Battle Through The Heavens : I Am The Thunder Emperor

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Such Long... Legs

Chapter 24: Such Long... Legs

Mo Yu was unaware of the shock that had rippled through the Thunder Clan in Zhongzhou; he had already returned to the Xiao family estate. Reflecting on the results of his recent secluded cultivation, the usually composed young man couldn't help but smile.

Breaking through to the Dou Zhe (Battle Practitioner) level was already a significant achievement, but the fact that he had managed to begin restoring the Tian Gang Thunder Body made him particularly pleased.

The Dou Qi continent is home to some unique physiques, such as the Three Flower Green Snake Eyes and the Calamity Poison Body. The Dou Di (Battle Emperor) bloodlines of the ancient clans are also considered special physiques. However, compared to the Tian Gang Thunder Body, these physiques are clearly on a different level.

After all, very few of these special physiques can break through the limitations of a lower plane, while the Tian Gang Thunder Body is a truly top-tier physique. Once fully developed, it can carve out a formidable reputation even in the Great Thousand World.

After his breakthrough, Mo Yu decided to give himself a day off. Following this brief respite, his life returned to its previous, orderly routine.

Every morning, he would head to the back mountain to train his Dou Technique, Thunder Armor Body. Then, he would return home to cultivate Dou Qi, occasionally spending time with his grandfather, talking with the elder. Mo Yu's days were carefully organized and meticulously planned.

Occasionally, he would run into Xiao Yan in the family estate. The young man had regained his former talent and was now rising rapidly in the family hierarchy.

After the test, the nickname "Xiao Family's Twin Dragons" began to spread—likely an effort by the family to bolster Xiao Yan's reputation or to publicize the family's strength. This title also subtly connected Mo Yu and Xiao Yan, reinforcing the prestige of the clan leader's faction.

The "Xiao Family's Twin Dragons" referred to Xiao Yan, the young master who had recovered his talent after three years of decline, and Mo Yu, a mysterious genius who had risen to prominence within just a year.

As this title spread quietly, the "Xiao Family's Twin Dragons" became well-known throughout Wu Tan City.

...

Half a month passed in this calm and leisurely manner, and tomorrow would be the Xiao family's adult ceremony—a significant event.

For a family to maintain its prosperity, it was essential to keep its vitality, which came from the younger generation. They were the fresh blood of the family, ensuring the continuous operation of this great machine.

As such, the adult ceremony was a day of great importance for every family, and the Xiao family was no exception. As one of the three major families in Wu Tan City, the Xiao family's adult ceremony naturally attracted the attention of various factions in the city. Some friendly factions even accepted invitations to participate in the ceremony.

Mo Yu wasn't particularly concerned about this, so he arrived right on time.

"Mo Yu, over here," a familiar voice called out as he arrived at the venue.

Turning around, Mo Yu saw a young man in black sitting under a large tree with a girl as beautiful as a lotus blossom. A gentle breeze blew, making the shaded spot cool and comfortable.

It was Xiao Yan and Xun'er.

Seeing this, Mo Yu smiled and walked over, teasing, "You two are inseparable, huh?"

Xun'er smiled gracefully in response, while Xiao Yan blushed slightly and scratched his head, looking embarrassed.

"Mo Yu, Xun'er and I are just... just..." Xiao Yan stammered, but before he could finish, Xun'er gave him a warning look with her beautiful eyes, making him even more flustered.

Mo Yu chuckled at the scene. The love between childhood sweethearts was indeed enviable.

After a moment, Xiao Yan regained his composure. It was clear that love was still somewhat of a luxury for the young man, burdened as he was with many responsibilities.

"Mo Yu, about the 'Xiao Family's Twin Dragons' title... It was something the family accidentally let slip. I hope you don't mind," Xiao Yan said apologetically.

Xiao Yan knew how powerful and mysterious Mo Yu was, and even though he had regained his talent, he wasn't sure he could stand shoulder to shoulder with him. The title seemed a bit presumptuous.

Mo Yu waved it off nonchalantly.

The clan leader was simply using this tactic to promote the family's reputation and perhaps strengthen his own faction by associating Mo Yu with Xiao Yan. But since this tactic didn't harm him, Mo Yu didn't see any reason to be bothered.

Seeing that Mo Yu didn't mind, Xiao Yan sighed in relief.

"You've reached the eighth stage of Dou Qi?" Mo Yu asked casually, scanning Xiao Yan.

Xiao Yan nodded weakly, as nothing could escape his perceptive cousin.

"Xiao Yan's progress has been impressive—reaching the eighth stage in less than a month. But Mo Yu, I sense your strength has also grown," Xun'er remarked, her autumn-like eyes flashing with a faint golden light, showing her surprise.

Mo Yu raised an eyebrow at the young girl before him. While it was true that the Dou Zhe level wasn't as easily concealed as the Dou Qi stages, Xun'er's ability to notice this was impressive. Clearly, she had some extraordinary means at her disposal, befitting the young mistress of the Gu Clan.

However, Mo Yu didn't intend to hide it, so he smiled and said, "I had a bit of good luck recently and managed to break through to Dou Zhe."

"Monster!" the black-clad youth beside him muttered in shock.

Despite Yao Lao's guidance, Xiao Yan had recently started to feel a bit cocky, especially considering how Wu Tan City could no longer contain his ambitions. But now, after facing the repeated blows from Xun'er and Mo Yu, he found himself doubting his own abilities.

However, Xiao Yan's resolve was strong, and he quickly regained his composure, feeling more determined than ever.

The girl beside him, as graceful as a lotus, had a faint smile on her elegant face, though her usually calm eyes showed a trace of surprise. Mo Yu's speed had almost caught up to her own.

The three of them, all incredibly talented, enjoyed a pleasant conversation before the ceremony began.

At that moment, Mo Yu's gaze suddenly shifted. Near the platform beneath a large tree, a voluptuous woman in a red dress was chatting happily with a group of people. The form-fitting dress accentuated her curvaceous figure, which was both alluring and seductive. Many people had already gathered around her, making her the center of attention.

This mature and charming woman in the red dress was none other than Ya Fei, whom Mo Yu had met before.

"Do you know her?" Xiao Yan asked, noticing Mo Yu's expression.

Mo Yu was momentarily taken aback before realizing that Xiao Yan hadn't met Ya Fei yet. He smiled and replied, "I've only heard of her—she's Ya Fei, the chief auctioneer of the Miteer Auction House."

Xiao Yan nodded thoughtfully, his gaze fixed on her captivating figure.

Seeing his expression, Xun'er's jealousy flared up, and the two lovebirds soon began a playful argument.

Mo Yu, unwilling to be caught in the middle of their spat, quietly slipped away.

"You're Mo Yu?"

As he moved away, a slightly bratty yet curious voice called out to him.

Turning around, Mo Yu saw a beautiful girl leaning against a large tree. She was dressed in what seemed to be an academy uniform, with a sword strapped to her waist. Her figure was tall and slender, but what stood out the most were her long, shapely legs—legs so long and sexy that even the alluring Ya Fei couldn't compare.

"Such long legs…" Mo Yu muttered to himself, noticing the legs before anything else.
