Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Buying Tickets!

Chapter 9: Buying Tickets!

"Can I take a look at that pendant?"

Shen Fei stopped the vendor who was just about to display his goods.

The vendor was initially pleased when someone asked about the pendant. But when he looked up and saw who it was, his face darkened instantly.

It was that same fool from earlier—the one who only looked but never bought anything.

"Look? Can you even afford it? This pendant is very valuable! If you can't buy it, then scram! I don't have time for you!" the vendor said impatiently.

"Come on, brother, that's not fair! You have to inspect something before you buy it, right?" Shen Fei ignored the vendor's annoyed tone and replied with a smile.

Hearing this, the vendor reluctantly relented, "Fine, fine! Be careful, though! If you break it, you can't afford to pay for it!"

Although he didn't want Shen Fei to touch the pendant, he still didn't want to ruin his shop's reputation.

Shen Fei carefully picked up the pendant and examined it closely. Secretly wiping off a small patch of dirt at the bottom, his eyes widened in disbelief.

The gambler's description was spot on!

There was indeed a small uneven area at the base of the pendant, carved with a delicate willow branch. The jade stone visible between the dirt also showed excellent quality!

Even if he didn't know the pendant's exact origin, Shen Fei could tell it was no ordinary item.

In his previous life, Shen Fei had been a business tycoon worth hundreds of billions and had seen countless top-tier jade artifacts. Though this pendant couldn't compare to the finest treasures, it was leagues better than the typical fakes sold in Yongxing Alley!

This was definitely a valuable find!

"Stop touching it! You can't afford it no matter how much you look!" the vendor sneered, growing more irritated.

"How much for the pendant?" Shen Fei asked.

The vendor looked at him like he'd seen a ghost, then waved his hand mockingly, "Fifty thousand!"

Shen Fei paused and looked at the vendor with a troubled expression. "How about three hundred?"

He wasn't intentionally lowballing the price.

In Yongxing Alley, where the antique market thrived, vendors often quoted tens or hundreds of thousands for items. Yet Shen Fei had bought pieces for as little as a few dozen yuan in the past that turned out to be worth tens of thousands.

This time, he was merely testing the waters.

The vendor, however, was thoroughly insulted. He snatched the pendant back and shouted angrily, "Get lost!"

Shen Fei smiled awkwardly but wasn't upset.

After all, in his previous life, his gambling buddy had bought this very pendant for sixty thousand yuan. Offering three hundred was admittedly too low.

At the vendor's loud scolding, Shen Fei left without complaint. Now that he knew where the pendant was, he felt more at ease.

To divert attention, Shen Fei wandered around Yongxing Alley a few more times.

After being shooed away by several vendors, Shen Fei finally left satisfied.

After a quick dinner, Shen Fei headed to his next destination.

7:00 PM.

Outside the city stadium.

The place was packed with people, bustling with excitement. Posters of the performing singer and a mysterious guest—depicted only as a shadow—were plastered everywhere.

Fans poured in from all directions, tickets in hand, eager to enter.

Watching this, Shen Fei frowned slightly.

He knew that the tickets had sold for ten thousand yuan each to a group of diehard fans, but he didn't know which young man had originally sold them.

Still, there was no need to worry. Outside the venue, countless ticket scalpers were desperately trying to sell off their tickets. Their urgency to sell was greater than his urgency to buy!

As the singer's voice finally boomed from inside, Shen Fei began strolling around.

The clock ticked closer to 7:30, and Shen Fei grew anxious.

Just then, a young man stormed into view, his face full of anger.

"Hey, brother, are you selling tickets?" Shen Fei called out.

The young man looked at him, stunned.

Having attended concerts before, the young man was familiar with the scalping business. At this stage, tickets sold outside would be priced sky-high, with scalpers charging thousands for tickets originally worth a few hundred.

His anger subsided, replaced by curiosity. "You… want to buy tickets?"

Seeing the young man's furious expression, Shen Fei's heart settled.

This was the very same young man from his past life—the one whose friends had bailed on him last minute!

"Yeah," Shen Fei replied calmly.

The young man glanced at the tickets in his hand, lost in thought.

A few days ago, he and his friends had agreed to watch the concert together. Since he lived nearby and considered his friendships strong, he volunteered to buy the tickets.

He had spent most of his salary and effort buying seven tickets.

But on the day of the concert, his friends canceled, saying they couldn't make it.

"Are you selling or not?" Shen Fei asked, pressing for an answer.

"Yes! Yes, I'll sell!" the young man replied eagerly.

He was already disheartened and had no desire to attend the concert anymore. Recovering even part of the money would be a relief.

"Six hundred yuan each! Do you want one, or…?"

The young man wasn't trying to profit—he simply quoted the original price.

Shen Fei frowned slightly. "Six hundred?"

Hearing this, the young man's heart sank.

Was this guy trying to haggle?

A single ticket, and he still wanted to bargain?

Even so, it was better than losing everything.

But before he could lower the price, Shen Fei shocked him with his response.

"I'll take them all! Seven tickets for three thousand three hundred!"

The young man's eyes lit up. He quickly handed over the tickets. "Take them! They're yours!"

Shen Fei transferred the money promptly. The young man left with a smile, happy despite losing over a thousand yuan.

Moments later, a group of young girls approached Shen Fei.

"Are you selling these tickets?" they asked.

Shen Fei firmly shook his head. "Nope."

He was waiting for the big fish.

The girls, frustrated by his refusal, had no choice but to look elsewhere.

Then Shen Fei spotted them.

Seven elegantly dressed women, carrying designer handbags worth tens of thousands, rushed toward him in a hurry.

Shen Fei couldn't help but grin.
