Wayfaring Stranger

Chapter 24: Something More

"That was… underwhelming. I half expected a light show or at least some smoke followed by screaming. The man pretty much just accepted his fate."

I shrugged, Riddle was dealt with. This was all that really mattered in the end. Now all that was left was Dumbledore. However, from what I've seen and heard from James and the rest he didn't seem all too bad. Still a bit manipulative but not the crazed 'for the greater good' bastard that he's usually portrayed as. Then again this world seems to be following what actually happened in the books thus far so I hoped that I didn't have to kill the old man.

'Maybe I should join them at Hogwarts. This does seem like a better world to experience magic school than the last.'

Before I could flash back to my palace the world around me freezes and I realize that I wasn't alone in the clearing anymore. Spinning around I see three shadowy figures hovering menacingly at the edge of the tree line.

"I take it you guys are the gods of this world?"

"You would be correct, Theseus Jackson."

I raised my eyebrows in shock at the one that had spoken. I hadn't been called that name in years. Not since being banished.

"So… how have I annoyed the ultimate beings this time? Did I kill someone important? Did I ruin your plans? Did I shit on your entertainment ?"

I could feel the figures' irritation from where I stood and I sneered.

"Oh, So it's all of the above then."

"Silence child!" The voice of a woman came from the figure on the left. "You have committed a grave crime."

"We shall see to your punishment. Your power comes from sources you have taken from a place not of this world."

I didn't correct them on the fact, I knew they were talking about the Infinity Stones. If they thought it was the stones that gave me power, which they sort of did, I wouldn't correct them.

"We take them from you now as payment for your transgressions!" The figure in the Middle cried out.

I felt the Stones get pulled away from me and sigh. "Oh no, you've taken my powers. What ever shall I do?"

"Learn from your mistakes!" The figure on the right spoke.

"Look clearly you don't understand sarcasm so I'll break it down for you. Even without the Stones I'm still a god and a son of arguably one of the most powerful so I can still fold the three of you creepy fucks over my knee. But, I was starting to get a bit bored so I'll let you keep the shiny rocks. With that out of the way, please leave. Before I change my mind about killing all three of you."

I flared my power at full strength for the first time in a while causing the three figures to evaporate into motes of light. Losing the Infinity Stones wasn't too big a deal for me. I was losing my touch having relied on their power too much. Going back to my inherited powers was the breath of fresh air I was looking for. Technically I didn't even have my own domains yet since the Stones act like domains. I began to wonder how gods went about gaining their domains.

Flashing back to my palace I got dressed in my Hogwarts robes before apparating to the center of the Great Hall. It went deathly quiet and I realized my mistake.

"Oops, it seems I am lost could someone point me to the nearest conven-" I felt someone grab me by the ear and drag me over to the Gryffindor table.

The hall went back to how it was and I glared at Lily who pushed me into a seat.

"Mind explaining why you thought apparating into the Great Hall was a good idea?"

"Uh- I forgot that people aren't supposed to be able to do that?"

She rolled her eyes before taking a seat next to me. "I suppose that is something you would do. Theseus this is Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley. Harry's friends, though I suspect that you already knew that."

"Of course I knew that. I'm a god. Not an idiot." She slapped my arm.

"Don't be a prat."

"Sorry Lily. I'm actually surprised that Dumbledore hasn't approached me yet. He definitely saw me popping in."

"Everyone had a talk with him this morning. We explained where we were from and what we wanted to do. Harry helped explaining you and he was rather accepting of it all."

"Really? No disappointed grandfather act?" She shook her head. "No 'I know better than you because I'm Albus-too many names- Dumbledore.'?"

Ron snickered, Hermoine smacked him with her book while fighting a grin of her own.

"None of that no, he just expressed great interest in speaking with you. James told him to expect your flashy

entrance at any moment."

"Hmm, I guess I should go announce that Voldemort is dead then."

The conversations around the table screeched to a halt resulting in the other tables noticing and also quieting down.

"The Dark Lord is dead, his soul anchors destroyed. He's gone. For good. You may go back to eating now."

Chaos descended and shouting came from the Slytherin table. Lily glared at my bluntness before sighing.

"Couldn't you have at least waited?"

"Nope."

This time Harry joined in the laughter.

The Headmaster invited me into his office after dinner and I dragged the rest of the world jumpers with me. Harry told us that Gryffindor would be throwing a celebration at the common room after we got back. I smiled and handed the teen a crate full of drinks.

The conversation with Dumbledore was surprisingly pleasant. The old wizard was actually nicer in this world.

