Chapter 1: 1: Mangled
Two guys wandered the streets. They were young, 15, maybe 16. The taller one of them whistled to a group of girls, but they brushed him off. "Man, I'm telling you, no girl thinks how sexy a man who objectifies me." The shorter guy said with a laugh whilst he started to get annoyed.
"Shut up, man. I need a girl by the end of the year." The taller one said before the sun just set at 7 pm, the sky turned from dark blue to pitch back. "Man, the boss is going to keep bullying me."
"Then talk to a girl." They decided to walk into a store. It was brightly lit, with a chilled section for drinks, cokes, Pepsi, Fanta, sprite, and 7up, all in the chilled section alongside energy and sports drinks.
The two gang members walked out with their drinks of choice as they walked into a dimly lit park named Flower Gardens. They walked through the dimly lit park, which had two astroturf pitches and a basketball, which was the only thing illuminated.
They laughed, joked, and disrupted everyone if there was anyone nearby. "Man, I'm telling you, it was an easy job, she took it out right her hand and sold it for 200."
The other guy laughed as a guy stood in their way, then another one, and more and more until there were at least 20, "You made a mistake coming to my parts." A girl said with anger. The guys, seeing they were outnumbered, turned to run back and saw another 10 with them all closing in.
"So Homeostasis is the idea that the body needs to balance itself. The key factors you need to know..." A girl, a tall, toned girl, zoned out, her short black hair falling over her eyes. It was clear she didn't care about her biology class. She was already passing with flying colours, with her GCSEs in May and June, and it being January, she felt relaxed.
The lunch bell rang soon after, and she got up to leave the class, where she decided to walk through the park, and when he walked, her eyes wandered. She didn't have any friends. They just saw her as a slightly alright-looking nerd with some muscle.
She looked at the lake then at the bushes, where she'd see something, no someone looking right at her. She'd get closer, and it stunk. Did the local homeless man decide to sleep in the bushes? Anyway, the eyes looked lifeless, as if the person looking at her had recently died, and when she pulled back the bushes, she saw a body, 2 in fact, of the two mangled gang members from the night before.
