Chapter 397: Chapter 397: Who is Ganata's Father?

"I..." When asked by Clark about his future plans, the silver glider shook his head despondently. "I don't know."

"I don't even remember who I am, nor anything before serving my master."

"My existence was solely to find planets for my master to devour."

"So, the freedom you speak of has no meaning for me, because I don't know what to do with it now that I'm free."

Clark smiled slightly at this and waved him over, "That's simple, come here."

The silver glider stepped forward in confusion, and Clark then touched his forehead.

As Clark pointed, a remarkable scene unfolded for all the Avengers present to witness. Starting from the point where Clark's finger touched, the silver glider's metallic outer shell, like mercury, receded and revealed a face not much different from that of a human.

First a face, then the entire head, and then the whole body...

Until the silver shell that gave him his great power completely dissolved, the silver glider's body shook violently, and he looked at his hands, muttering, "I remember now, my name is Norin Radd. I was just an ordinary person, an astronomer from my hometown, who agreed to become the herald of Star-Eater to protect my planet."

With that realization, the silver glider bowed deeply to Clark once again, "Thank you, Mr. Clark, for restoring my memory and body, thank you!"

Clark smiled slightly, "You are a respectable man, even Star-Eater had to admit that. So, I'll ask you again the question I posed earlier, what do you plan to do next?"

"I want to go home," said the silver glider seriously. "Although I've lost the ability to traverse star fields, I can work on Earth until I save enough money to buy a spaceship. Then I'll go home."

Clark nodded lightly at the silver glider's choice.

In fact, if the silver glider had requested, Clark wouldn't mind sending him directly back to his home planet. After all, that would be no difficulty for Clark at this point.

However, since he wanted to earn his way back through his own labor, Clark decided to respect his choice.

This wasn't Clark trying to exploit the labor of the space scientist. In fact, with a great calamity looming, it was arguably not the best time for him to return to his home planet. In comparison, Earth, under Clark's watch, was somewhat safer, and by the time he saved enough money, the calamity would likely have passed.

Probably...

Clark handed off the task of arranging the silver glider's work to Hank Pym and then returned to his villa to check on Ganata's current situation.

Since Star-Eater had entrusted her to his care, it was natural for Clark to want to learn more about her circumstances.

As for the cosmic calamity...

The exact nature of what was happening was still unclear, so it was best to observe and wait.

Even though Clark didn't mind facing trouble head-on, he needed to at least know who the enemy was before acting. Right now, he didn't even know where the enemy was, so rather than worrying aimlessly, it was better to watch and wait.

After Clark left, the other Avengers also dispersed from the hall, each using their own methods to enhance or refine their abilities, preparing for a battle that could break out at any time.

Tony, just back from a honeymoon in space, took the initiative to gather Doctor Strange, Professor X, Beast Hank, Mister Fantastic, and Doctor Hulk, saying he had something important to discuss.

"Tony," Doctor Hulk was the first to express his confusion, having known Tony the longest, "What's with all the secrecy in calling us here? What do you want to discuss?"

Tony grinned slyly, then asked everyone, "Aren't you at all curious about the origins of that girl named Ganata?"

"What's there to be curious about?" Mister Fantastic asked, puzzled. "Wasn't it already explained that she is the daughter of the planet devourer?"

"Is it really that simple?" Tony's eyes twinkled with intelligence, and he seriously analyzed, "Remember, before the battle with Star-Eater, Clark said that the form of the planet devourer is beyond our understanding, and what we see isn't Star-Eater's true form, but the form that best fits our understanding. But after that incident, I discovered something very interesting…"

"Oh?" Prompted by Tony's query, Banner quickly asked, "What is it?"

"About the appearance of Star-Eater," Tony said. "Mister Richards, do you remember how I asked you to sketch the image of the planet devourer from your memory and send it to me after that battle?"

Mister Fantastic immediately nodded in acknowledgment.

Tony continued, "In fact, I privately contacted everyone involved in that battle and asked them to send me the images of the planet

 devourer they saw. And then..."

With a wave of his hand, Tony projected several images of the planet devourer in the lab.

All the projected images were almost identical, with no significant differences.

"These are the planet devourers we all saw. Looks familiar, right?" Tony confidently stated, "So, I think Clark actually lied. What we see of the planet devourer is not determined by our subjective consciousness; instead, it's determined by the planet devourer himself. Star-Eater decides what image he wants us to see, and that's all we can see!"

Everyone seemed to agree with this logic. But then...

Beast Hank couldn't help asking, "Even if everything you said is true, what does that prove?"

Tony spoke with conviction, "It proves that the true identity of the planet devourer might be a female deity. She lets us see her as male because that's how she wants us to perceive her. In other words, she might be in disguise as a man."

"And then?"

Tony's smile became more lecherous, "Then I started thinking about another question. Who is Ganata's father?"
