Chapter 13: Chapter 13: The Tsundere and the Yandere Part I
Leni's jaw dropped, her eyes widening in disbelief by the sudden shift in behavior that Rosaline was displaying. She couldn't believe what the hell was going on.
"Oppa? What are you watching? Maybe I could suggest some movies you would like, regardless of the genre you might be interested in," Rosaline smiled at Larry.
Larry, however, seemed completely unfazed. During his previous life, he'd seen it countless times before, girls throwing themselves at him, their smiles wide and their eyes sparkling with adoration.
"Do so." Larry commanded with a voice full of authority and confidence.
Leni also found it odd to see her brother acting strangely, even though she treated him like invisible air. She's still his sister and knows Larry better than anyone else.
"O-okay then, since you're watching a horror movie, how about...?" Then, all of a sudden, Rosaline remembered that she was too weak-hearted to watch any horror movies. Since childhood, she had always been afraid to talk about scary stories, mainly about ghosts and demons.
Rosaline, knowing that she messed up big time, 'How can I let myself sleep tonight?' she thought.
Rosaline squirmed in her seat. The movie was turning out to be far more disturbing than she'd anticipated.
Meanwhile, Larry was watching a movie called "Balloon," where the story revolved around a single remote village, living in fear of giant, menacing balloons that mirrored their own existence. The balloons, hovered menacingly above waiting for its prey to show up outside, below the huge balloons were knotted rope that aims to strangle its victims.
Larry's anticipation rose to a higher degree as the protagonist witnessed a horrifying terror when her classmates were caught by the balloon's tendrils and lifted into the air one by one. As the plot progresses to its climax where a bunch of people were hanged leaving the survivors trapped inside their shelter in panic and leaving Larry entertained.
The plot was too gruesome, with bloody scenes scattered every time the protagonist saw someone being hanged by their balloon counterpart.
He couldn't understand the logic behind the balloon's actions. The film offered no answers, only a relentless barrage of violence and a palpable sense of dread.
"This world is amazing; they actually invented a thing called a cellphone, where communication becomes easier and people can be updated on recent global news." Larry was so ignorant about trying new things to experience in his second life.
Larry couldn't wait to binge-watch movies and TV series with R-rated action, psychological, and horror elements in them. His previous life was so boring, and nothing interested him besides researching ways to amplify his powers.
Not only movies, but Larry was also interested in finally experiencing what taste felt like, having the power of anti-ether nullify his sense of taste to a degree that he forgot the pleasure of tasting different kinds of delicacies all over the realms. Now that he had acquired this third mysterious aura, it seemed that he had regained his sense of taste and pleasure.
He's also planning to buy limited edition clothes and accessories once he's discharged from this hospital.
Based on the memories of the original owner, the technology in this new world had grown to a state of high advancement where AI and scientific studies helped him understand more and gain new knowledge about how this world actually works.
The humans in this, despite lacking magical energy, seem to develop and adapt over time into this kind of civilization.
He also became fascinated by how moving transportation and mechanical vehicles work. He set a new goal for himself: to buy and collect luxury cars.
Leni felt like she was left out again; no one gave a damn about her at all.
Larry and Rosaline were too engrossed in watching a movie on Larry's bed. Leni decided to peel an apple and wait until her parents arrived.
"Ahhhhhhhh!"
Rosaline overreacted at every moment there was a jumpscare; she seemed so weak-hearted for this kind of stuff. She was afraid that it might cause her to pass out, but with Larry by her side, all her worries seemed insignificant compared to her knight in shining armor.
'He smells so good; he smells like baby powder.' Rosaline just pretended that she liked the movies Larry liked.
However, finding out that most of Larry's movie preferences were too mature and violent, she felt cornered again, forcing herself to accompany her crush as he binged several movies.
Of course, Larry was just messing with her, knowing her reaction as a scaredy cat. Larry loved to see people suffer in their worst state.
"Rose," Larry uttered her name.
"Uhh?" Rosaline was surprised by how Larry's sexy and alluring voice mentioning her name for the first time made her heart flutter; she would kill anyone for Larry.
"Can you fetch me a glass of water?"
Rosaline could never refuse such a handsome man's request, but then she saw Leni holding a glass of water and was about to drink it when she immediately snatched it and gave it to Larry.
"Here, oppa. I hope you like it." Rosaline then made Larry drink the whole glass in one gulp, showing his Adam's apple moving up and down every time he drank. Rose blushed at the scene.
Leni was slightly annoyed that the two never failed to irritate her.
"Rose, can you feed me the sliced apples?" Larry didn't hesitate to ask for more.
"Okay, your highness." Rose, seeing the sliced apples beside Leni, then immediately snatched them and fed them to Larry.
When Leni returned after fetching another glass of water, her blood couldn't help but boil when she saw that all her sliced apples were missing.
"I'm thirsty; could you fetch me another glass?"
Leni heard Larry's voice again, but this time her instincts were telling her to get away before these two psychopaths would be responsible for her high blood pressure.
