Wheel of Actual Fortune

I'm so exhausted. There's certain burn inside of me that's even worse than having your ass hurt from a really bad constipation check on the toilet. I knew this was going to happen since Kaizen, the me before transmigrating, had been practicing with his powers, and being exhausted of energy is like the pain from training muscles.

With it all said and done, I'm hoping to score myself a position in the Student Council for today. Being a first year is already cutting it but having some lower positions might give me a chance. In fact, I already knew a perfect role for myself, which is to be a committee chairperson for the first years.

I think aiming for Auditor might be good too so I'm going through the motions. From asking Mr. Skipper, apparently there were 3 people aiming to be the Student Council President, with two being favored for the position.

I wasn't privy to that information as a reader but apparently that guy got the position so easily in that situation? The only mention about how the student council president got there was that he was voted in a landslide.

How could he do that when he is the one that wasn't favored among the three?

I had empty thoughts, he must have a strong ability then? Or maybe an even bigger influence he was yet to reveal till his death?

...

I found myself at a loss so I sped up my pace to school. Just this morning, I got a roll from the gacha.

It was honestly a confusing thing to me as when I got the ability, I realized that this power was a power of a power?

Body Infiltration is the ability to send water to immobilize and tear someone from the inside through the principle that people are made of 70% water.

Body Infiltration is user by twin dolls, which are summons used by two other guys.

I'm honestly happy that I got the ability than the summons but it's honestly confusing as to whether I should dispute to it or not. The sensible thing is to not complain because summoning those dolls might backfire due to their penalties.

One such is if those dolls die, so do I. Plus, am I supposed to carry bottle caps around? Yeah, those two come from engraving on bottle caps, crazy right?

With that aside, I must say that it's similar to the Yozakura Family which has only one ability, the Yozakura Blooming, which then extends to various abilities according to a person's personality.

I guess I'm an exception.

It's interesting how the powers from the power system of these worlds are integrated into the rules of mine. And I appreciate it because the powers in this world are very conceptual and hold very little bars except for the confines of energy and imagination.

Honestly, I would have called bull if it weren't my reality. In fact, I had no problem with it before because I explicitly knew this type of story was that kind of power fantasy.

I can only massage my head from that. It's simple and complicated in it's own way for a man of science.

Taking in the scenery and the winds of a metropolitan city, I would have hated the smell too if it weren't for the use of eco-friendly alternatives.

The only thing that ruin it all now would be the smell of blood and ash that might come out every month or so, maybe even in a week if crime rate is high.

Entering school early again, I decided to just stay in the library and finish up on the stuff I haven't read. Time passed slowly by.

I could feel the tick, tick, tick, of my mental clock. I could only tap and tap my finger along with slight restlessness.

Then there was a call from Satoshi, it's about the club day.

"Oh? You're already at the academy?"

"What can I say? I'm an early bird. Do you need something here?"

"No it's fine, let's meet up later. Mr. Skipper said we have to record the where the class' signs up to by the end of the day.", Satoshi explains.

"Got it. Anything else?", I say as I noticed a bird fly up from the other side of the library's window...

"There's nothing else, Kaizen, thank you.", I stood up and came closer to look at it in a clearer view before dismissing it.

"Mm, Catch you later.", I leave the call and swipe through my contacts for a second. The important ones I have here are Satoshi, Revengers, Bleu, and one other for the Auditor.

I probably should have gotten Wincy's number too, it's not like I'm a prude after all.

I return to the classroom after being done with my business. A few students were here, and it seems the trio whose names remember in and out, probably died in the story— almost everyone dies anyway, have been at it by themselves for some time.

"C'mon, you have you join the Track and Field Club. That's a staple for us!", The hyperactive brownie of the group, the one with curls and all, insisted his friends.

"Guys, can't you see? This academy has a Game Club, a Game Club! What school has those?", The guy with a devil-may-care attitude frowns at Mr. Guy with Sanpaku eyes who naturally replied with the only sensible opinion that I can agree with.

"But their schedules conflict! It's one or the other.", Gray hair and strange eyes has a point. I'd do this one over the other, as a certified Jack of Clubs, but it also depends on which competition you're more willing to participate in.

"Bro can't decide man, we'll be here forever! How about join the Basketball team and then have the Game Club?", The guy with red hair kicked up his feet on the long desk, grunting and huffing. I should seriously remember their name this time.

"Not you too Heinz! I thought we're all going to the Track and Field Club?", 

"It's actually kind of mid if I'm being honest.", The sanpaku eyed guy waves it off.

"Sorry Keene, a change of pace from the old middle school track team seems better, plus you know how the academy implements abilities in sport now.", The guy who I just remembered to be Heinz Durt smiles wryly.

"Heinz, Heinz! It's not about that! I know you guys are fit for the track team, just think flexibly about your concept! I'm sure you guys can come up with an amazing ability. You'll both run circles around this years competitors.", Remembering it now, the guy going on about is Keene Boulevard. Ok then the other one's Griff Talks, keep it together Kaizen!

"Keene, while I can see you point... Game Club.", Griff took the cake with that one, show em'!

"Have the boys fallen to such a low? Where is our youth?", Heinz shout out with something that seemed to ignite a spirit in my soul. Damn, I couldn't have said it better.

"Alright Keene, get it together. Griff's probably on another obsession, you can't stop him now that he's like this.", Heinz couldn't even bother from what I can tell.

"Damn it, Griff!", Keene glares at Griff

"C'mon, Keene, join me... join the dark side.", Griff tries bribing Keene

"Do they have cookies?", Heinz perked up.

"You betcha they will.", Griff smirks

"Like hell they're having cookies. It's a scam I tell you! A scam!", Keene huffs, the bribe was not effective.

With that episode done. I cough out a steel marble into my hand before pocketing it with the others, they were all surrounding a packed bottle of water I'm keeping with me.

Whenever I can, I just make compressed balls of poison gas with my abilities for emergencies.

I look over as Bleu comes into the room while sticking his eyes to his Holo-Wire, "Anything interesting going on, huh?"

 "Nothing much actually. I'm more interested in the clubs.", Bleu looks at me before pondering a second and replies, his Holo-Wire cutting off automatically.

Failing to glean anything significant from his wire, I settled on the topic of the clubs, "You interested in any? I'm sure we sent all the clubs in the list we sent on the Holo-Chat."

"That's the thing, I can't decide yet.", Bleu sits down with fatigue.

A good club huh? I thought about those in Dimensional Descent and asked, "How about a club with a lot of interesting things happening?"

"Like what?"

"You know, trouble."

"I think that's a you kind of interesting rather than a me kind...", I shrug, not denying.
