"Gaga, do you know what those wizards are asking you to protect?" Ethan asked.

"Gaga doesn't know." Gaga shook her large head.

"The bad wizards didn't let Gaga see. So, whenever they came, Gaga just squatted in the corner!" Gaga explained to Ethan.

"Okay." Ethan scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Gaga was too honest, so she had been trapped here for many years without knowing what was happening.

"Gaga, do you know where the door to the next room is?" Ethan asked.

"This, Gaga knows!" Gaga shouted excitedly.

"The door is here!" Gaga pointed to a wall covered in thick vines with her stubby fingers.

Gaga eagerly wanted to help Ethan remove the vines, but suddenly, she seemed to remember something and withdrew his hand as if shocked.

Seeing Gaga's fearful expression, Ethan immediately realized that the vines on the wall were also enchanted to block Gaga.

Ethan took a few steps forward, pulled out his dagger, and cut through the vines covering the wall.

Soon, a smooth door appeared before them.

Just like the previous door, Ethan placed the ring on this one.

The ring vibrated violently, followed by a creaking pulley, and the stone door blocking their path slowly opened.

"Mr. Ethan did it! Mr. Ethan is a hero! Gaga is finally free!" Gaga cheered as Ethan opened the stone door that had trapped her for decades.

Beyond the stone gate, the tunnel between the two rooms had transformed into a wide cave.

This cave was covered with lush vegetation, with thick plant roots coiling through the space like pythons.

Faint fluorescence filled the cave, illuminating it with various glowing plants. The light was so bright that Ethan didn't need his cat potion.

"Gaga, was there always something like this in the mountains?" Ethan asked, surprised.

"Gaga doesn't know where it came from!" Gaga was even more surprised than Ethan. Without hesitation, she stepped into the cave.

"It's so beautiful here!" Gaga marveled, grabbing a glowing mushroom from a rock and tossing it into her mouth, chewing heartily.

Before Ethan could stop him, Gaga had already swallowed the mushroom.

Ethan had intended to warn Gaga that the mushroom might be poisonous but decided to keep quiet. Mountain Spirits, after all, were incredibly powerful creatures that were resistant to almost everything—physical attacks, magic, and poison.

The vines that had kept Gaga trapped were a testament to this power. Their whip-like tendrils could easily slice through ordinary wizards or even fire-breathing dragons, not to mention the burning magic infused in them.

"Gaga, I might have to explore this cave," Ethan said.

"Gaga will explore with hero Ethan!" Gaga raised her stout arms and cheered.

"Gaga, I'm not sure..." Ethan started to refuse, but seeing Gaga's excitement at being free, she couldn't help but say no.

Besides, having a strong ally like Gaga might give him more confidence in facing any unexpected dangers.

And so, Gaga and Ethan embarked together on their journey to explore the mysterious cave.

Soon, Ethan discovered a similar path on the cave floor. Though the path was now overgrown with dense vines, human hands had clearly leveled the ground.

They followed the path.

Although Gaga didn't need to eat, she was a gluttonous creature immune to all poisons. Along the way, she kept picking and eating plants from the cave.

Ethan noticed that some of the fruits were poisonous—he could see the juice from Gaga's mouth burning the ground, leaving round holes in its wake. Yet, Gaga still wore an expression of pure enjoyment.

A massive tree appeared before them as they turned around a dirt slope.

It was an enormous tree, so large it reached the top of the cave, possibly even beyond it. Ethan couldn't tell just how tall the tree had grown.

"Oh my God! Tall tree!" Gaga exclaimed in surprise, thrilled by the sight; after being trapped for so long, seeing such a majestic view satisfied Gaga.

Surprisingly, Ethan hadn't encountered any serious obstacles on the way. The cave seemed friendly enough, and Gaga had been snacking the entire time.

However, as they got closer to the tree, they were confronted by large, frightening insects. These insects had tough black shells and were about half the size of a human. As soon as they spotted Ethan and Gaga, they rushed forward aggressively.

Before Ethan could react, Gaga dealt with the insects swiftly and efficiently. He grabbed one of the creatures with sharp, steel-like jaws as though it were a small puppy. Its jaws, which gleamed dangerously, couldn't penetrate Gaga's skin. With a quick twist, Gaga snapped the insect in half and stomped on its head. The creature was done for.

Gaga briefly considered tasting one of the bug's legs, but after a bite, she frowned and tossed it aside—apparently, even the usually ravenous Gaga couldn't stomach its flavor.

As they continued towards the giant tree, more insects appeared, but none posed a threat to Gaga.

She dispatched each of them quickly, even when an enormous eight-eyed spider attacked. The spider's sharp fangs couldn't pierce Gaga's tough hide and met the same fate as the other insects.

Gaga plucked off all eight of its legs, playing with two in her hands as if the entire adventure were just a casual outing.

With Gaga as his protector, Ethan felt secure enough to focus on the task. Before long, the two reached the base of the giant tree.
