Being A Law God In Marvel!

Chapter 32: I Don't Know If I Can Handle It!

"Alright, brothers. When we make it back alive, drinks are on me. If we don't, I'll make sure your names are on a proper tombstone," Ryuji said with a grin.

Logan shook his head. "More like we'll be the ones writing your name on a tombstone."

Victor chuckled darkly. "Yeah, Ryuji, you're the one more likely to bite it first!"

Doutzen Carlos rolled her eyes but stayed quiet, gripping her swords tightly.

"Ha! Diana, it's your time to shine—let's do this!" Ryuji's form darkened as his energy flared, and in a flash, he shot toward the other side, flying low to avoid detection.

"Good luck to you all," Diana said, her voice steady, as she leaped toward the observation headquarters in a single bound.

"Good luck to you, too," Logan muttered as he and Victor melted into the shadows, heading toward the base.

---

The tension was electric as the battle began. For Logan and Victor, it was like unleashing two predators into a flock of helpless prey. The German soldiers didn't stand a chance. Under their relentless assault, throats were slashed, hearts pierced, and bodies torn apart.

Meanwhile, Doutzen Carlos found her rhythm. Wielding her dual blades with deadly precision, she cut down enemy soldiers one by one, her movements a deadly dance. Within ten minutes, the airfield was secured, and the planes were under their control.

---

On the other side, Diana and Ares finally clashed.

BOOM!

The entire observation headquarters erupted in a massive explosion, glass and debris flying in all directions. The force of the blast was overwhelming, sending shockwaves across the battlefield.

Diana, unprepared for the sheer strength of the God of War, was thrown back, her body crashing into the debris.

"Well, damn!" Victor gaped, his jaw hanging open. "Is that guy really a god?"

Logan frowned, concern evident. "If that's Ares, we stand no chance against him. Let's focus on keeping the planes grounded."

"Agreed," Victor said reluctantly, his bravado faltering as he watched the battle unfold.

---

At that moment, a shadow appeared in the darkness.

"Who's there?!" Logan barked, claws extended.

"It's me," Ryuji said as the shadow dispersed around him. "How's the situation here?"

"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be helping Diana? She's getting crushed out there," Victor pointed toward the battle.

"Diana needs this," Ryuji replied calmly.

"What?" Doutzen Carlos asked, worry etched on her face.

"Ares may be the God of War, but Diana is also a warrior born of gods. She needs this fight to awaken her true strength. Trust me, she can handle it," Ryuji said with a faint smile.

He glanced at the battlefield, his mind racing. Zeus had clearly set this up, pitting Ares and Diana against each other. Ares' power had been waning due to the diminishing wars in Europe, while Diana's strength was waiting to be unleashed.

Ryuji suspected this was all part of Zeus' plan to tip the scales in Diana's favor. Even now, his own magic was slowly chipping away at Ares' power, giving Diana a fighting chance.

---

"How are things here?" Ryuji asked.

Logan shook his head. "Not good. The gas bombs are still active, and there's a timer. Even if we keep the planes grounded, they'll release the gas eventually."

"Great," Ryuji muttered, frowning.

"The worst part? This gas is so concentrated it'll wipe out everything within fifty miles. Survivors would suffer a slow, agonizing death," Logan added grimly.

"And if it goes off while we're here? Even we might not heal fast enough to survive it," Victor said, uneasily eyeing the planes.

"Can we disarm it?" Ryuji asked, though he already suspected the answer.

"Nope," Victor said. "These things aren't designed to be disarmed. They're basically suicide weapons."

"Figures," Ryuji muttered, running a hand through his hair.

---

"Well, there's one thing we can do," Ryuji said after a moment, pulling out a set of enchanted stones etched with glowing black runes.

"What's that?" Logan asked, watching curiously as Ryuji began arranging the stones in a circle around the back half of the plane.

"This is a containment spell. When the gas explodes, the blast will be confined to this section. The rest of the plane will remain intact, and the damage won't spread," Ryuji explained.

"Wait, so the explosion will stay inside the rune circle?" Logan asked, impressed.

"Exactly," Ryuji said, standing up as he finished the markings. He glanced toward the battlefield and saw Steve and the others approaching.

"Now, do me a favor," Ryuji said, turning back to Logan and Victor. "Don't tell Steve about this."

Logan and Victor exchanged a glance before nodding in agreement.

"Understood," Logan said.

Victor smirked. "Sure. Let the hero have his moment."

"Ryuji!" Steve's voice rang out as he and the others arrived.

"Over here!" Ryuji called, waving them over.

---

As the group gathered, the battle between Diana and Ares raged on in the distance, their blows shaking the ground beneath their feet. The fate of the war—and possibly the world—hung in the balance.
