Chapter 96 The Death Factory Game, The Gates of Hell Are Opened (2)

“Let’s get started!”

Wang Yun placed the technological chip aside and quickly mobilized his five subordinates to begin their work. They spent the next six hours transforming the space, diligently working on their arrangement. After a final inspection and a satisfied nod from Wang Yun, they were ready.

“Be prepared by 5:40 tonight. We’re gearing up for something big,” Wang Yun told them, his face alight with excitement.

“Don’t worry, Boss. Everything here is under control. Ha, this afternoon, we’re going to make a real impact,” Brother Hu replied, his eyes gleaming with both excitement and a hint of madness.

“Great, stay here and wait for me. I’m going out,” Wang Yun said, a small smirk appearing on his lips as he stepped outside. The surrounding area was dominated by factories, with a slightly worn snack street not far off, offering a modest selection of eateries.

Wang Yun chose a small restaurant and settled down inside. He opened his laptop and checked the time. It was 2 PM.

‘Purchase the God-level Game Production Skill!’

With a determined thought, Wang Yun bought a god-level skill. He then started to create a game. Titled “Death Factory,” it was a level-based, challenge-driven game, straightforward in its design.

Within an hour, Wang Yun had completed the game and uploaded it online using his unique methods.

Checking the clock, which now read 4 PM, Wang Yun smiled to himself. He logged onto a website and posted a message.

“The game is about to begin!”

At the same time, inside a McDonald’s restaurant, a young man had been seated for a long time. He was holding a mobile phone that, despite lacking a SIM card, remained connected to the internet via Wi-Fi, enabling him to receive messages. Upon seeing the information displayed on his phone, he swiftly stood up and left the restaurant. He got into a van and started it immediately.

“The young man has been in McDonald’s for a good part of the day. No significant activity,” one of the captains noted.

“A lack of activity can be the most telling sign. He must have received some kind of message, otherwise, he wouldn’t have stayed there for so long,” another remarked.

Meanwhile, at the program task force headquarters, the six captains were silently awaiting updates. The driver’s prolonged stay at McDonald’s had raised both their curiosity and expectations. Spending half a day at McDonald’s was peculiar in itself.

Within a kilometer radius of the McDonald’s, numerous vehicles were stationed. Each car housed a program officer, all keenly waiting for the fish to take the bait.

“The young driver is on the move,” Wu Mingyu announced, his eyes shining as he observed the surveillance footage closely.

“He’s going out?”

The other five team captains instantly focused their attention, their expressions turning to excitement.

“Master, I’ve been keeping an eye on the McDonald’s Wi-Fi network. The person connected to it, likely the young driver, received a message. It seems to have come through a private webpage. Although I can’t determine the exact content of the message, there’s a high probability it was sent by Wang Yun. Wang Yun probably had the driver discard his SIM card and use his phone to connect to the internet for communication, Wang Yun’s approach is incredibly secretive. It’s impossible to see the content,” Ames remarked.

“Ha! Wang Yun is indeed cunning and his tactics are impressive, but he’s up against us,” Kolyev chuckled with satisfaction. “The disguise materials are crucial to him, he won’t easily let them go. He’ll get them, even if it means risking exposure.”

“To stay under the radar, let’s send two cars to tail the van,” Koliev continued, issuing a command, “The rest of our inspection team should follow at a safe distance.”

“Yes, Captain,” came the unified response from the program officers.

“Activate the road surveillance and focus on that van for extra security,” Jiang Youshan directed the operations staff.

“Understood,” the staff immediately set to work, tracking the van using the surveillance system.

The van eventually arrived at a remote, unsupervised area.

“Captain, the driver has exited the van. He’s on high alert. He opened the trunk and removed the materials,” reported an officer.

“He’s now in a taxi, license plate A43541,” another program inspector chimed in with the update.

“It seems he’s about to meet with Wang Yun. Keep tabs on that taxi. We’ve got a tracker in those disguise materials, so they won’t slip away from us,” Wu Yaoming declared, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

“The fish has bitten the hook,” Kolyev said with a wide grin.

They attentively watched the surveillance feed and the tracker’s displayed location.

“He’s extremely cautious. He switched to a different taxi in a secluded spot,” one captain remarked.

