Chapter 114: Chapter 114: The Hulk with a Human Head

Clark's expression was quite peculiar at the moment.

Just after Hulk instantly killed an enemy with a punch, Clark suddenly felt a special energy surge into his body, significantly healing his severe injuries and even replenishing some of his lost strength and energy.

If before, during the battle with the seven, he could only exert about ten percent of his strength from his prime, now he could unleash about twenty percent!

Hulk's action of killing an enemy somehow replenished Clark's strength instantly, but the principle behind this phenomenon was something Clark couldn't figure out at the moment.

With the urgency of the battle, there was no time for him to ponder. Seeing Hulk once again engaging in combat, Clark immediately moved into action. After dodging several bullets enhanced with dark energy, he leaped above the gunman, his staff whirling with a howling wind, and smashed down towards his opponent.

The battle, with Hulk's involvement, shifted from a balanced or even disadvantaged situation for Clark to a complete dominance by Clark and Hulk, turning into a competition of who could take down more enemies.

Hulk, despite his not-so-high intelligence, was adept at choosing his opponents. The four black bears were slow, their main advantage being their strength. However, their strength was only considerable relative to other dark apostles and somewhat inferior to Jin's, not to mention far from matching Hulk's league.

With their strongest point utterly overwhelmed, the remaining three black bears stood no chance against Hulk, a top-tier powerhouse. They were hammered to death one after another in a short time, their deaths so brutal that detailing them might attract the attention of the 404 gods.

However, Hulk's actions perfectly aligned with Clark's wishes.

Among the seven enemies, the ones who troubled him the most were not the magician or the two officers skilled in Russian combat and gunplay, but precisely those four black bears.

These creatures were tough to kill in one hit and would quickly heal with dark energy. Their wrestling skills, all control abilities, made anyone caught by them extremely vulnerable.

With the threat of the black bears gone, Clark's attacks became more unrestrained. After familiarizing himself with the three enemies' attack methods, he fought with exhilarating ease.

Just five moves were enough for him to shatter the dark gunman's head with his staff.

Three more moves, and the Russian combat expert was also taken down by Clark, turning fabric into a spear that pierced through his heart.

The battle was now without suspense, but Clark couldn't feel happy because strange things continued to occur.

With each enemy's death on the battlefield, Clark felt an unknown energy entering his body, healing his severe injuries and quickly replenishing the energy and strength drained in the fight against Hulk.

Now, his injuries were mostly healed, and his strength was about half restored.

At this moment, if he wished, he could exert the strongest combat power of his prime! Was this a good thing? For Clark, such an unexpected boon immediately raised suspicion.

Although he didn't know what the problem was, he didn't believe this sudden replenishment came without side effects.

If given a choice, he would prefer not to recover so quickly.

After all, with his current physique, the energy and strength he used up could be fully restored with a good night's sleep, and the internal injuries caused by Hulk's punch could be completely healed within three days!

Unfortunately, he couldn't stop this special energy from entering his body.

He had to figure out what was going on.

As the situation turned desperate for the dark apostles, the female dark magician opened a portal to escape. However, as she stepped into the portal, Clark's rejuvenating hand wrapped tightly around her right hand.

With a gentle pull, he yanked the strength-noted magician out of the portal.

A flick of his wrist transferred the force along the cloak directly to the female dark magician's arm, shattering her forearm bones.

With a heart-wrenching scream, Clark quickly disabled her other arm and legs, completely depriving her of the ability to escape or cast spells.

Seeing her eyes filled with hatred, Clark couldn't help but smile satisfactorily.

He had captured a live one.

And from the looks of it, she was the most knowledgeable among the seven.

The task of answering Clark's many questions now fell on her.

Just as Clark pondered how to extract the information he needed from the female magician, a green foot descended from the sky.

It crushed the magician he had captured into a pulp.

With the 100 impression points and the special energy infusion, Hulk had taken the last "kill."

This was frustrating! It seemed Clark would have to consult the Ancient One for answers.

After taking the last kill, Hulk turned to Clark with a supremely smug smile, declaring in a booming voice, "I won!"

With the deed already done, what could Clark say?

He could only reluctantly give Hulk a thumbs-up: "Alright, you're strong, you're awesome, you're V587!"

While he said this, the "Heart-Clearing Mantra" BGM quietly played.

Hulk, already mellowed by the joy of victory and further calmed by the timely music, began to shrink.

In a few breaths, he transformed from a three-meter-tall behemoth into a skinny Caucasian man.

Bruce Banner, back in his true form, looked around bewilderedly as Clark stepped forward and placed a hand on his shoulder.

Banner: "Who are you, and what do you want?"

"Don't be alarmed," Clark calmly stated. "We're in Siberia, where the temperature is minus 27 degrees Celsius. With your current body, without warm clothing, you'd freeze to death in less than ten minutes."

Banner was startled, then shook his head, "But I don't feel cold at all."

"That's because I temporarily transferred my energy into your body to keep you warm," Clark explained, retracting his hand. "Stay here for a moment; I'll find you some clothes."

With that, Clark turned and walked towards the ruins of the building.
