Chapter 39 - II
When it got dark, one man and one snake finally took out all the things buried in the cellar.
Wan Zhong taking notes of his inventory:
10 large jars of marinated meat. A little sea salt. 33 three-legged chicken feet. There were a lot of wild fruits that were frozen and harder than rocks. 9 chicken skins with feathers.
Wan Zhong had learned from Xuan Ming that each season here lasted about eight months, and winter was particularly cold and longer than other seasons.
He didn’t know if this food would be enough…
There were too many things to worry about for Wan Zhong, and where to put things was one of them.
The most ideal storage location was undoubtedly the snake nest, but Xuan Ming refused without hesitation: “Snake nests are used to lay eggs, hatch the eggs, and raise offspring, not to store food.”
Wan Zhong: “…”
It turned out that the snake had bad intentions from the beginning. If he had known this, he should have –
Wan Zhong curled his fingers slightly and said to Xuan Ming: “I am a human; I need food and fire. You also said that winter will be difficult. When the wind and snow are raging, you will hibernate in the cave. If the cave is closed, what will I eat? How will I keep warm? If you don’t agree with me bringing food and firewood into the cave, then I’ll spend the winter elsewhere. Anyway, I’ll starve to death and freeze to death, no matter where I die.”
He turned around after saying that. Just as he was leaving, his wrist was pulled.
Xuan Ming held Wan Zhong without saying a word or letting go, just looking at him with a troubled face.
Wan Zhong pointed to a rock wall connected to the mountain more than ten meters away from the cave entrance and said: “Just use your tail to dig out a storage room for me to put things in. I promise not to make your snake nest dirty or messy.”
Xuan Ming: “…”
Wan Zhong: “Hurry up and carry firewood with me, and then go find some food with me.”
Xuan Ming was clearly being bossed around by his spouse.
He reluctantly turned into a black snake and used its beautiful tail to smash holes in the hard stone wall. While it was busy, it suddenly fell to the ground like a cramp for some unknown reason and turned into a half-human, half-snake.
Wan Zhong was using scales to divide the snake skin, preparing to hang it in the hole of the storage room. Upon seeing this, he ran over in a hurry and asked anxiously: “What’s wrong? Did you hurt your tail?”
Xuan Ming’s tail had been twisted and curled into a ball.
He knew that he was in estrus, and while tearing the scales on his tail impatiently with his hands, he moved the mirror in front of himself, hiding from Wan Zhong completely.
Wan Zhong screamed in fear when he saw the blood splattered on the ground. His first reaction was to run, but his feet, standing on the ground, seemed to be rooted, and he couldn’t move a step.
.
Wan Zhong bypassed the mirror and came to Xuan Ming step by step. After a long look at each other, he asked him: “…What’s wrong with you?”
Wan Zhong remembered that the last time Xuan Ming looked like this, he was shedding his skin. What was this now?
“You…are you in heat?” Wan Zhong looked at Xuan Ming’s ferocious snake tail and tentatively asked for a guess.
“You don’t have to worry about it!” Xuan Ming stretched out a hand from the tail, grabbed the mirror, and was about to jump into the pool, but Wan Zhong suddenly grabbed the tip of his tail.
“Then what are you going to do?! Tear off all the scales on your body piece by piece?!”
Wan Zhong threw himself behind Xuan Ming, shouting to stop it, “Stop tearing it off! Stop tearing it off!” while pulling with all his strength. He tried to stop the hands that kept tearing off the scales. However, Xuan Ming’s strength was too great, and he couldn’t stop it at all.
Wan Zhong saw Xuan Ming hurting himself like crazy, and in a hurry, he directly held Xuan Ming’s face and kissed him.
He was a little anxious and a little clumsy, but the effect was pretty good.
Xuan Ming pulled Wan Zhong, lying on his back, into his arms and blocked the entrance of the cave with a huge stone.
The wind was biting outside the snake’s nest. Inside the snake’s nest, it was warm and spring was in full bloom.
Wan Zhong’s whole body was shaking when he was put into the pit by Xuan Ming.
He was tightly entangled in the hot snake tail, hugging his waist and pressing down very hard for a kiss.
There was no way to retreat.
Wan Zhong tilted his head, struggling to avoid Xuan Ming’s extremely hot lips, pushing his shoulders with his remaining strength, and asked with pale lips: “Can you not use the tail?”
Xuan Ming was impatient. He heard it, but maybe he didn’t care.
His touch was rude and arrogant, and his obsidian-like eyes overflowed with thick green mist, illuminating the tears falling from the corners of Wan Zhong’s eyes like a faint fluorescence emitted by the luminous pearls inside the pit.
Wan Zhong hooked onto Xuan Ming’s hot and sweaty arm, using his strength to push the night pearl out of the pit.
The pearl rolled away on the rattan mat shrouded in green mist, and when it fell from the high platform made of black soil with a “snap~”, there were several sounds of nails scratching the flesh in the air, and a voice filled with tears of cursing.
“Xuan Ming~”
“You bastard!”
Note: oh noo~ Wan Zhong is being devoured, poor baby
