Chapter 23: Chapter 23 : Parents Worries!!
☞: Contrasting Nights
As the old mansion fell into an uneasy silence, its occupants drifted into varying states of rest, their minds heavy with the weight of the day. On the other side of the city, life was anything but quiet.
---
☞ : Max's Night Out
Max William leaned back in his chair, the hum of lively chatter and the clink of glasses filling the air around him. The bar was dimly lit, casting a golden glow over the polished wood and shimmering liquor bottles lined up behind the bartender.
He swirled his drink—a neat whiskey—and took a long sip, a smirk playing on his lips. His business had gone smoothly that day, and now he was savoring the freedom of a rare, carefree night.
A colleague nudged him from across the table. "Max, you've been smiling for the past hour. What's got you in such a good mood?"
Max chuckled, resting his glass on the table. "It's not every day you send a bunch of kids off to an old mansion and get some peace and quiet."
The table erupted in laughter.
"Are you sure they'll be okay out there?" another friend asked.
Max waved the concern off dismissively.
"They're fine. Leo's with them, and besides, it'll build character. A little over work never hurt anyone."
His phone buzzed on the table. Glancing at the screen,
┖ he saw a text from Leo: All the young masters and Sarah are settled in for the night. ┒
Max smiled to himself, sliding the phone back into his pocket. "See? Everything's under control."
He raised his glass to the group.
"To a peaceful night."
They clinked glasses, laughter and the hum of conversation carrying on late into the night.

☞ :Alia's Quiet Evening
Back at the grand William estate, Alia sat alone in the vast living room, the mansion's opulent decor feeling strangely hollow. She held a cup of tea in her hands, the steam curling into the air as she gazed out of the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Though the estate was bustling with servants attending to their duties, the absence of her family left a void. The silence felt heavier than usual.
A maid approached, bowing politely.
"Madam, is there anything else you need?"
Alia shook her head with a faint smile.
"No, thank you. That will be all for tonight."
The maid nodded and retreated, leaving Alia to her solitude.
She sipped her tea, her mind wandering to the children at the old mansion. She trusted Leo to keep them safe, but the unease lingered.
Picking up her phone, she opened a text conversation with Leo.
✿ Alia: Are they all okay?
Leo: Yes, Madam. They're asleep now.
Alia: Good. Keep me updated if anything unusual happens.
Leo: Of course, Madam. ✿
Setting the phone aside, Alia leaned back on the plush sofa, closing her eyes. Despite her worries, she reminded herself that the trip was necessary—for all of them.
The estate fell into its own version of quiet, the servants retreating to their quarters as the grand clock in the hallway struck midnight.
---
☞ :A World Apart
As Max reveled in the lively energy of the bar and Alia sat in contemplative solitude, the old mansion stood as a stark contrast. Its ancient walls creaked and groaned under the weight of time, its shadows stretching ominously in the dim moonlight.
The siblings and Sarah slept fitfully, their sweet and peaceful sleep touched by the atmosphere of the place. Only Leo, ever vigilant, remained awake, keeping watch over the mansion and its inhabitants.
In three separate corners of the world, the night passed at its own pace—quiet, loud, and uncertain—binding them all in a delicate web of connection and responsibility.

✿
Morning at the Mansion
The first rays of sunlight streamed through the dusty windows of the old mansion, gently waking its inhabitants. The air was crisp, carrying a slight chill from the surrounding countryside. Inside, however, the scene was anything but peaceful.
---
☞Leo's Drowsy Vigil
Leo, slumped on the sofa in the common area, blinked groggily as the noise from the upstairs rooms grew louder. He had been half-asleep, keeping one ear open for any disturbances throughout the night. Rubbing his face, he muttered,
"And so the circus begins..."
---
☞ : Old mansion Bathroom
Upstairs, the bathroom had become a battleground. Adi and Josh were laughing and teasing each other, their antics echoing loudly through the hall. Eithan sat in his room, a pillow over his head, attempting to block out the racket.
"Can you two not sound like a stampede at seven in the morning?" Eithan muttered to himself, though he didn't bother confronting them. He was used to their nonsense by now.
---
☞ : Albert and Ruhr
In another corner of the mansion, Albert's high-pitched cries pierced the air. He had tangled his fingers into Ruhr's hair, pulling at it as if it were a toy.
"Albert, let go!" Ruhr yelled, her patience snapping. She delivered a quick slap to his hand, making him release her hair.
For a moment, Albert looked stunned, his lower lip quivering. But then his expression shifted to one of childlike fury.
"Phone! I want the phone!"
Ruhr sighed heavily, rubbing her temples.
"Fine. Here." She handed him her phone, muttering,
"You're impossible sometimes."
Albert's face lit up as he grabbed the phone, his earlier tantrum forgotten. He plopped onto the couch and began scrolling, engrossed in whatever videos he could find.
Ruhr shook her head, her irritation fading.
"All he does is just watching videos ," she muttered.
"But he's my brother, so... fine, fine."
---
☞ Sarah and Josh
Meanwhile, Sarah was outside, leaning against the mansion's decrepit railing and enjoying the crisp morning air. Her expression was calm, but her sharp eyes took in everything, as if evaluating her surroundings.
Josh appeared beside her, his usual grin plastered on his face.
"Good morning, Sarah. So... did you dream about me last night?"
Sarah smirked, her tone playful.
"Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't. What would you do if I said yes?"
Josh leaned closer, his voice dropping into a mock whisper.
"I'd make sure it happens every night. You know, I can be... very persuasive."
Sarah laughed lightly, her reply laced with subtle flirtation.
"Persuasive? I'm not so sure. You're more like an annoying puppy who doesn't know when to quit."
Their exchange grew more suggestive, Josh growing bolder with every word, his tone dripping with faux charm.
From inside, Eithan's patience finally snapped. He stormed out, slamming his hand down on Josh's head.
"Could you not sound like a creep first thing in the morning?"
Josh winced, rubbing the back of his head.
"Ow, what was that for?"
"For being you," Eithan said flatly, shaking his head in exasperation. He then turned to Leo, who was now fully awake and seated at the dining table.
"Here, Uncle" Eithan said, handing Leo a few bills.
"Go grab some snacks or something. I'm not surviving this morning without food."
Leo nodded with a small, amused smile.
"On it, young master."
---
✿
As Leo headed out to find breakfast, the mansion slowly settled into a slightly more manageable level of chaos. Eithan reclined on the sofa, pinching the bridge of his nose as he prepared himself for another long day with his eccentric siblings.
Josh sulked briefly before resuming his flirtation attempts with Sarah, who, despite her sharp tongue, seemed to enjoy teasing him back. Ruhr glanced over at Albert, now happily engrossed in her phone, and sighed.
And somewhere in the corner, Adi cautiously peeked out from behind Eithan, still shaken from the morning commotion but slowly regaining his composure.
It was just another morning for the William family—noisy, unpredictable, and strangely endearing in its chaos.
