Chapter 16: Another Yellow-Rank Skill?
(Me: It's a great day. So I'm giving you 5 bonus additional chapters.)
Hun Xiu once again stepped into the Fighting Skills Pavilion. This time, he didn't just look around but went directly to the second floor of the pavilion at an extremely fast speed.
Clearly, Hun Xiu had a clear objective in mind: obtaining the second move of the Man-killing Palm, a Xuan-level fighting skill.
However, just as Hun Xiu turned a corner and prepared to ascend to the second floor, the system's voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
System Notification:
A choice appears. Does the host wish to sign in?
Hun Xiu muttered under his breath, "Sign in."
Option 1: High-level Yellow-Rank fighting skill – Tribulation Fist. This fist technique is divided into four styles, each corresponding to the four fighting skill levels: Yellow, Black, Earth, and Heaven. When cultivated to the peak, a single punch will annihilate all gods and ghosts.
(Note: Yellow/Huang, Black/Xuan, Earth/Di, Heaven/Tian)
Option 2: High-level Yellow-Rank fighting skill – Wind and Thunder Divine Leg. This leg technique is also divided into four styles corresponding to the same ranks. When cultivated to the peak, each strike contains the destructive power of wind and thunder, capable of obliterating everything in its path.
Hun Xiu paused, a faint frown on his face. "The system is offering me two Yellow-Rank fighting skills again?"
Originally, Hun Xiu intended to aim for Xuan-level fighting skills, but now, it seemed he had to progress step by step. After a brief hesitation, he silently made his choice.
"I choose option one," he muttered.
Hun Xiu quickly located the Tribulation Fist technique, confirmed the name, and decisively took it.
"Elder."
The elder glanced up. "Hun Xiu, what fighting skill have you chosen this time?"
Hun Xiu raised the scroll containing the Tribulation Fist.
The elder's expression froze. When he saw the title, he couldn't help but be dumbfounded.
"A Yellow-Rank fighting skill again? Tribulation Fist?!"
The elder couldn't hide his dismay. He muttered to himself, "I thought this genius finally came to his senses and was ready to choose something worthwhile. Yet here he is, picking another Yellow-Rank skill... Unbelievable."
The elder's gaze shifted to Hun Xiu, now filled with pity.
Hun Xiu, however, remained indifferent. Ignoring the elder's reaction, he left with his chosen skill.
"Such a prodigious talent... wasted," the elder sighed, shaking his head as he logged the choice.
With the Tribulation Fist in hand, Hun Xiu flipped through its pages while walking. Along the way, he encountered many members of the Hun Clan.
Although most of them recognized Hun Xiu, they refrained from approaching him. Hun Xiu's solitary nature and lack of interest in socializing were well-known.
Back Mountain
Hun Xiu began his practice session, first focusing on the Tribulation Fist, then revisiting the Man-killing Palm. Afterward, he sat cross-legged, absorbing the fighting spirit of heaven and earth to aid his cultivation.

The Next Day – Noon
Hun Xiu returned to the Fighting Skills Pavilion.
The same elder, Hun Shou, raised an eyebrow at Hun Xiu's arrival. "What brings you here again?"
Without a word, Hun Xiu placed the Tribulation Fist scroll in front of the elder. "I'm here to exchange for another fighting skill."
Hun Shou sighed. "Go ahead."
---
Hun Xiu entered the pavilion, and less than a minute later, he emerged with another scroll.
Seeing this, Hun Shou was shocked. "That was fast. Are you sure you didn't just grab the first thing you saw?"
Hun Xiu smiled faintly. "I think my pace is just right."
---
The elder quickly regained his composure and asked, "What did you pick this time?"
Hun Xiu revealed the scroll. "The Wind and Thunder Divine Leg, a high-level Yellow-Rank fighting skill."
Hun Shou's face twitched. "Another Yellow-Rank skill?!"
Before the elder could respond further, Hun Xiu had already walked away with his new fighting skill.
---
Back on the mountain, Hun Xiu diligently practiced the Wind and Thunder Divine Leg. He alternated between it, the Tribulation Fist, and the Man-killing Palm, refining his techniques. Once his practice was complete, he sat atop the mountain, meditating and absorbing the surrounding energy.
Meanwhile, back at the pavilion, Elder Hun Shou had made up his mind to report this matter to the clan leader. Allowing such a prodigious talent to squander his potential on low-level skills was unacceptable.
