Daily Life of The Inventor In Anime World

Chapter 8: Chapte 8: First invention (3)

The moment Serafall heard him mention Sacred Gears, she recalled the infamous Ten Rings of Solomon—the pseudo-Sacred Gears that Solomon had created for himself.

These very rings had rendered most of the supernatural, regardless of their powers, nearly useless in the presence of a human. This was one of the reasons why he was feared as the boogeyman of the Devil Race.

"So, it's true then? Solomon could create Sacred Gears?" Serafall asked, her voice laced with more fear than ever before. Could it be that her Master was not just an Ajuka-level genius, able to bind devils to himself, but also possessed the Biblical God's blueprint for creating Sacred Gears?

How dangerous is he?!

"In simple terms, yes," Marcus responded. "So far, through some testing, I could craft a high-level one. But for a Longinus? I'd need to observe one in action, take some readings, and study the energy patterns."

He paused, then continued, "Big G used certain concepts as a base for some of them, and I could do the same. If I can emulate dragon energy correctly, I could create something similar to the Boosted Gear or Divine Dividing."

The moment Serafall heard that he might replicate something like Boosted Gear or Divine Dividing, her mind slowed to a crawl. The way he said it sounded as if it was only a matter of time!

"Impossible… there are only two Heavenly Dragons, and they serve as the cores of those gears!" Satan Leviathan argued, trying to reason with him, unwilling to believe that he could achieve such a feat.

"But the more I spend around him, the more I fear what he could do!" Serafall thought, anxiety growing.

"Hoh? You think it's impossible?" Marcus challenged her, his amusement evident.

"At its core, tell me what a dragon is?" He raised an eyebrow, waiting for her response.

"..."

"Basically, a dragon is just sapient energy crystallized into the physical realm. All I need to do is mimic it, create artificial intelligence for a blob of energy, and voilà—it will serve as a dragon core. Program a few dragon abilities, and I'll have something akin to the Boosted Gear or Divine Dividing."

"Even so, they won't be as powerful as the original pair of gears," Serafall reasoned.

"True… but what about Mark II? Mark III? Or even Mark XX?" Marcus asked with a raised eyebrow.

In that moment, Serafall realized the potential consequences. Once he figured out how to create such gears, it would be... chaotic. Everyone would want a piece of him!

At that moment, her fear shifted into something else—desire. She realized she needed him on her side. After all, she couldn't kill him. If she tried, she would be the one to die!

The current Angels would never want a second Solomon in their ranks, given that most of them despised him. Only the Biblical God had supported Solomon, as the latter had aimed to control and enslave the devils instead of simply destroying them.

"Don't worry, since you're mine, I'll make some for you," Marcus said casually, as if it were no big deal.

"Hmm? You would? But why?" Serafall asked, her disbelief clear. She couldn't understand his reasoning.

"Because you are mine. My pillar, my power. Did you forget that already?" he asked, clearly surprised she hadn't fully grasped her situation. Or were some of them just that slow?

Serafall almost facepalmed herself. A small groan escaped her lips.

'How slow am I? Of course… I am his. I am his power. I don't need to overthink this. Giving me his creations will make him more powerful!' She realized that she would most likely be one of the first to wield these creations in battle.

"I'm a high-profile person, Master. Your secrecy won't last long if I display these in front of everyone," Serafall said with a frown. She'd shifted her mentality around her Master, now actively working to help him.

"Don't worry. I'm not planning on hiding forever. Besides, I won't be deploying 'Scale Mails' anytime soon. Foundations are required for that. But that doesn't mean I can't help you with gadgets," he said with a knowing smile, one that suggested he understood something important about her.

"Help me with gadgets? What gadgets are you talking about?" Serafall asked, trying to figure out what he meant. All she cared about was So-tan and her work as Leviathan...

"The ones that will shrink the amount of paperwork you have to do as Leviathan," he replied with a grin.

In that instant, Serafall's opinion of her Master skyrocketed from +10 to +70. For the first time in her life, someone was asking if she needed help with her work! Not even Satan himself had ever done that!

The solution was obvious. If she didn't have to deal with paperwork, she'd have more time for So-tan—and even more time for herself, as long as her Master didn't summon her too often.

"You can do that?" she asked, almost begging. Not only did she need to deal with her own paperwork, but she also had to handle Ajuka's side of things!

"Yes. But first, let's return to the workshop," he said, starting to walk out.

She nodded and, with a few magic circles, fixed the room before following him.

"First, answer a few questions. What kind of documents do you handle? Are they all the same size, layout, and sorting system?" he asked, scribbling on a notepad.

"Hmm, I think it's better if I just bring some of them here," Serafall suggested, raising an eyebrow. It would be easier than trying to describe it all.

"Sure. You can do your paperwork here if you'd like," he replied with a casual shrug.

"Can I?" she asked, her eyes wide.

"Yes. But first, we need to increase the security around this place. Once the barriers I want are set up, you can work on your paperwork here," he explained.

"But why?" Serafall asked in disbelief.

"I need someone to talk to, and I'm sure you want that too. I also told you before—you're my pillar. If my pillar isn't 100%, I'll find a way to make you 100%. Easy enough?" he said simply.

'So... I'm basically married to someone who controls me to a large extent. At first, I thought I was just a tool for him... but it's clear now that he does care about me. Though I still doubt he cares about my surroundings...'

"Since you want my company, very well! I'll be back in just a few moments!" Serafall said with a cheerful smile before disappearing in a flash of magic circles.
