Unseen Limits

Chapter 2: chapter 2

Her words left me uneasy, but I pushed the discomfort aside for the time being.

After taking a deep breath, I made my way to the sect's library.

The library stood as an ancient, vast structure, enduring the passage of time. It exuded a strangely mesmerizing and peaceful aura, as if infused with the wisdom of countless generations.

Upon entering, I noticed that I was alone, save for an elder sitting at the counter. His presence was imposing yet calm, like a mountain that could not be moved. I approached him and requested books on the basics of cultivation and the history of the realm. He gave me a discerning look before pulling two books from separate shelves and handing them to me. Then, in a low voice, he asked, "Disciple badge?"

I retrieved the disciple badge my master had given me and showed it to him.

Upon seeing the personal disciple badge, his expression softened in surprise. He nodded in acknowledgment and sent me away without further comment.

After exiting the library, I made my way directly to my cave abode.

Once inside, I sat on a chair, took out the two books, and began to read. It was essential that I understood the world I had entered.

After finishing both books, I had a clearer understanding of the world I found myself in.

This world is known as the Eternal Sky Realm, a place where cultivators and mortals coexist.

The realm is governed by four major sects and three powerful beast clans:

Top Sects:

Eternal Star Sect

Mystic Dawn Sect

Rising Sun Sect

Frozen Moon Sect

Beast Clans:

Skyfire Phoenix Tribe

Celestial Wolf Clan

Azure Roc Tribe

Cultivation Levels:

1.Body Strengthening

2.Essence Gathering

3.Energy Transformation

4.Core Formation

5.Rebirth Soul

6.Divine Body

Each of these levels is divided into three stages: Low, Middle, and Perfect.

I am currently in the Mystic Dawn Sect, one of the Top Four Sects.

The Sect Master of the Mystic Dawn Sect is a woman named Jing Xuan, renowned for her extraordinary powers. She is also a Creator, one of the rarest and most revered individuals in this world. It is said she has reached the Immortal Level of cultivation.

Cultivation arts in this world are divided into four categories:

Weapon Refining

Pill Refining

Formation Masters

Creators (the rarest and most respected)

Creators are revered in the top sects and beast clans. They have the unparalleled ability to create cultivation techniques and are second only to the Sect Master in terms of respect and prestige.

The Mystic Dawn Sect has five Peaks: The first four peaks are each presided over by a Peak Master, along with their respective elders and disciples. The fifth and final peak is solely occupied by the Sect Master.

After absorbing all the information from the books, I glanced outside. The sky had begun to shift from its vibrant azure hues to a warm cascade of golds, pinks, and deep crimson. The sun, once a fiery orb of blazing power, now gently sank toward the horizon, casting its last rays across the vast landscape. The light rippled through the clouds, turning them into ethereal brushstrokes of burnished gold, as if the heavens themselves were being painted by a divine hand.

The air thickened with the heavy scent of dusk—earthy herbs, the faint fragrance of wild blossoms, and the distant promise of cool night. The wind, once warm and vibrant, now carried a touch of coolness, like the breath of ancient spirits sighing through the mountains and forests. It felt as though the entire world was taking a deep breath, preparing for the quiet stillness that night would bring.

Mesmerized by the beauty of it all, I allowed my tension to slip away. Walking into the courtyard, I sat on a chair and closed my eyes, soaking in the rare tranquility. Lost in my thoughts, I drifted into a peaceful slumber, the serene expression on my face reflecting the calm within my soul.

YAWNNNN

I woke from my peaceful sleep, stretched, and headed to the bath to prepare for my upcoming meeting with my master.

After taking one last look at my abode and drawing a deep breath to calm my racing heart, I set off toward the peak to meet her. As I walked toward the peak, I noticed the area was desolate of people, save for the trees and a few animals. From what I knew, all peaks were inhabited by their respective Peak Masters and their disciples, except for the Sect Master's peak.

As soon as I thought of this, a sudden realization struck me: My master is the Sect Master of one of the Top Four Sects in the world... My heart swelled with excitement—so that's the reason for the surprised expression of the elder at the library after seeing the disciple badge.

I snapped out of my stupor and saw the entrance to her abode. Standing there, I took another deep breath to calm my ecstatic heart.

What if she wants me to be more than just a peaceful person? What if she wants me to fight, to rise in power, to challenge the world and shape it according to my will? Will I have to abandon my dream of a simple life? Will I become just another pawn in the game of cultivators who seek nothing but power? But then again, what choice do I have? To refuse her is to refuse my place in this world. If that is what she wants, I will comply for it until I have the power to resist.

Then, the voice that would decide my fate reached my ears.

"Come in."

Hearing the voice that would decide my fate, I stepped into the abode. The first thing I noticed was the ethereal figure of my master, Jing Xuan. She sat gracefully in the lotus position on a cushion of delicate lotus petals, her aura both serene and commanding. Her robes, woven from the finest silks, were a cascade of soft jade greens, whites, and pale blues that rippled and flowed like water with every subtle breeze that passed through the room. The intricate patterns of celestial symbols and blooming lotuses embroidered on her attire shimmered in the dim moonlight, a testament to her extraordinary cultivation and status.

The colors of her robes seemed to dance with a life of their own, blending harmoniously with the gentle glow of the moon and the soft whispers of the night air. The delicate threads of silver and gold that adorned her robes caught the light in a way that made it seem as though she was cloaked in the very essence of the heavens themselves.

Minimalistic jade jewelry adorned her delicate frame, its simplicity only adding to her elegance. Her hair, long and dark as the night sky, was styled with ethereal pins—each one fashioned from the finest materials, giving her an almost divine appearance. The pins, sparkling softly like distant stars, seemed to be an extension of the cosmic energy that enveloped her being. She radiated an aura that transcended the mortal realm, a true embodiment of grace, power, and wisdom.

Her features were flawless, with a gentle, almost otherworldly beauty. Her face, serene and untroubled, seemed to glow with an inner light, as if the very core of her being had merged with the spiritual energies of the realm. Her eyes, though closed in meditation, held an air of infinite depth, as if they could see the very fabric of the universe itself. Even the faintest movement of her lips, or the subtle twitch of her hand, exuded a quiet majesty that left me in awe.

In that moment, I stood frozen, mesmerized by the sight before me. It was as though I had witnessed something beyond mortal comprehension—something that only the most devout cultivators might glimpse in their lifetimes. Her presence was so pure, so transcendent, that it was impossible to fathom.

Cough.

The sound of my master clearing her throat broke me from my stupor. I snapped out of my reverie, suddenly aware of how long I had been staring. My heart raced with a mix of awe and embarrassment, but I quickly steadied myself and lowered my gaze in respect.

"Come forward," her voice rang out, clear and commanding.

I stepped cautiously toward her, my heart pounding in my chest. But as I moved closer, I noticed something that made my breath catch in my throat. The air around her shimmered, distorting as though reality itself was bending in her presence. It was as if her very being was connected to the essence of the world, her cultivation levels beyond anything I had ever imagined.

Her eyes slowly opened, their depth seeming to pull at the very fabric of my soul. The air around her vibrated with an ancient energy, as though the universe itself paused in anticipation. My heart thundered in my chest. For a moment, all I could do was stand there, frozen by the overwhelming power in her gaze.

"Do you know why I called you here?" she asked, her voice a soft but commanding echo in the stillness of the room. The weight of her words settled over me like a mountain, and I could feel the very ground beneath me tremble.
