Vampire Queen : Fated Love

Chapter 46: Chapter 46 : Marriage in one week !

In the dimly lit room, Sarah sat on the edge of her bed, her black hair cascading over her shoulders as she flipped through an old book filled with cryptic symbols.

Her sapphire-blue eyes flickered with unease as the heavy silence around her was broken by the creak of the door.

Standing at the threshold was Leo, her foster father, his towering frame casting a long shadow across the room.

Behind him were Natasha, Sarah's trusted friend, and Pluto Flux, Max William's personal secretary, whose sharp, calculating eyes scanned the room before stepping inside.

"Sarah," Leo said, his voice deep and measured.

"we need to talk."

Sarah closed the book, her gaze shifting between the three of them.

Leo said while looking direct at Pluto

"What's going on?" he asked, his voice calm but tinged with suspicion

Pluto stepped forward, his expression unreadable.

"It's about George," he said, his tone low and serious.

Sarah frowned, confusion etched across her face.

"George? What about him?"

Pluto hesitated, glancing at Leo and Natasha before speaking.

"There's... something unnatural about him," he began.

"Something I can't quite explain."

---

Leo crossed his arms, his eyes narrowing.

"Pluto, stop stalling and tell her what you found."

Pluto sighed, running a hand through his neatly combed hair.

"A few months ago," he started,

"I approached George to gather information, just for fun. But that moment I got close to him, I felt this... overwhelming pain. It was as if something was pushing me back, protecting him."

Sarah's eyes widened, and Natasha leaned forward, her curiosity piqued.

" I said , he was the one hard to deal . Even Ibram told me that "

"Protecting him?" Natasha echoed.

"What could do that?"

"I don't know," Pluto admitted.

"But there's more."

---

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, leather-bound notebook, flipping to a page filled with hastily scribbled notes.

"A few weeks ago, I noticed something strange when George screamed during one of our encounters. It wasn't a normal scream—it carried an unnatural vibration, almost like a frequency I couldn't comprehend."

Sarah's heart began to race, but she kept her expression neutral.

"And?"

Pluto's eyes met hers, his gaze intense.

"I heard something—no, felt something—coming from his chest. It was faint, but unmistakable. Like a heartbeat, but not his own. It felt... ancient, powerful, and locked away."

Leo's face darkened, his hand unconsciously clenching into a fist.

"A lock? Are you saying something—or someone—is sealed inside him?"

Pluto nodded.

"That's what it feels like. Whatever it is, it's not of this world."

Natasha shuddered, wrapping her arms around herself.

"This is getting too creepy," she muttered.

"What are we dealing with here?"

Sarah remained silent, her mind racing as she pieced together the fragments of information.

--

George had always been odd, but this revelation added an entirely new layer of mystery.

"Pluto," she said finally, her voice steady,

"do you think this has anything to do with the Lunar Wardens or the Lamas?"

Pluto hesitated before nodding.

"It's possible. The Lunar Wardens have always been tied to ancient artifacts, and the Lamas are no strangers to such things either. If George is connected to either of them, it could explain why he's being protected."

Leo stepped forward, his voice firm.

"Then we need to find out what's inside him—and why it's so important."

Sarah shook her head, her expression resolute.

"No. Not yet. We can't rush into this blindly. If we make a move now, we could put George—and ourselves—in danger."

Natasha frowned. "So what do we do?"

Sarah stood, her sapphire-blue eyes blazing with determination.

"We watch him. We gather information. And when the time is right, we act."

Pluto nodded, slipping the notebook back into his pocket.

"I'll keep an eye on him. But be careful, Sarah. Whatever this is, it's not something to take lightly."

Leo placed a reassuring hand on Sarah's shoulder.

"You've got this," he said.

"Just remember, we're here for you. Your Revenge is our Revenge. "

Sarah nodded, a small smile tugging at her lips.

"Thanks, Leo , I mean Father." with a huge smirk

As the group left the room, Sarah turned back to her book, her mind racing with possibilities.

