Welcome to Dungeon Hotel

Chapter 167

Samsaek, the cat who worked in sales and reservations, rarely transformed into a human.

As far as I’ve seen it, I’ve only seen it once.

There was a young man, or perhaps a boy—it was hard to tell, slightly smaller than me and with a languid appearance—who truly transformed into a human just once.

When the manager was about to drop the cup, Samsaek quickly leaped forward with agile movements, transforming into a human to catch it and hand it back.

‘You have to be careful. The sound of glass breaking can be very painful to the ears.’

Though I only saw his arrogant face once, that single experience was enough to captivate the heart of the manager, who could be considered the leader of sales and reservations.

 ‘You’re handsomeeeee!’

After that, the manager showered Samsaek with treats and all sorts of toys.

Sometimes, when the manager is busy and the tourist reservation phone rings, Samsaek stretches elegantly, gracefully moves over with dignified steps, flicks the phone with its front paw, and then answers the call

Even though he was a tricolor who did almost no work except talking to cats and taking reservations.

‘This is my first time seeing a spirit from the service industry like that.’

Does this have something to do with the lazy cat manager at the Grey Hotel?

With the possibility of hiring new staff becoming available, the restrictions on the current employees were lifted.

Unless inside the dungeon hotel, the employees had to remain in animal form, but by using my mana, I was able to humanize them.

‘There was a shortage of workers, but it worked out well.’

Even so, Samsaek still refused to change, but the other spirits worked as hard as they did.

 There was another change.

 Yeongchun Hotel has been expanded.

There were two main things I planned for the expansion of Yeongchun Hotel.

Expansion of the coffee shop on the first floor of the Yeongchun Hotel and securing parking space.

First of all, the expansion of the coffee shop was essential for the residents of Yeongchun-myeon to continue to enjoy our hotel’s coffee and to provide a stable supply of coffee to tourists from outside.

To achieve this, we completely renovated the two-story building right next to Yeongchun Hotel into a coffee shop, and we installed two high-quality coffee machines purchased from a top-class store.

Although it is not as effective as the ‘Random Potion Coffee Machine’, using the coffee machine seemed to provide a vitality and health buff.

 Vitality and health.

I was satisfied because both were essential for the residents of Yeongchun-myeon.

We also created seating areas throughout the spacious garden, allowing guests to enjoy coffee outdoors while overlooking the sea.

It required quite a sizable piece of land, uhm… well…

 Because I have earned something?

 This is Flex.

The rental income coming from ‘Yeongchun Hotel Street’ is just enough to earn pocket money. Even though the rent was frozen, the profits were quite good, probably because the entire street was rented out.

“Thanks to that, my mom is going crazy saying how well her business is doing these days. She’s ecstatic.”

The manager was also particularly excited.

With Yeongchun Hotel doing well, the biggest beneficiary was the house of the women’s association president, which was right in front.

Nowadays, Yeongchun Hotel only provides meals to guests, excluding the café menu on the first floor for non-guests.

People who came because they wanted to see the Yeongchun Hotel couldn’t just come down here and drink coffee, so they naturally ended up looking for Yonggung Sashimi restaurant.

Furthermore, while enjoying the coastal views, visitors also found themselves exploring the nearby large and small shops, contributing to the expansion of the commercial district.

‘…Of course, it can’t always have good effects.’

While a popular restaurant in the neighborhood might breathe life into the commercial area, it often comes with disadvantages for nearby residents.

That’s why the parking lot was created.

Parking lots had to be expanded as the number of out-of-town tourists would increase.

However, even this was a matter of land, and as the newfound landowner (…), I decided to expand the parking facilities.

First of all, the biggest problem would be illegal parking, so we decided to make the space as wide as possible and make parking fees not that expensive.

After that, problems such as throwing trash or friction with residents large and small could arise.

So the person I asked for help from was the governor of Ganju-gun.

“You mean the coffee here? It’s not just coffee. It’s a potion that everyone in Seoul comes to drink. It’s a potion. In guilds or similar places in Seoul? They charge 100,000 won per cup, but our boss just serves it for less than 10,000 won!”

That’s the guy who’s sitting there right now, shrugging his shoulders and bragging about the Yeongchun Hotel coffee shop to the Jeongcheon-gun governor, who’s looking like he’s chewing shit right across the street.

Did you say their names are Choija, Gyeongja, or Deokja?

That’s the very person who, before the Tourism Board’s commercial was released, contacted me in advance. He drove to the hotel himself, shook my hand, and even shed tears as he expressed his gratitude, entrusting the welfare of Gangju-gun to me.

He was contacted directly by the Hunter Association.

As expected, Uncle Junsoo’s power is enormous.

 Anyway,

Thanks to the governor, additional public parking spaces have been expanded throughout the neighborhood, police conduct frequent security raids, and trash cans are managed quite well.

It seems that the Hunter Association made significant investments in Gangju-gun under the guise of an MOU with Yeongchun Hotel and Gangju-gun.

I was looking at the governor of Ganju-gun, who was busy bragging about the Yeongchun Hotel, the governor of Jeongcheon-gun, who looked like he was getting ready to run out, and the young man who seemed to be the governor’s driver, who was busy taking pictures of the coffee shop.

I had a feeling that soon a photo like this would be posted on the young man’s social media account.

