Chapter 6: The Plan
With a warm breakfast farewell, Havi embarked on a journey to rediscover Loban Village, the quaint Telaga City hamlet where his story began.
With an air of restless adventure, Havi turned to his parents, requesting permission to explore the village surroundings, a pursuit long overdue.
"It's been far too long," he added, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.
A flicker of confusion danced across Mr. Ridho's and Mrs. Saras's faces as they locked eyes, their minds racing to comprehend the mysterious transformation in their son.
Havi is like a traveler who has been away for a long time and has just returned from his travels in the city, and wanted to immediately reminisce about his homeland. Both of his parents just frowned when they saw Havi's strange behavior.
"Dear.. Why is Havi acting so strange? Is it just my feeling?", Mrs. Saras asked her husband.
"Honey.. I also think the same thing. Let's see how Havi develops in the next few days. If we find any problems with Havi, it's best to take him to the doctor", Mr. Ridho answered.
"I'm actually afraid that Havi is stressed by our request, so he behaves like that, dear," Mrs. Saras said worriedly.
"What do you mean, honey?" Mr. Ridho asked again.
"That's it, dear. We told Havi to study harder, so that in the future he will be a successful person, not like us.", Mrs. Saras answered.
Mr. Ridho pondered for a moment. What his wife said this time was also true. Finally, Mr. Ridho made a decision.
"Honey.. I feel like there's some truth in what you said. How about from now on we don't put too much pressure on Havi?", Mr. Ridho suggested.
"I agree, dear. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Although Havi's provincial achievements are impressive, he's still very young to face life's realities.", Mrs. Saras agreed with Mr. Ridho's suggestion.
"Indeed, honey. Let's relax from now on. No more excessive worries. By the way, Havi's birthday is in three days. What are our plans? Shall we visit downtown Telaga City?", Mr. Ridho asked.
"Yes, dear. Havi's been wanting a bike for a long time. Let's get him one", Mrs. Saras nodded.
With the conversation concluded, Mr. Ridho and Mrs. Saras seamlessly returned to their daily endeavors.
Mr. Ridho ventured into the forest's outskirts to forage for fruits and other marketable commodities to support his household's needs.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Saras, as usual, walked around selling fried snacks in Loban Village. Havi's parents are renowned for their honesty in their work, earning them great respect in the community.
=======================
With immense happiness, Havi wandered through Loban Village, warmly greeting familiar faces. Memories of his early life, including familiar names, flooded his mind like rushing water.
The villagers, familiar with Havi, warmly reciprocated his greetings, recognizing him as a brilliant student who brought pride to their community.
Havi's top-three provincial ranking indirectly elevated Loban Village's reputation, transforming it from an obscure locality to a recognized and respected community in Telaga City.
Several wealthy investors have begun investing in Loban Village, establishing factories and various businesses.
Consequently, unemployment rates in Loban Village decreased significantly, as new factories and businesses prioritize hiring local residents.
After exchanging pleasantries with the villagers, Havi resumed his 'journey', intently observing his surroundings. Havi bid farewell to the villagers, resuming his expedition with keen observation.
Loban Village has regained recognition in recent years, primarily due to Havi's outstanding achievement of ranking among the top three provincially.
However, since Havi's transformation from an exceptional student to a repeat offender, Loban Village has faced widespread criticism from neighboring villages and cities. Furthermore, their speculative remarks caused Havi significant emotional distress.
Residents from neighboring villages remarked, 'What's the point of having exceptional intelligence if it leads to criminality? Loban Village seems adept at harboring notorious culprits.'
The negative statements from neighboring villages adversely impacted the factories and businesses in Loban Village.
Due to widespread criticism from neighboring villages, factories and businesses ceased operations, leading to renewed unemployment.
Determined to make amends, Havi vowed to accelerate Loban Village's development, leveraging his past experiences in his second life.
Havi's initial idea focused on harnessing the potential of Loban Village's waterfall. Given its pristine environment, Loban Village has immense potential for tourism development.
However, another challenge emerged : the lack of electricity in most Loban Village households. Electricity is crucial for future development, making this shortage a significant obstacle.
A popular proverb states that a village cannot be considered progressive without access to electricity. Although factories and businesses already utilize electricity, it's understandable.
Because the factories are located far from the center of Loban Village and are located on the border between Loban Village and Wlahar Village. Wlahar Village's development is attributed to government-provided electricity, facilitating industrial growth.
Havi revisited an innovative idea from his school days, harnessing water to generate electricity. Confident in his abilities, Havi envisioned creating a simple hydroelectric power plant utilizing the waterfall.
At least, if this is successful, then at least 40 houses including his own house can immediately have electricity.
'I must turn this vision into reality, but substantial funding is required. Where can I secure immediate financial support? To achieve this, I need significant funding. Is free financial assistance available nowadays? I might have to sell a lot of forest products here', Havi is determined.
