Chapter 73 - This Noob Is Not a Date Material at All II
Twenty minutes later, Daisy called to check on her cute little sweetheart.
“I’m in the bathroom. I’m going to take a rest after a while,” Bai Xi said sweetly. “Has Auntie eaten?”
“Just finished lunch,” Daisy replied with a smile, then took a closer look at his voice. The tone sounded cheerful and lively, and there seemed to be nothing to worry about. So, she tried again: “What are you busy with recently?”
“Normal work, and a lot of things related to superpowers,” Bai Xi replied in a low voice. “Oh, but we will give ourselves a holiday tomorrow.” He couldn’t help but show off this matter, even though the person on the other end was Daisy.
“What are you going to do?” Daisy’s tone really rose as she asked, deliberately, “Let me guess—shopping, a short trip, watching a movie, or something else interesting?”
“No, just have a meal,” Bai Xi complained in an overt tone. “I’ve been too busy recently.”
“Okay, cutie.” Daisy was infected by his joy, and her worries just disappeared. After hanging up the phone, she questioned her sister again: “Are you sure Han Zhuo’s emotions were complicated at that moment? They’re clearly going on a date tomorrow, which should be filled with the fragrance of flowers and the chirping of larks.”
“Really?” Gwen held the coffee cup with both hands, tilted her head and checked carefully, then finally admitted, “Well, our little cheetah is indeed in a good mood. Maybe I just made a mistake.”
In fact, it was difficult for Mr. Han to be in a bad mood at that moment, because after Bai Xi took a shower, he came up to him and asked, “Does it smell good?”
“It smells good,” Han Zhuo nodded. “It smells like a freshly picked strawberry.”
Bai Xi’s bragging didn’t go like he wanted, so he said, “This is lime basil mixed with citrus. Where did you smell the fresh strawberries?
Mr. Han: “…”
‘Why does shower gel have such a complex scent?’
“Forget it, I won’t dislike you.” Bai Xi was very generous, squeezing his cheeks with both hands, and then moved up to kiss him again. What they hadn’t finished on the sofa just now still made him want to be kissed and caressed by the other person.
“It’s two o’clock in the morning.” Han Zhuo wrapped him in a quilt. “You have to rest.”
“Tomorrow is the weekend,” Bai Xi emphasized.
“But you have to maintain good physical strength and condition tomorrow.” Han Zhuo kissed him gently on the bridge of his nose. “Be good and be obedient.”
‘Stamina? Will they go mountain climbing?’ Bai Xi was very confused. He had never heard of anyone who had to maintain good physical strength for a date—of course, unless he had other motives. After all, doing something did consume a lot of energy.
“Good night.” Han Zhuo turned off the bedside lamp.
Bai Xi laid in his arms. “Then I want little stars.”
As soon as he finished speaking, a dozen little stars floated in the bedroom. They lined up briskly and dexterously, as if they were pierced by a thread, and then fell on the soft quilt, which happened to be in the shape of a heart.
It was old-school to death, but also romantic to death.
Bai Xi smiled and hugged him tightly, contentedly saying, “Good night.”
“Good night.” Han Zhuo kissed his forehead. “Have a sweet dream.”
This sentence was like magic, and Bai Xi really had a good dream all night, and it was a little… not suitable for children. It wasn’t until eight o’clock the next morning that he reluctantly opened his eyes.
“Morning.” He yawned vigorously.
“Morning.” Han Zhuo put the folded clothes on his quilt. “We’ll set off at half past eight.”
“Don’t you want breakfast?” Bai Xi asked. “Why are you in such a hurry?”
Han Zhuo nodded and rubbed his cheek with his thumb. “After finishing the business, I will treat you to a big meal.”
Bai Xi became alert because of these words. “What business should we do?”
“What I said last night.” Han Zhuo explained roughly. “You will know when you get there.”
Bai Xi asked again, “Is it fun?”
“Huh?” Han Zhuo hesitated for a moment.
Then it was these few seconds of hesitation that finally made Bai Xi realize that what he called “arrangement” today was not a date at all… who knows what it was.
“Be good.” Han Zhuo was very considerate and helped him squeeze out toothpaste and put in hot water. “Brush your teeth and wash your face. I’ll wait for you in the living room.”
Bai Xi wanted to sigh deeply. He looked at the dejected face in the mirror and felt quite defeated.
But setbacks were setbacks, and things still had to be done the same. So, after tidying up, he went out with Han Zhuo, planning to see what was going on.
.
“Whose call were you taking just now?” Daisy asked casually while applying nail polish on the other side of the ocean.
“Oh, it’s Han Zhuo.” Aunt Gwen drank melatonin before going to bed. “He was going to the Knowledge Bookstore, so he asked me if the access code had been changed.”
