Chapter 3: What is Lu and everything?
Little Lu sat quietly on the soft, white ground, her knees slightly bent. The air around her was still, and everything seemed to blend together—the land, the sky, even the feeling of the world itself. Everything was the same color: pure white. Yes, she inhale and exhale feel a breeze entering, understanding that this is something she can't control but just be and can't help but it to have it be?
She looked down at herself again. Her body was different now. At first, she was just a shape, a being with a tiny little soft form on the ground. But now....now, she could see something changes and of course new! She had something, two things, covering her body. They felt smooth, soft, and a part of her, but they were so strange. She touched them gently. Question in her mind as she mumble "Luu? Lu...." meaning, What are these? she wondered. They weren't there before, but now they were, wrapping around her like a soft outer skin. She looked at her hands, her fingers. They were the same as everything else around her—white. It also increase her curiosity seeing the tiny hands similar, just like the toes and feet that similar but different on up and down. Her body, the white land, the up and down of the ground or horizon—it's all the same. She didn't know what color was, but she knew that she was no different from anything she could see. Her form blended with everything, yet, she was aware that she was more than just a flat shape now in this world of white canvas. The land stretched endlessly, all white, just like her. There was no sky above her that was different from the ground below. There was no change in the air, no colors to make the world feel alive.
Everything was just... the same. Why is everything like this? Little Lu thought. Why am I like this? What is this place? What makes me change into these? Her curiosity started to grow, bubbling up inside her, making her think harder and harder about all the questions she didn't have the answers to. In other words, she finds everything fascinating, a bliss that learning is what moves her around in this emptiness. Little Lu stood up and took a small step forward. The soft ground beneath her felt different with each movement, and the white land stretched out before her, endless and flat.
Every time she moved, she felt something new, something different, but it wasn't clear. She couldn't see colors, but she could feel the change in her body, in the way her feet moved, the way her legs bent. She looked around, wondering what could be out there. Why should I walk? she thought. What will happen if I do? There was a feeling inside her—a strange, new feeling that made her want to keep moving. It was curiosity. The more she moved, the more she felt something shift.
Maybe with each step, she could become something new. Maybe with each question, she could find an answer. What could I be next? she wondered, her feet dancing on the white ground, filled with excitement for what was to come. "Lu" she said softly to herself, the sound of her name coming out like a tiny whisper. She didn't know what it meant, but it felt good. It was a part of her, something that made her feel whole, even in this world where everything was the same.Little Lu paused for a moment. She didn't know why the world was white. She didn't know what it meant to have a body that felt different, but somehow the questions didn't matter as much anymore. She was moving. She was changing.
And with that thought, Little Lu took another step, her curiosity growing with every moment. Little did the change that she never notice, this land is also moving. Changing just like her progress, a something more. The whiteness is adding contrast by bit. The horizon of this empty white canvas world with each of her growth, the grey....
