Witcher's Atelier

Chapter 2 Prologue (Part 2)

Late at night...

"No! What did they do to you!!" Ciri woke up from her dream with a sweaty scream. She dreamed of the sorceress Yennefer, whom she regarded as her own mother, being tortured in a cold and damp prison, with dry black blood clots on her hands.

She knew that this was not a dream, but a real fragment. As a unique source sorceress with the blood of the elders, her blood gave her not only huge and uncontrollable magic power, but also the ability to travel through time and space.

This blood made her coveted by powerful evil sorceresses, and in order to capture her and obtain her blood, her loved ones who loved her were hurt because of this. This cognition made her tremble uncontrollably.

She knew that she had to leave. The vacation was over. She had to go back... She had to... Face her own destiny, even if it might face the most unbearable humiliation.

As we all know, there was no genetic cloning in the Middle Ages, and if there was no special magic to extract blood, then there was only one way left.

The door opened, Victor walked into the room, sat on the bed and patted her back: "Did you have a nightmare?"

The past experience made her a woman who was not very trustworthy, but after six months of getting along, she could not refuse Victor, this young, simple, calm and sensible child.

She suddenly hugged Victor tightly, choking with sobs and began to confess her true identity, the pain she had experienced in the past, and the reason why she had to leave now.

In front of him, I became weak, she thought. But I want to tell him, my dearest little brother, he deserves to know the truth before I leave him forever.

“So, your name is not Falja, but Ciri. You are not a traveler from the other side of the mountain or the other side of the sea, but a traveler from another world; the princess of the Kingdom of Cintra, a source sorcerer with mysterious blood and powerful magic.

Before, a group of evil elves from another world, Ain.El, kidnapped you and trapped you in their world, wanting you to have a child with their king to obtain your blood.

Fortunately, you found a chance to escape.

Then after many twists and turns, you finally traveled to our world and fell at my doorstep.

Today, half a year later, you learned in your dream that a powerful sorcerer in your original world kidnapped the lady you regarded as your mother and tortured her, so you had to go back to save her.” Victor, who was being held tightly and forced to explain, was a little out of breath, and his facial features were tangled as he concluded.

Although there were many vague words in Ciri's description, Victor could fully see through those parts that were difficult to say and even not very harmonious.

“It’s hard to believe, right? But what I said is true. I’m sorry that I used a pseudonym to get along with you at the beginning. Please forgive me.” Ciri murmured.

"No, I believe every word you say, really."

Victor really believed her. Ciri could feel that he was not lying, and this realization made her eyes wet.

Only Victor knew that the reason he liked this little girl when they first met half a year ago was because her appearance reminded him of a long-lost memory. A long, long time ago, before he traveled to Bell Town, he had played a game in which there happened to be a woman named Ciri, with the same silver-gray hair, emerald oval almond eyes, and deep scars under her eyes.

The starting point of his liking for the little girl half a year ago was his love for the memories of Earth.

So when her current description matched his memory, he could not find a reason not to believe it.

On the roadside a few miles away from the town, Ciri, who had packed her luggage, led the horse, and Victor and her said goodbye here.

"Will you forget me?" The air suddenly became silent, and the two asked in unison.

This wonderful tacit understanding made the two smile at each other.

"I won't forget you, my dear brother."

"Neither will I, Ciri."

"Why don't you call me sister?"

"That's difficult, Ciri, especially since I've been taking care of you, a life idiot, for almost the past six months."

Victor took out two bottles of blue potion from the herbal bag he always carried with him when he went out and stuffed them into the girl's waist bag. "Take these two bottles of potion with you. They can save your life when you get hurt. They are not inferior products made by me, but the best ones left to me by my grandmother."

"Thank you..."

Thinking back on the past six months of dreamlike pastoral life, Ciri fell into sentimentality until the sudden chill woke her up.

"Oh no, those elves from Ain El are chasing us."

Ciri jumped on the horse's back and saw countless ripples in the surrounding space, which was a sign that the space path was opening. She found that she couldn't leave Victor behind, and couldn't leave Victor to these cruel elves.

"Come on." Her arms suddenly exerted force to drag Victor onto the horse. Ciri cried out tenderly: "Hold me tight"

Closing his legs together, Kelpie let go and ran wildly.

Amidst the turbulence and shaking, Victor looked back at the gradually opening space tunnel, and knights dressed like the Lich King swarmed out, roaring angrily, and then began to chase without hesitation. He couldn't help but whispered: "This is the chase that is indispensable in epic stories!"

Ciri ignored him and concentrated her mind. The outline of a door suddenly opened in front of the horse, and inside the door was a phosphorescent milky white vortex.

In the light and shadow with full special effects, on the strong and warm back of Kelpie, Victor held Ciri, a little girl who wanted to be his sister, and experienced the first "conscious" crossing - a little dizzy, uncomfortable, uncomfortable, and fainted.

……

Kaer Morhen - in the ancient language, it means the ancient sea fortress. It is the castle where the wolf-faction witchers are trained and their home. Ciri has lived here for several years. She was very happy that she could locate here smoothly, and she was even happier to see the surprised expression of Uncle Vesemir who was repairing the wooden comb pile in the courtyard.

She carried the unconscious Victor off the horse and gently placed him on the haystack in the courtyard.

"Ciri, how did you appear here?" Vesemir easily recognized Ciri, even though she appeared in a way that was too sorcerous. "Geralt and Yennefer are looking for you everywhere."

Ciri took two steps forward and hugged Vesemir. "I know, I know they are waiting for me, I must go find them now.

Listen, Uncle Vesemir, I don't have time to explain. This child is my brother, and he is very important to me. I want to ask you to take care of him, just like you took care of me. He saved my life, and he is very... very important to me."

Faced with Ciri's serious expression, Vesemir, who didn't know the situation, could only nod in agreement. He watched her kiss Victor's forehead, step on the Kelpie, and pass through the portal like the wind and lightning, disappearing in the courtyard of Kaer Morhen.

...

Her shuttle successfully located the nightmare, the place where the sorceress Yennefer was imprisoned - Stygga Castle.

However, it must be said that Ciri was still too young and naive at this time. She believed that she had many bargaining chips, and two consecutive long-lost successful positioning and crossing made her feel that she had a great advantage. She didn't even know that the opponent could interfere with and block her shuttle ability.

So she walked into the castle confidently and openly to negotiate, and then was beaten black and blue, tied to a special harmony chair to be trained.

Fortunately, before the final twist, her adoptive father, White Wolf, who was linked to her fate, Geralt arrived with his team to find his daughter, preventing the tragedy from happening and rescuing Yennefer and Ciri.

In the end, Geralt teamed up with Yennefer to fight against the evil warlock, and Ciri fought against the cruel mercenary alone, starting a fateful duel.
