Chapter 39 - I
In the future described by Xuan Ming, every part had Wan Zhong.
But Wan Zhong could not give Xuan Ming a clear answer.
In this case, it might be better to tell a few lies that went against one’s conscience, but Wan Zhong couldn’t do that.
He felt that it was too unnatural to deceive a snake’s feelings to achieve certain goals.
Faced with Wan Zhong’s silence and polite refusal, Xuan Ming didn’t feel discouraged or shocked at all.
After all, he was such a handsome and charming snake demon. If Wan Zhong didn’t like him, it must be Wan Zhong’s problem. What did it have to do with him?
Xuan Ming’s snake tail hugged his spouse tightly in his arms and warmed him with his slightly hot scales.
But this was not a long-term solution.
As the weather continued to get colder, Wan Zhong required more and more heat and the temperature required by Xuan Ming as a snake was also different.
He could no longer get warmth from Xuan Ming’s body, nor could he hang on Xuan Ming’s body like a koala all winter. Not to mention a snake needed to hibernate, this was also very unrealistic.
The most important thing for winter was food.
Xuan Ming had brought him a lot of three-legged chickens before, which he made into bacon and put in the cellar. But after a strong wind mixed with fine frost and snow, it was firmly buried in the frosty soil.
Wan Zhong couldn’t dig it out manually, so he had to ask Xuan Ming for help.
Xuan Ming transformed into a black snake and went to dig the pit. Wan Zhong turned his head and didn’t look at it the whole time.
.
It wasn’t until the pots and jars buried in the ground were fully exposed that he said in a cold voice: “Okay.”
Without waiting for the black snake to help, he jumped directly avoiding its tail.
The black snake bared its teeth at the cold attitude of its spouse, but it couldn’t do anything to him. It turned into a half-human, half-snake. He thought Wan Zhong just disliked his snake’s appearance. When he turned around, Wan Zhong’s attitude was even worse than before.
Xuan Ming swung his tail on the ground with a “pop!” and reluctantly transformed into a human form.
This time Wan Zhong finally spoke to him. He picked up a jar filled with bacon and said to him: “Pass it for me, thank you.”
Xuan Ming glanced at him, took the jar, and said without emotion: “Between you and me, there is no need to say thank you.”
He said this ambiguously.
Wan Zhong hummed slightly uncomfortably. While moving things, he accidentally touched Xuan Ming’s naked toes, which were colder than ice.
He couldn’t help but talk again: “You’re not wearing shoes, isn’t it cold?”
He knew that this topic should be stopped here, but he noticed that his toes were different from the red ones elsewhere, and he didn’t know what had gotten into him. He actually stretched out his hands covered with mud and grabbed Xuan Ming’s frost-white feet that were not stained by dust. With an idiotic look on his face, he said: “But it’s so cold, even my fingers turned red from your cold.”
As soon as he said those words, he wanted to slap himself in the mouth, and he wished he could hit himself to death.
Xuan Ming was also stunned for a moment, and then smiled warmly like ice and snow melting, and asked him: “Do you care about me?”
Wan Zhong turned his back, Xuan Ming floated down from the ground, hugged him from behind, and said: “I’m so happy.”
His eyes, as black as obsidian, were like a huge magnetic field. Wan Zhong tilted his head slightly to look at Xuan Ming’s face on his shoulder, and accidentally fell into the green pupil line that burned like fire in his eyes, stunned and unable to recover.
Xuan Ming did not miss any opportunity to be intimate with Wan Zhong, and immediately kissed him in that position. There was no lust, just a simple and delicate kiss. Along with the cold and crisp breath, Wan Zhong’s face became slightly hot. Strangely, he felt a little different than before.
…Was it because of too many kisses?
Wan Zhong didn’t know, but when Xuan Ming chuckled at his ear at the end, he felt a string in his heart snap.
Their faces turned away.
Wan Zhong saw Xuan Ming’s fingers touching the corners of his lips, wiping away bit by bit the saliva on his lips that he had not had time to swallow. The cold touch completely ignited his already hot face and detonated it. Even the howling wind couldn’t extinguish the fire burning in his heart.
Xuan Ming also noticed that Wan Zhong’s reaction was different from the past. He gently raised his hand to cover his forehead and asked with concern: “Why did your face suddenly burn like this? Did you catch a cold?”
Wan Zhong came back to his senses and hurriedly avoided its touch. He said: “No! Hurry, let’s move these things out quickly, it’s getting dark soon.” After saying that, he turned around and continued working. From the corner of his eye, he saw Xuan Ming coldly snorted and threw his sleeves on the ground, and then he relaxed a little.
