Delayed Transfer

Chapter 364

Mark actually spent a couple of hours teaching those who were interested in learning how to stitch the video clips. There were only around ten clips which was impressive for the kids since they only had the tablet for about an hour or so.

He was feeling curious as to why the others were so interested in learning how to do the video editing. Was it just the novelty of a brand-new technology? Mark didn’t know but since the twins were asking for lessons about it, they could join however they wanted.

Nedertu then requested a tablet of his own and asked Mark to take the payment for the device from his pay. Mark just shrugged and told his driver that Milena handled all their finances. Milena then asked how much the tablet was and he just shrugged again since he didn’t have any idea how much was it. To resolve the issue, he just told everyone that whoever was interested, they could just borrow the tablets from him and once they didn’t want them anymore, they could just return them to him by leaving them in one of the empty storage bins inside the RV.

Mark was surprised that everyone wanted one and even Aaron clamored to have one of his own since the first one that he gave was for Isaac. Isaac then complained that the first tablet was mostly being used by Deo so he wanted one of his own as well.

“You can have one each and any of you can share your tablet with your friends! If it broke, well sorry for you, I’m not giving you a new one so you have to take care of it!”

“Well, I want a new one! The power on that tablet is almost empty!” Isaac said.

“Oh yeah, how do we charge the power?” Nedertu asked while navigating the apps inside his brand new tablet that Mark just replicated.

Mark then provided the charges for everyone’s tablets but to be honest about it, Mark himself didn’t find the tablet interesting without it connected to the internet and then he remembered that to the people in this world who hadn’t seen much technology, the tablet’s features alone without being connected to the internet was highly useful. They even had some offline games that they could play like some sort of candy crush-like game and bubble pop game. Surprisingly, when Mark examined the tablet’s features, there were a lot of them that were not dependent on the Internet. The games alone were more than fifteen at a casual glance.

Mark then showed everyone how to play some of the games and told them where they were located on the tablet. He could see the huge excitement on everyone’s faces while they were playing some of the games and since most of the games were casual games, they were easy enough to understand.

Even Liriel pitifully asked Mark to have one of her own by making large almost crying eyes at him while glancing between a tablet and him so he laughed, picked up the little girl hugged her then gave one tablet to her. Liriel giggled when she received a tablet of her own and Mark was highly impressed at how the little girl navigated the tablet.

Mark then assigned a couple of laptops in the RV where everyone could connect their tablets and perform some video editing. He also copied all the movies and music that they had seen and heard so far on the two laptops so each one who had a tablet could copy the movies and songs from the laptops to their tablets and watch them anytime they wanted.

Of course, he needed to provide earphones to those who wanted one so they could listen to the movies and songs without disturbing others although the tablet’s speaker was not very loud. He also sternly reminded everyone, especially the twins, to not show the movies and songs to circus outsiders. The adult knew that of course but the reminder was mostly made for the twins.

Mark reiterated the warning and then told the twins when caught, Hamil would make sure that they were thrown out of the circus. That statement made the twins' eyes big and they tearfully asked Mark if they would allow Hamil to throw them out.

“Of course not, and even if he did, I’ll go with you and we’ll journey together with Liriel in our RV and have some of our own adventures but you will surely miss your friends in the circus won’t you?”

The twins nodded and told him that they would not share any movies or songs with others. They told Mark that they wouldn’t copy any movies or songs, just play games, and use the camera to take photos and videos.

At first, he would have reminded the kids not to spend too much time using their tablets and that he would take it from them come time for sleeping but they were truly terrified at the idea that they would be thrown out from the circus that Mark regretted scaring them about something like that. The twins kept hugging him and even Liriel, who didn’t understand was a bit afraid and joined in the group hug.

Milena rolled her eyes at him and even Nedertu shook his head. Mark carried the kids and since they were still terrified, he brought them to his room tucked them in in his bed, and joined them. Soon the kids were asleep so he slowly got up and joined the others in the living room.

Nedertu and Milena were the only ones there since the others had already gone to their RV. The two were busy navigating their tablets but when they saw Mark, they smiled mockingly at him.

“Well, that was a mistake,” Mark muttered.

“You think!” Milena scolded Mark and Nedertu kept shaking his head.

“I guess, I’ll just make it up to them later,” Mark said remorsefully.

“You don’t need to worry too much. Kids are reliant and a lot is happening in the circus and soon they will forget about it.” Milena said consolingly.

“No, they will not forget but when they were older, they would understand that you were just scaring them. They would punish you once they realized that but I’m guessing that you could take whatever punishment they’ll give you,” Nedertu said then the catman laughed.

Mark rolled his eyes at his driver and then he went to their RV to begin replicating the items they would sell tomorrow and he didn’t care if the RV was filled to the brim. They would just need to find ways how to squeeze in for their sleep.

While replicating items that they would sell tomorrow, Mark thought of how they could make it up to the kids regarding the stupid, insensitive comment he had made. He then thought that the next day would be the day they would need to go back to the tailor so the tailor could check the costume fitting. Milena noticed that Mark was still distracted by what had happened earlier and she kept consoling him and he just kept nodding.

Once he was done with the replication, he went back to the RV. He then worked on Liriel’s costume which was the robot R2D2 that Liriel could ride on. It was good that he already had an R2D2 replica, he just needed to empty it out and then put a tiny chair where Liriel could sit inside it. He then thought of how Liriel would move the RV, he first thought of asking the elven sisters to install runes that the little girl could use to move the robot but then realized that his thought process was beginning to get complicated so he simply decided to just push the robot.

He also would create a huge opening at the back so Liriel could see who was pushing her, which would be Mark and then he would ask the elven sister to install a temperature rune inside to make sure that Liriel would be comfortable sitting inside it.
