Delayed Transfer

Chapter 338

Mark fought countless cold-based monsters on the thirty-second floor of his dungeon. There were yetis, snow dire wolves, ice wraiths, and even snow wyverns. His run of bad luck was still ongoing since he only received blue items from the whole floor. He also was beginning to hate the floor so much and based on his experience, the next few floors would be areas filled with ice and snow as well.

Even though he had high stats, he could still feel the severe low temperature in the dungeon floor. That was the reason why Mark only managed to complete the floor when it was already six in the evening.

Since Milena called him around lunchtime to ask the exact time when he would be back since the twins were asking, he told Milena that he would be late today and that meant that he was not worried that the kids would be concerned about his absence.

Mark did earn three levels from the thirty-second level of his dungeon but he refrained from assigning the skill and stat points yet. His level was now one hundred and five and his unassigned stats and skill points were both fifteen.

After completing the floor, Mark headed directly to his villa on the eleventh floor to clean himself then he went back to the RV.

When the kids saw him, the twins shouted and rushed toward him, babbling about the things they had done earlier. Liriel pouted at him and then asked to be carried so Mark lifted Liriel and the little girl hugged his neck tightly as if not intending to let go.

The food that Milena and her assistants cooked was already on the table so they ate without any more delay.

“We earned a lot of coins, but I kept my promise to make sure that the prices were still reasonable,” Milena said while they were eating.

“Please don’t forget to pay everyone that needs payment and if anyone requests for pay increase, everyone has my approval,” Mark said and Milena just nodded.

“We’ll be leaving this village the day after tomorrow and our next stop is going to be the city of Narcone. That city could almost be called a wizard city since a lot of wizards live there and it’s governed by a council of wizards. The only reason it’s not called a wizard city is that they don’t have an archmage or a sage in their council,” Nedertu said.

“How long till we reach that city?”

“It would take us around seven or eight days of travel from here. Also, Hamil said that you will need to recall Yoda once we’re near Narcone to avoid misunderstanding.”

After dinner, Mark played with the kids using a simple board game called Snakes and Ladders. The game was so simple that even Liriel was somewhat able to play with them with everyone’s help. The night was full of laughter until Mark noticed that the kids were sleepy so after washing up, he tucked them in in their beds.

The twins requested Mark to read them a bedtime story so he did. While he was telling them a story about a princess that once lived in a faraway land. While he was telling the story, Mark suddenly heard Liriel speaking. He clearly heard the little girl say “Mark” and he was so delighted that he hugged Liriel who giggled. Even the twins heard her and they were happy as well.

To celebrate, he promised the kids that they would go somewhere special the next day.

Morning arrived soon and Mark announced to everyone that it was a day of celebration since Liriel said her first word. Suddenly everyone heard Liriel loudly saying Mark’s name.

“How are we going to celebrate?” Milena asked.

“We’re all going somewhere special today and you can return when it’s time for you to set up your store.”

When Rendira arrived to tutor the kids, Mark told her that everyone would go somewhere that day to celebrate Liriel’s first world and he invited their tutor to come with them, and to Mark’s surprise, Rendira agreed to join them.

They didn’t inform anyone since Milena and her assistants would return to the circus after lunch.

“Where are we going, Mark?” Isaac asked while jumping up and down.

“It’s a surprise but you don’t have to wait long since we’re going now.”

Mark then opened the portal to the thirty-first floor of his dungeon, which he dubbed the snowy hot spring paradise. When everyone entered the place, all of them, aside from Mark, were stupefied at the beautiful snowy mountain filled with various hot springs.

“Everyone, the hot springs had different temperatures so before you submerge, you will need to check it out. Here are your towels,” Mark provided everyone with towels that they could use while soaking in the hot spring.

Mark brought the kids to the huge hot spring pool that had a mild temperature. The twins and Liriel immediately swam around while Mark sat in the side watching the kids. The others chose to roam around searching for the best hot spring for them and soon everyone was soaking in the hot water.

After about an hour, Mark went and prepared the food for everyone and once the table that he conjured was full of food, he called everyone and they all rushed in to devour the food that was on the table.

When all the food was gone, they all went back to soaking in the hot spring. Suddenly, Milena shouted.

“My skin is being rejuvenated and it’s turning fairer!”

Mark ignored Milena and just kept on soaking. He wasn’t worried that anyone would receive any issues like heat stroke or something like that since the waters in the hot spring had healing powers.

Soon Milena and her assistants had to go to set up their store so Mark opened the portal and Milena, Connor, Liza, and Norleen with Rendira returned to the circus.

Mark, the kids, and Nedertu were the only ones who remained in the hot spring. Soon, Mark prepared another table of food for them and everyone ate their fill and went back to soaking in the hot water.

They only returned around two in the afternoon and once they were back, the kids immediately went to take their naps.

While Mark was waiting for the kids to wake up, he thought of the city that they would go to next. Nedertu mentioned that Narcone had several dungeons and one of them was very dangerous and could only be entered by powerful people but according to rumors, the rewards there were equal to the risk.

He would definitely check out the dungeons there. Mark wasn’t afraid since he did have a spell that would allow him and anyone with him to exit the dungeon anytime he wanted.

Mark was also excited to browse the magic items that they could purchase from the city, although he only had a small amount of mana stones. He was just planning to browse though since he did have a way to get magic items for free even though they were random but he couldn’t deny that the items from his dungeon were powerful and if he truly desired to have mana stones, he could sell some of them.

The children woke up soon and Mark prepared dinner for everyone. Soon, the others arrived. While they were eating dinner, Milena reported the earnings that they did but honestly, Mark didn’t care about that.