@driver_kim (Picture) I’ve been here too. A hot topic place. #YeongchunHotel #DungeonHotel #AreWeDrinkingPotionsLikeHuntersToo #TheMayorsFightingInTheBackAreCute #Actually_Not_Cute After spending so much time browsing social media, I now feel accustomed to the grammar of SNS.

“I’m also part of the MZ generation now.”

Samsaek must have read my happy expression and said as if it was pitiful.

“Meow. (The fact that you say that is proof that you are not from the MZ generation.)”

 “…Why?”

“Meow, meow. (I heard that the MZ generation doesn’t like being called the MZ generation. Just like Hyejin.)”

After finishing speaking, Samsaek struggled wildly, escaped from my arms, and walked steadily towards Hyejin, who was sitting in the yard.

So you’re trying to get a snack again.

I turned my attention away from Samsaek and placed the coffee cups of Ganju-gun Governor and Jeongcheon-gun Governor on a tray.

This is an Americano full of vitality and health buffs.

Since the governors were sure to be looking for sugar, we served them with two sugar cubes.

 “Ah, thank you, boss.”

“Thanks to the governor, I am grateful that hotel guests can enjoy their stay comfortably.”

The governor smiled brightly at my words.

“Ehey. I don’t know how much this Ganju-gun can grow in the future through MOU with Yeongchun Hotel, but isn’t this something I should do with the Ganju-gun in mind?”

Next to the laughing governor, the governor of Jeongcheon-gun stiffened his face.

“You were very excited about whether it was MOU or MCU.”

The governor of Jeongcheon mumbled something incomprehensible as he took a sip of the coffee I served.

Soon, the governor of Jeongcheon-gun’s eyes widened.

The ‘Coffee Shop Customers’ are amazed by the taste of coffee. The governor of Jeongcheon-gun seemed to stiffen as he looked around with his mug in hand.

The ‘Coffee Shop Customers’ is analyzing it after being amazed by the taste of the coffee. …Does it feel like losing because it tastes so good?

I pushed the sugar towards the governor of Jeongcheon-gun, who seemed to be lost in thought and quietly said.

“I went to Jeongcheon-gun last time, and it was just as beautiful and nice as Ganju-gun. One of the reasons why Jeongcheon-gun is so beautiful is because there is a governor who cares about Jeongcheon-gun.”

 I meant it.

The same goes for the governor of Ganju-gun and the governor of Jeongcheon-gun, both of whom felt a love for their hometown amidst a strange sense of competition.

They seemed to be people who truly loved Ganju-gun and Jeongcheon-gun.

 “…!”

So, didn’t this window pop up as soon as I finished speaking?

The satisfaction level of ‘Coffee Shop Customers’ has reached 100%!  Achievement ‘Sugar? I don’t need it. My heart’s sweetness is already at 100%’ has been achieved, and rewards have been delivered. Would you like to claim them? Y/N The governor of Jeongcheon-gun gently pushed away the sugar cube, tilting his head at a 45-degree angle while rubbing his forehead.

“It feels like all the hard work has gone away because there is someone who understands me.”

 …?

Why did you suddenly speak like that…?

Where are you going for your dialect…?

The governor of Jeongcheon-gun said, holding out a business card from his arms.

“I’m always ready for a partnership with Yeongchun Hotel. After all, there are plenty of properties available in Jeongcheon-gun as well.”

 “Ah… y, yeah.”

Seeing me accept the business card, sparks seemed to fly from the eyes of the governor of Gangju-gun.

“E, even so, Jeongcheon-gun is under development and cannot be used, so land like this is not available.”

“This hotel is for injured hunters, right? Hehe. Neither Jeongcheon-gun nor Ganju-gun has a decent healer hospital, but while Ganju-gun has almost no proper hospitals, Jeongcheon-gun has a four-story internal medicine building right next to the county office.”

From earlier, he spoke in a manner similar to someone from Seoul↗.

The governor of the Jeongcheon-gun frowned and shook his head.

“My pride aside, isn’t it a major concern for both tourists and residents to not have a hospital nearby when they’re in pain? That’s why my daughter pursued medical school with the intention of opening a clinic in Jeongcheon-gun. She graduated as the top student and is now practicing there. Currently, she’s hearing the sound of Jeongcheon-gun.”

 “Ah.. physician…”

“The place where the doctor is! The place without a doctor is! Where would the boss form a partnership with…?”

 It was then.

I heard a coughing sound behind me and someone got up.

The server, Bichon, quickly approached the customer and said,

“Director Kang, are you heading in? Haha~ Next time, please share more interesting stories with us!”

“….”

Both the governor of Ganju-gun and the governor of Jeongcheon-gun, along with myself, turned to look in that direction.

Then, a female guest who was quietly getting up looked at the governor of the Jeongcheon-gun and smiled awkwardly.

 “Hello, Dad.”

I blinked and looked at the hardened face of the governor of Jeongcheon-gun.

“Ah… That person is the doctor of Jeongcheon-gun.”

She’s been coming here for a few days now, though.

I never would have guessed that one of the regular customers of our hotel’s coffee shop was a doctor.

 It was then.

A window appeared in front of me.

Purified Sickly Dragon King  Cough… cough…I told you to let me know if you have any additional requests at the hotel, right? My body is getting weaker and I want to smoke a good cigarette.
