Until You Are Mine

Chapter 2: Chapter 1

Chinny's POV

"What's with the junk food intake, Chinny?" Farley, my lunatic cousin, asked me.

"I'm bored, Far," I replied, popping a Cheeto into my mouth. "Who are you even introducing me to? Your boyfriend?" I teased her.

"You know, I'm happy being single because I'm proud to be irresistible," she said, snatching the bag of Cheetos from me.

"Give it back!" I yelled.

"No," she replied firmly.

I was about to pinch Farley's cheek when a guy approached us. He had a stubborn, strong jaw, a straight nose, and kissable lips. He looked like someone who exuded arrogance.

I rolled my eyes. Is this one of Farley's guys?

"Excuse me, I'm looking for Farley Velasquez. Where is she?" he asked.

I sighed. Is this another one of Farley's victims?

I glanced at Farley, who was slouching and looked like she was about to doze off.

"She's with me," I answered. "Wait, let me wake her up." I turned my attention back to Farley.

"Far?" I nudged her.

"Hmmm..." she groaned. I almost facepalmed. "Far, someone's looking for you."

"Huh?" Slowly, she straightened her posture.

"Oh? Wait." Farley stood up and smiled so sweetly it could attract ants. "Angelo, meet my cousin Chinny, who is short for Shieneva. Chinny, meet Angelo." The guy named Angelo smiled.

"Nice meeting you," he said.

"It's my pleasure to meet you, Shieneva."

There was something about his baritone voice that rubbed me the wrong way. Something about him screamed that he had bad intentions.

"Anyway, I'll leave you two for now. Angelo, please play nice." Farley glanced at me. "Be a good girl. I'll be back." She gestured to her wrist, indicating she'd return soon.

"Bye," she said as she walked away.

As soon as Farley left, I couldn't help but feel uneasy under Angelo's gaze.

"So, are you one of my cousin's victims?"

Crap, this is beyond awkward.

"Huh?" He clicked his tongue. "Nope. I treat Far like a sister."

"How did you two meet?"

He looked at me as if I were some inanimate object.

"Acquaintance," he answered simply.

"Do you two have something going on?" Why do I sound like I'm interrogating him?

"None. Why are you so interested in Far's relationship with me?" He smirked. "It's not her I crave attention from. I think we'll see each other often, and I like that idea."

I was slightly consumed by irritation.

"But I don't like that idea, Angelo Pimenova." Of course, I knew who he was. Only an idiot wouldn't.

"So, you do know me. Why do I feel like you're pretending you didn't recognize me?" he asked grimly.

The nerve!

"And who do you think you are that I should recognize you? Are you the famous Kim Taehyung of BTS?" I asked sarcastically.

Sorry, dear cousin Farley, but I'm not playing the good girl this time.

"No," he sighed in defeat. "Don't get too comfortable, Shieneva. I already have a plan in mind. Laters, piggy." He left with his hands in his pockets.

The nerve of that man! He insulted me in every possible way. What does he mean he has a plan, and I shouldn't get comfortable? Hmph! He can kiss my ass.
