Anime Lottery System

I woke up the next morning with a notification from the system.

"Congratulations! You completed the achievement: Get Your First Bounty! You will now receive a new draw from the Anime Lottery System!"

"Oh, yeah I almost forgot about this thing. I'm going to get another ability, sweet I wonder what I'm going to get next. I've got some pretty great stuff so far."

"Congratulations you got an ability from the Anime Kingdom!"

"Huh? Kingdom? That Anime's about the Chinese warring states period. It's a cool show but it doesn't have special abilities really. I wonder what it could be."

"Congratulations! You got Go Hou Mei's Tactical Genius! Fair warning either with this ability is that it only activates when leading troops into battle."

"What? First of all, that's an extremely deep pull. That guys not even a main character, most people wouldn't even know who he is! And secondly I'm a pirate captain, I'll never led soldiers in battle! That ability is practically useless for me!"

"Hey you were the one who said you wanted to play on hard difficulty. You were told that the probability for high quality draws would significantly decrease the more you pulled. Basically it sucks to suck." The system said as it shut off.

"Man I almost forgot how much of a jerk the system is. That being said, I've already got some really awesome abilities. I'm not greedy, I'm fine getting by with the abilities that I already have."

Me and Yuma were still on our desperate search for crew members when we walked into a tavern after another fruitless search. As I brought my glass to my lips to take a drink I heard a gunshot and suddenly my glass was empty. I looked down a saw that the bottom of the glass was shot off and the contents were spilled out onto the bar. I turned around to see a man holding a smoking pistol.

The man was tall and muscular, he had dark skin and blonde hair and was wearing a cowboy hat. In addition to the pistol he was holding he had another strapped on the other side of his belt. He was standing on the other side of the room, and while the distance wasn't extremely far the room was packed with patrons and he managed to shoot my glass in between all of them. I was quite impressed by his marksmanship.

"That's quite the shot, it was impressive. Your manners were a little lackluster though." I said putting down my broken glass.

"Sorry about that, I have a habit of wanting to make a dramatic entrance." He said as he tipped his hat and holstered his pistol with a spinning flourish. "But I've got some business to run by you."

"And what would that be?" As we walked towards each other I gripped my sword. Given his less than friendly greeting I was expecting this to turn into a fight sooner than later.

"Well you see I'm a bounty hunter and you just so happen to have a bounty on your head."

"If you're here to collect my bounty you should have aimed your first shot at my head rather than my drink."

"The wanted poster says Dead OR Alive. I prefer to take my bounties in alive when I can. So I'm giving you an opportunity to surrender peacefully. If you refuse, then my next shot will dot your eyes."

"You think it'll be that easy?" As I was talking to the guy, Yuma had walked up as if he was going to try to back me up but I waived him off. I wanted to have a fair fight with this guy, I'd only want Yuma to jump in if I was in trouble.

"You might think a 20 million berry bounty is impressive, but here in the Grand Line, upstart pirates like you are a dime a dozen. A bounty that low is barely worth going after. I wouldn't even have bothered if I didn't happen to be in town at the same time as you. I guess it's your unlucky day."

"On the contrary, I think I'm pretty lucky to meet you here."

As the two of us were about to draw our weapons another man swung the tavern doors open. "Jack! You got the wrong idea always trying to take your prey in alive! They're pirates! It's good to hang pirates!"

The man who walked in was a large rough looking man with a weathered cowboy hat and a bushy handle bar mustache.

"John, I got here first. This one's mine get lost." The man called Jack said.

"You got here first, that's true. But from what I see, he's still alive. Which means his bounty is still up for grabs."

The two bounty hunters started to have a back and forth, arguing about which one would take my bounty.

"Well guys I'm flattered that you fellas are fighting over me and all, but might I suggest that you both just let me go?" I said putting my hands up.

"Not a chance." Jack said as he finally pulled his pistols on me. His draw was so quick I couldn't pull my sword in time. Just then, Yuma came out of the crowd and punched the bounty hunter called John.

Yuma's punch had sent the bounty hunter crashing into the ground, but as he fell a rope wrapped around Yuma's neck and was strangling him. His punch distracted the guy holding the guns on me long enough for me to draw my sword.

"Roar! Zabimaru!"

My first swing knocked Jack away, then I extended Zabimaru knocking John into the building across the street. As I retracted the blade I cut the rope that was choking Yuma.

"Thanks." Yuma said rubbing his neck.

"No problem, but I need you to take care of that guy. They're both strong I'm not sure if I can handle them both at the same time. But be careful he's really skilled."

"You don't have to tell me that I already know. I've got your back. Let's thrash these guys." He said as he gave me a fist bump.

Yuma left to continue his fight with John, and Jack was getting back to his feet.

"You shouldn't be so confident in your friend. That guy is a real scoundrel, but he's the real deal. That's "The Hangman" Roth John. No pirate he's ever faced has been able to avoid the gallows. Of course he performed all the hangings personally."

"I'm not worried, Yuma's strong he can handle himself. So you got a fancy name to match those fancy pistols you're carrying?"

"The name's Jack, Grover "Black" Jack. They call me Black because that's what people see after I draw my gun on them."

"Well isn't that nice, when I'm done with you people will call you black and blue."