Whatever was locked inside George's chest, it was only a matter of time before it revealed itself.

And when it did, she would be ready.

---

As Sarah sat on her bed, her mind still swirling with the revelation about George, Leo walked back into the room, his expression unreadable.

His dark eyes flickered briefly with what seemed like hesitation, but he quickly masked it, clearing his throat to get her attention.

"Sarah," he began, his voice even,

"I've just spoken to miss Alia."

Sarah looked up from the cryptic book in her hands, curiosity sparking in her blue eyes.

"What does she want now?"

Leo gave a small, almost reluctant smile.

"She said to prepare you for your marriage. It's happening in one week with Josh alongside with Tara and Rocky ."

For a moment, Sarah was silent, the weight of the news settling in.

Then, slowly, a smile began to form on her lips, growing wider until it stretched into something sharp and predatory.

She set the book aside and stood, pacing the room as her excitement built.

"So," she said, her voice dripping with satisfaction,

"I'm finally going to step into that house. Into their house."

Leo watched her carefully, noting the gleam in her eyes that bordered on dangerous.

"Yes," he confirmed.

"You'll have a week to blend in, to earn their trust. Max believes this marriage is a symbol of Equality, but we both know his real purpose is Just for show of."

Sarah laughed, a soft, almost musical sound that carried an undercurrent of malice.

"Equality? No, Leo. This isn't about poor - Rich. This is about revenge."

Leo crossed his arms, his towering frame exuding a quiet strength.

"You need to be careful, Sarah. If you rush this, you'll expose yourself. Take your time. Finish them one by one, as you've planned. Don't let your emotions cloud your judgment."

Sarah stopped pacing and turned to face him, her expression suddenly serious.

"I know, Leo. I've waited this long—I can wait a little longer. But trust me, they won't see it coming."

Leo nodded, his faith in her unwavering.

"Good. Now, we need to prepare. If you're going to walk into that house and play the perfect bride-to-be, you'll need to be flawless."

Sarah's excitement didn't waver. Instead, it grew.

This was her chance to infiltrate the family that had caused her so much pain.

To destroy them from the inside. To watch them crumble, piece by piece.

---

Later that evening, Sarah stood before a full-length mirror, examining herself.

She envisioned the scene in her mind: walking into William estate, her future in-laws greeting her warmly, unaware of the storm she was about to unleash.

Natasha entered the room, carrying a tray of tea.

"You look deep in thought," she remarked, setting the tray down.

Sarah smirked, her gaze never leaving the mirror.

"Just imagining how satisfying it'll be to see their faces when everything falls apart.when they will lose there family members"

Natasha chuckled.

"You've always been sweet, Sarah. But I can't lie—it's going to be entertaining to watch."

"Entertaining?" Sarah turned to her friend, her eyes glinting with determination.

"It's going to be legendary."

Natasha nodded, her smile fading slightly.

"Just... don't forget to be cautious. These people, especially Alia, aren't fools. They'll be watching you as much as you're watching them."

"I know," Sarah said, her tone firm.

"But I've spent years planning this. They won't suspect a thing."

---

Leo instructed the staff to gather everything Sarah would need for the upcoming week.

Dresses, jewelry, and accessories were brought in, each piece carefully chosen to create the illusion of the perfect bride-to-be.

Pluto Flux, ever the shadowy observer, appeared in the doorway as Sarah was trying on a particularly elegant gown.

"You look the part," he said, his voice laced with both sarcasm and approval.

Sarah turned to him, her lips curling into a sly smile.

"And soon, I'll play the part. But don't worry, Pluto—I won't lose sight of the real goal."

Pluto stepped into the room, his piercing gaze meeting hers.

"You'd better not. This family isn't just your enemy—they're a threat to everything we've built. If you fail—Ibram.."

"I won't fail," Sarah interrupted, her voice sharp.

"I've waited too long and sacrificed too much. This is my moment."

Pluto inclined his head, conceding the point.

"Then make sure you don't waste it. I and Leo will be there so no need to feel lonely"
