Z-MON X

Deveno roamed through the city in search of any council members or Z-Mon's. However to his surprise the city was empty. Snow started to fall which had decreased the temperature. Deveno wanted to hurry up before it had become freezing cold. The Land of Vertex was known for their intense weather. If it snowed then it would be a blizzard followed with unbearable freezing temperatures. He jumped from roof to roof but still no luck in search of any council members

"Shit" He was starting to get impatient. 

Then in the corner of his eye he spotted someone in the same clothing as the council entering a building. He instantly rushed towards the house's roof and dropped down. The roof fell and he landed on the floor. He was face to face with his opponent. He didn't recognise the man but the man recognised him instantly.

"Holy Shit. I'm lucky as hell man Deveno came to me himself."

Deveno confused by what meant by this replied

"You're a face I don't recognise."

The man smiled. He grabbed Deveno's chin and leaned into his face.

"Of course you wouldn't. I never get sent out on missions unless it's major."

Deveno startled by the man's sudden movement towards him, grabbed his arm that held his chin and went in for a punch to the stomach but the man was quick on his feet and dodged. He let out a laugh that sent chills down Deveno spine.

"Man Oh Man. You're such a pretty boy aren't ya just like me. All the ladies are all over you like flies."

He approached Deveno once again but this time Deveno was on guard reading for any weird movements.

"My name is Tidus. The creator of elements. It's a pleasure to meet ya prince charming"

Deveno reached out for his sword and pulled it out. Tidus did not move from his spot. Deveno was conflicted on whether he should attack first or let Tidus go first. The biggest issue for him was the lack of knowledge of Tidus syreum.

"The son of a bitch has got me in his fingertips.! No matter what I do I don't know how the will react" He thought to himself.

Then Tidus reached out his hand towards Deveno. First fire had emerged from his hand then it started to take the form of something. It turned into an object that Deveno had never seen in his life. 

"Suprise?" Can't blame ya this here is what the Vertexian's call a gun. It's meant to be a huge improvement from a bow and arrow and is more fatal as well. If you aim it well then just one can KILL YA!"

Suddenly he shot a bullet encovered with fire at Deveno. Deveno had just barely dodged which had caused the bullet to graze part of his arm leaving a slight burn . The bullet was slow enough for Deveno to avoid being hit in his main body area but not slow enough for him to fully dodge it without it grazing an arm or leg. 

This was the power of his opponent's syreum. However now that Deveno knew his opponent's power he could counter it. 

Deveno had a special syreum from others. His syreum allowed him to control the strength of others syreums. This varied on power. The stronger the syreum was compared to him the harder it was for him to lower its strength. Some syreums are not affected by his but these people are those who have inhumane strength such as those in the council of hope and a few members in the council of despair.

Tidus has unleashed another bullet at him but this time he didn't avoid it. The bullet bounced off him. 

"Whoa would you look at that. Your looks aren't the only thing cool about ya. Too bad though. Look's like your actual opponent's have arrived."

Behind Deveno was a pair of a male and female. 

Deveno turned around to see two more members behind him.

10 minutes before

Gireo was running on the ground looking conflicted. 

"Shit why the hell did he have to be there." She thought to herself.

She didn't know how to feel about Deveno in fact she avoids talking about him when possible. If another member would ask her what she thinks of him she would cuss at them and walk away. This even applies to Xenevia which had highly pissed off the other members but Mateo was the only one to actually attack her. This had caused a fight between them in which Giero had won. She apologised to the boss after and stated to the rest of the members that they have a complicated past and wish they would not bring it up.

While she was running she saw Jiro and Esto on the roof of a house. Esto seemed to be looking for someone whilst Jiro was sleeping. Gireo called out to them.

"Huh? Oh it's Giero"

Esto jumped down and met up with her. Gireo saw Esto as a mother figure and highly respected her. She was the only female member she felt that she could relate with.

Gireo explained how her encounter with Shiebe went.

"So did he say anything to you?"

Gireo hesitated to speak for a second but then replied

"He just teased me for picking a fight with his brother"

"I see"

Esto didn't want to prior on for more information as she knew it was sensitive to Gireo even the look on her face showed that she was upset. She grabbed Gireo's shoulder

"You know. He is in the council of hope and you're in the council of despair. I don't know what happened between the two of you but the past is the past. You need to move on otherwise you will die a sea of your own fantasy."

Gireo was quiet but then she nodded her head. She knew that already as was trying her best but it wasn't easily knowing that he was on the island. To Gireo Deveno was her first friend, best friend and her first crush. She loved him a lot but ended up getting separated from him. 

Then a shout from above was heard.

Jiro was awake and had a disturbed look on his face and he pointed up into the sky. 

In the dark night sky there was a small rift in the air. The other two then got serious.

"Fuck! It's them. There coming"

"Today? I'm not ready though. I still have so much to live for."

There was a prophecy given to Xenevia when he had first started the group by the man who had raised him. It stated

The Moon will be covered by the dark. The white cold tears of the cloud will flood the city. Up in the sky will be a crack. This is the mark of the end. This mark signify the second coming of the Z-Mon's and the enslavement of the world. There will be war and chaos but the Z-Mon's will come out on top and split the world into two. Those who obey and the disobident. There will be one group however that will pose a threat to the God of Z-Mon's. Their leader will be gather a team that will free the world from this enslavement causing a war between the entire world. Those who are deemed worthy by the God of Z-Mon's will be taken to a new world whilst earth will be crushed. Beware the time is soon.

None of them thought that the story was true apart from Xenevia. Then the three of them agreed that they should go back home. They looked in every house for Tidus until they saw him fighting Deveno. Gireo didn't want to go inside so Jiro and Esto both went inside.It was their mission after all. 

Present Time

Jiro shouted at Tidus.

"Forgot this fight!The mark of the end is here ! We need to go now! The mission is over!"

Tidus looked confused along with Deveno but Tidus could tell that Jiro wasn't being his usual lazy self. He had a look of fear on his face. Tidus cancelled his syreum and walked past Deveno putting his hand on his shoulder before leaving.

"We will do this another time. If there is another time. Goodbye"

Before they left Deveno called out to them. He could tell something was wrong by the change of tone in Tidus face. Jiro and Esto walked out ignoring him but Tidus replied.

"The end is coming. The cult of despair will emerge and attack the world. There is a small rift in the sky that indicates they are approaching if you don't believe me."

"What!"

Deveno was unable to comprehend what was going on.

"There is about 2 weeks left now that the rift has appeared. Soon news will go around about animals dying and people falling sick. That's the first sign. The second will be an increase in the power level of both syreums and Z-Mons. Then the last sign war between the different races will emerge on the last day before they arrive. There is no changing this future."

The boy had a furious look at him as if he was about to cry. They all had this expression to them. They didn't even care if Deveno was there or not. 

"Goodbye."

He left the house. Confused and terrified Deveno left the house and went outside.The council was nowhere to be found. Then he saw it. A small rift in the sky. It was terrifying just looking at it could fill you with fear. It felt like it was over. Like the world had come to an end. 

"SON OF A -"

He wondered was the world really about to end.