"So you plan on finishing out your seventh year here before leaving back to your world?"

"That is the plan Headmaster Dumbledore."

I chimed in. "Though I think everyone here wants to go on more adventures despite what they may say."

The old man chuckled, eyes twinkling away. "Alas, I am too old to go on anymore adventures. Perhaps you can give me a glimpse of these other worlds?"

"Nonsense, you forget that I'm a god. I can restore your youth with a snap of my fingers."

Though I didn't really know how. The Stones usually did all the heavy lifting. Now I had to re-explore my powers to see what I could and couldn't do.

"Just the glimpse my boy."

Anyone else would have been smite on the spot for calling me a boy. In this care I could actually feel the care in his voice.

I focused for a bit before opening a window to a world where tall blue aliens roamed. Dumbledore watched in wonder as the blue aliens flew on winged creatures or rode in horse-like animals. I shifted the view to a world where animals had more human traits and a little rabbit was arresting a fox. The view shifted once more to another Harry Potter standing at King's Cross with a large family.

I could have sworn I saw a tear slide down the old man's face before it disappeared as quickly as it appeared. He smiled softly and thanked me for the moment. The Marauders spoke to each other for a moment while Dumbledore extracted the memory and placed it in a vial. He stored the vial in a medicine cabinet over his pensive before turning back to us.

"I have no qualms about letting you finish your schooling here. Though I suppose you already have, but if you want to spend more time here it is fine by me."

"Thank you Headmaster." Lily said with a small smile.

"Think nothing of it, and you may call me Albus when we're not in public Lily. You and your friends have earned it for ridding the world of evil."

Once the man dismissed us the Marauders ran back to the Gryffindor dorms excited for the party.

"He really is much different in this world. I always thought he was a manipulator. Didn't think he'd actually be kind."

"Well I told you didn't I?"

"That you did." I stopped and grabbed her arm. "Do you regret coming along with us?"

She looked into my eyes. "Hardly, this has been the most fun I've had in a while. Though I take it that's not the reason you asked."

"No, I'm the forest where I Killed Voldemort. I was confronted"

"By who? Are you alright? Did they hurt you?" She had the cutest look of concern on her face.

'When did I start to think Lily was cute? Well, I do have a soft spot for redheads I guess.'

"After all this time you still think I'd get hurt? I'm flattered that you care so much Lily." She glared at me. "Alright alright, no I wasn't hurt. And I suspect that they were this world's deities. They took something from me though."

"Stop playing the pronoun game Theo just tell me."

I fought the urge to snark at the nickname she gave me. She must have realized what she called me because her eyes widened before she schooled her expressions.

"We'll get back to that later. They took away artifacts that gave me some of my powers. Among these was the power to move through space and time."

"So you're saying that we might be stuck here?"

"Unfortunately yes, but I will find a way to get you home."

"Okay."

"Wait what?"

"I didn't really care as much, I mean, I'll miss my family until then. But I have confidence in you that you'll find a way back for all of us."

"I- um. Thank you for your confidence."

"Now enough of that, let's get to the celebration. Before those idiots do something stupid that gets us all expelled.

I woke up with a comfortable warmth on my chest. I hadn't had a good night's rest in quite a while. It was still dark in the dorms so I could barely make out the room in the thin streams of sunlight leaking through drawn curtains. I felt something tickle my nose and I looked down, almost jumping in alarm when I noticed the head of red hair laying on my chest. Memories of the night before flooded my mind causing my ears to heat up.

Lily's hair fanned out like a crimson halo as I held her arms over her head. Her lips on mine, as sweet as I had imagined them to be. The delicious moans that escaped her lips as her hips met mine at every thrust. Her perky breasts bouncing as she… I slammed the metaphorical doors to the memories shut. My mouth felt drier than a desert. Lily stirred, sighing softly as she cuddled closer. I looked at her nose twitch cutely as a lock of hair fell over her face. Carefully I tucked the hair behind her ear hoping that she wouldn't notice.

"Theseus what time is it?" She groaned.

I swallowed thickly, at least she had been conscious enough to know it was me. The thought of taking advantage of her made me sick. Casting a quick tempus I saw that it was just shy of eight in the morning.

"It's about eight."

She sighed before snuggling even closer, she paused. Her eyes flew open and met mine. A brilliant blush bloomed on her face. There was a scream that drew both of our attention. We looked over and saw James Potter jumping out of a window.

'This day couldn't get any weirder.'

"Back to bed?" I looked at Lily. She nodded.

"Back to bed."
