine. Her gaze shot to the mirror across the room, where Aki's face stared back at her.

Her heart raced as the realization hit her:the familiar feeling of something dangling between the legs- she was sure she is in Aki's body again.

Quickly, Mitsuha scanned the room, her eyes falling on a notebook on the desk. Unable to resist, she opened it, her fingers trembling slightly as she flipped through the pages.

**"To Mitsuha:

If you're reading this, it means we've switched.

Here's something happened yesterday: two siblings from my neighborhood are now living with us. I heard screams from their house and intervened—just in time to stop that little girl from being molested.

If we've switched, please help them.

Find out about their history, their parents, everything. I'll handle the rest tomorrow."**

As she read further, the story darkened.

Tears welled up in Mitsuha's eyes. 'How could anyone be so cruel to children?' she thought, her hands trembling. She wiped her tears away, determination hardening her expression.

"I'll follow your instructions, Aki," she whispered, clenching her fists. "I'll protect them, just like you would."

That day a major misunderstanding got form.

Downstairs, Selly was preparing breakfast when "Aki" appeared in the kitchen. Except, it wasn't Aki—it was Mitsuha in his body.

"Good morning, Young Master," Selly greeted, startled by the unusually soft and hesitant look in his eyes.

"Good morning, Selly," Mitsuha replied, doing her best to mimic Aki's usual demeanor. Though she had been in Aki's body three or four times before, her interactions with Selly during those switches had been brief—barely an hour out of the combined 96 hours.

Moments later, the children entered the kitchen. Arina clung tightly to her brother's arm, her small frame radiating unease. Akira, meanwhile, kept his expression guarded, his sharp eyes scanning the room warily.

"Good morning," Mitsuha said, forcing a small smile. "How did you two sleep?"

Arina nodded shyly, while Akira muttered, "Fine."

"Let's have breakfast first, then we'll talk," Mitsuha said softly, reaching out to gently ruffle their hair.

At that moment the room fell silent. Only the sound of birds chirping outside or the blowing wind were the only one making noise.

"What's with this act?" Akira suddenly exclaimed, his voice sharp. "Is this your true nature? I knew it! You're one of those people who hides their rotten core behind a handsome and innocent face!" His hand moved to his pocket, fingers brushing against the string of the doll he had been hiding.

Mitsuha froze, sweat forming on her brow. As she had no idea how to respond to such a strong reaction.

"Ahem, well, let's eat first," Mitsuha said, skillfully dodging the question. "Afterward, I'll need to ask you some questions."

Meanwhile,Selly thought. 'Is he not feeling well?'As she observed Aki. 'No, he's not the type to change his nature just because he's sick…'

Selly stood silently nearby, observing the exchange with her usual stoic expression. But beneath her composed exterior, her thoughts churned. 'He's trying so hard… I've never seen him like this before. But… no, this isn't him. This isn't Aki.' Her sharp eyes studied him, trying to decipher what had brought about this sudden change.

She served glasses of milk alongside toast and eggs, but her mind remained preoccupied. 'Is he really changing? How could someone like him suddenly start reflecting? Did he feel guilty after witnessing something from a third-person perspective—something he might have done himself in the past?'

Lost in thought, Selly accidentally bit her lip while taking a bite of bread, a small drop of blood staining her mouth.

"Be careful, Selly," Mitsuha said, handing her a tissue.

"Ah, thank you," Selly replied, accepting the tissue and wiping the blood away. 'I can't stay ignorant anymore, can-i? He's changing—Selly's lips pressed into a thin line. Her mind was a whirlwind. 'If this is real… if he's really changing…'

Her hands clenched at her sides. 'Do I forgive him? Can I forgive him?I should have noticed sooner. All this time I've hated him and ignored the signs. But... isn't him changing for the better? But can I even forgive him if one day he suddenly apologized ?'

The answer formed clearly in her mind: 'No. I will hold onto my grudges until I'm truly satisfied—satisfyingly accept that I hate him as much as I… love him.'

After breakfast, Mitsuha—following Aki's notes—began asking the siblings about their parents and living situation.

"So, your parents haven't come home for over a week?"

"Yes," the two siblings replied softly.

"And when your sister was out yesterday, your… cosi—" Mitsuha paused, catching the children's discomfort. The way Akira stiffened, his fists clenched, and how Arina trembled slightly as her grip on her brother's sleeve tightened, was enough to stop her in her tracks.

Mitsuha softened her tone, trying to steady herself. "That bastard tried to… harm you, didn't he?"

The words hung in the air like a storm cloud. Arina's eyes welled up, her lips trembling as she looked away.

"Yes," Akira finally said, his voice low, as if the admission itself was a weight he struggled to bear. "But even if we told our sister… she wouldn't care much." His voice cracked slightly, betraying the stoicism he was desperately trying to maintain.

Mitsuha's heart twisted painfully at their words. She clenched her fists, trying to suppress the anger bubbling within her.

"Don't worry about that. I'll take care of everything," Mitsuha said, echoing what Aki had written in the diary about handling the situation himself the next day.

But, in typical Mitsuha fashion, she couldn't resist adding her own flair. With a mischievous glint in her eye, she declared, "Leave the rest to me. As for you two, you can stay here with us for as long as you want. Even if you decide to leave, not even the Prime Minister himself could interfere."

She smirked inwardly, knowing she was exaggerating wildly—partly as a joke, and partly as a little prank to leave for Aki when he inevitably had to deal with the aftermath.

Hearing those words, Arina's eyes lit up with a glimmer of hope, her previously dull and fearful expression softening for the first time. It was as though a small spark had been reignited within her, easing some of the weight she carried.

Akira, on the other hand, scoffed loudly, his face contorting into an expression of disbelief. The exaggerated promise left him cringing internally. "As if anyone would believe such bullshit ," he muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes.

Selly, however, remained impassive, with her usual face . But inwardly, her mind was racing. Because She knew better—