“He’s switched vehicles three times now. He’s truly vigilant. We would have lost him if not for our tracker,” another one added.

“Haha, no matter how careful he is, he’s still within our grasp. This time, we’re determined to catch Wang Yun.”

The captains discussed with palpable excitement as they watched the screen.

Half an hour later, Wu Yaoming declared, “Let’s move out. I won’t be satisfied until I see Wang Yun arrested with my own eyes.”

The group exchanged knowing glances and smiles, then swiftly made their way outside to a custom-fitted RV. The RV was equipped with computers and advanced technology. They set off, driving towards the young driver’s last known location.

“He stopped switching taxis after the third one and has taken quite the detour. Look, his current location seems to be the Linnan Logistics Area, just like last night,” Wu Mingyu pointed out.

“Yes, that’s Linnan Logistics Area. Is he thinking the most dangerous place is the safest?” Wang Yue mused, her eyes narrowing and a small smile appearing. “It’s actually a clever choice. After such a roundabout route, we might not have guessed this location without our extensive preparations.”

“Even better. If we didn’t catch him there last night, let’s make sure we do today,” Wu Yaoming said, his eyes gleaming as he grabbed a communicator. “All units, proceed to the Linnan Logistics Area.”

“Ames, to prevent Wang Yun from spotting our early arrival through the surveillance cameras, alter the footage. Let’s make the changes from the backend, Wang Yun won’t be able to detect it,” Kolyev promptly directed his apprentice. “Additionally, have someone scan the nearby surveillance for any unusual activity.”

They had been exposed by Wang Yun through surveillance the previous day. They were determined not to repeat that mistake. Furthermore, all the program officers involved in the operation were in civilian clothes.

“Heh, let’s pick up the pace, we don’t want to miss out on the action,” Ying Yuezi chuckled.

The vehicles sped up, homing in on the Linnan Logistics Area.

As time ticked by, a taxi pulled up near the Linnan Logistics Area after about twenty minutes. The young driver, with a bag and phone in hand, went into a small shop to connect to the internet. After checking his destination, he cautiously scanned the area for surveillance cameras, skillfully avoiding them, and then headed straight toward an abandoned factory.

In the vicinity, several cars stopped discreetly. Their occupants, alert yet acting like ordinary civilians, blended into the crowd. The time coincided with the end of the workday, and the streets were bustling with people. Furthermore, with the surveillance cameras already tampered with by the inspection team, their arrival was quite stealthy.

From one of the RVs, the six team captains emerged. Among them, Wu Mingyu and Wu Yaoming each carried a laptop.

Observing the young driver approach an abandoned factory, Wu Yaoming promptly gave an order, “The target is moving toward an abandoned factory. Deploy the drones and secure the perimeter.”

“Affirmative, Captain!”

Inside one of the first arriving vehicles, over thirty drones swiftly ascended, doubling the count from the previous night. This time, their preparation far exceeded that of yesterday.

“Ensure complete coverage of the factory. I want to be informed if even a fly escapes,” Wu Yaoming ordered, his lips twitching slightly.

“Rest assured, Captain. We’ll detect anything that moves,” came the confident reply from a program officer over the communicator.

“Teams one to six, quickly assemble,” Wu Yaoming continued to command, “Teams seven to nine, blend into the surroundings and act as civilians. Keep an eye out for Wang Yun and his group. There’s a slight chance they’re not in the abandoned factory but hiding nearby. We have to be ready for every possibility.”

A convoy of vehicles converged on the nearby roads, carrying a large number of program officers who rapidly formed up.

Compared to the previous day, an additional one hundred and fifty officers joined, bringing their numbers to over three hundred. A significant force.

Wu Yaoming’s strategy wasn’t limited to just enclosing the abandoned factory. He also deployed hundreds of officers to conduct expansive searches in the surrounding areas, ensuring a failsafe operation. They were determined to catch any glimpse of Wang Yun and ensure his capture. This time, they aimed to deliver a conclusive end to the show and bring the arrogant Wang Yun to justice.

Unknown to them, however, a young man sat in a nearby restaurant, observing the rising drones and plainclothes officers with a smile on his face.

“The gates of hell have opened for you. The game begins now.”
