After a loud scream, four figures darted out from behind the shrubs, one of them with a long shadow hanging from his arm, which was still swaying to and fro.

Lin Xi was startled and quickly moved closer to Wang Yu, hiding behind him and tightly grabbing onto his arm, then she realized who Wang Yu had been speaking to.

The four stood not far from Wang Yu, one of them casually pulling the shadow off and fiercely throwing it to the ground. As the dark figure hit the ground, it quickly slithered away in an "S" shape into the roadside shrubbery.

Watching this, Wang Yu burst out laughing, marveling at how effective his words were. He joked about snakes and they actually got bitten—tomorrow he might as well utter a random series of numbers to see if he could hit the lottery.

"Big... Big bro, just out for a walk?" Earring said to Wang Yu with a flattering smile on his face, stammering a bit and a little incoherent.

Earring's lips were still swollen like sausages from Wang Yu's punch that morning and hadn't gone down yet.

Wang Yu paused, recognizing the familiar voice. He looked carefully at the speaker and couldn't help but smack his lips. It was the group of hooligans who had tried to scam Chen Cheng that morning.

"Yo! What a coincidence! What, planning on robbing homes again? It seems like you didn't take my words to heart."

After speaking, Wang Yu shook his head, thinking to himself that it was true what they said about old habits dying hard. But they were really unlucky to keep running into him.

Lin Xi's face flushed red at the compliment and she glared at Earring, saying, "Don't talk nonsense, I'm not his girlfriend."

Earring was taken aback and glanced between Wang Yu and Lin Meng, then, scratching his head in confusion, he felt a bit muddled. If they weren't boyfriend and girlfriend, why were they hugging and kissing on the ground just now? And why were they acting so close? Could she be this big brother's lover?

Wang Yu shook his head with a smile, thinking that Earring was quite slick with words and knew how to flatter. But this skill was doomed to be ineffective in front of him. If I really wanted to teach you a lesson, no amount of smooth talking would matter.

Wang Yu stretched out his hand without saying much, but Earring understood he wanted to save his brother. He immediately took out a lighter and a dagger and handed them to Wang Yu, then watched nervously.

Lin Xi came over and stood beside Wang Yu, watching in silence, amazed that Wang Yu could treat a snakebite.

With a 'tss' sound, Wang Yu cut off his sleeve with the dagger, turned it into strips of cloth, tied them tightly around the poisoned man's bitten arm, then heated the dagger with the lighter to sterilize it. Afterwards, he gently cut the skin around the fang marks and squeezed firmly for a few minutes before leaning down to suck out the poison blood mouthful by mouthful.

Earring and his two remaining brothers quietly stood aside, watching Wang Yu save their comrade. Their hearts were touched in an instant, their noses tingled, their eyes welled up with tears, yet they felt a warmth inside.

"Lin Xi, turn around," Wang Yu suddenly said loudly after sucking out the poison.

Lin Meng slowly turned around upon hearing the command but only halfway, her eyes still secretly watching Wang Yu, curious about what he was going to do next.

Wang Yu stood up, unzipped his pants, and started urinating onto the wound on the poisoned man's arm.

This act shocked Earring and his two companions, who stared at Wang Yu with wide eyes, puzzled. Lin Xi's face instantly blushed to the skies, not at all expecting Wang Yu to do such a thing.

Fortunately, no one noticed Lin Xi peeking. Otherwise, she would be too embarrassed to face anyone in the future.

"Don't be surprised; this is one way to detoxify. I've managed to get most of the venom out, but you still need to take him to the hospital for an antivenom shot. And the sooner, the better. Otherwise, his life can't be saved," Wang Yu said as he tucked himself back in and addressed Earring.

After hearing Wang Yu's explanation, Earring came to his senses and, showering Wang Yu with thanks, he and the other two lifted the poisoned man to leave quickly, but then he remembered they had no money and turned a pleading look to Wang Yu.

Wang Yu paused, then smiled faintly and took out some banknotes from his pocket, placing them in Earring's hand before leaving with Lin Xi.

Earring bit his lip as he watched Wang Yu's departing figure, stuffed the money into a comrade's hand, and said, "You two take him to the hospital quickly. I'm going to see where they live." With that, he hurried after Wang Yu.

Wang Yu and Lin Xi walked side by side for a while. After his ears twitched a few times, a smile played on his lips. He said to Lin Xi, "We've walked for quite some time; how about we take a car back? What do you think?"
