Delayed Transfer

Chapter 411

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones started so the kids focused on watching the movie. Mark continued reading his web novels but then he saw someone enter the theater looking for him.

“Mark, you need to replace the tables in the buffet area,” The man said so with one last look at the kids who were still busy watching, he followed the man.

After replacing the buffet tables, he saw that there were a lot of people eating and knew that it was already time for lunch. After replacing the tables with new ones filled with food, Mark returned to the theater immediately and waited for the kids since the movie was about to end.

When the movie ended, without any announcement, all the children ran towards the buffet tables and like little monsters who smelled a freshly killed corpse, began devouring the food on the table. Mark saw that their parents or guardians joined the kids and began eating as well and he knew that soon he would need to replace the tables again.

After several minutes, the kids ran back to the theater and the third movie started. Checking the remaining food on the table, Mark decided to replace them with new ones to make sure that there would be food for everyone who wanted to eat but this time, he conjured twelve tables so it would be more plentiful then he joined the kids in the theater.

For the third movie, which was Revenge of the Sith, Mark decided to watch a sitcom instead of reading a novel. When the movie ended, Toby went to the front.

“We don’t have time to watch the next three movies so we would reserve them at another time. I know all of you will understand. There are still a lot of activities that we will need to do before the day ends so guys let’s all eat first then follow me!”

Mark was startled. He wasn’t aware of what the kids planned but they all ran off. He couldn’t take it anymore so he went to Milena’s and asked Lisa to look after the kids. Lisa laughed and told Mark to not worry since she would make sure that the kids were fine. Lisa took Liriel from his arms and then trotted off to look after the twins.

“I’m so glad you all are here. It would be very tiring to look after the kids alone,” Mark sighed.

“That’s why you hired us and you paying us extremely well,” Milena said.

After that, Mark visited the gaming cafes. He first went to the one dedicated to the circus people which had five computers. Four for gamers and one for the manager but when he went inside, the ones playing weren’t people from the circus but customers. The manager in this small café was, unsurprisingly, Toby.

“Mark! The circus council decided to rent out the four computers here as well,” Toby said nervously.

“Really? I thought we decided that this was supposed to be for our people?”

“Well since everyone would be busy today anyway, Father and the others said that it would be better for us to earn more from this small gaming tent.”

Mark just shrugged and left the tent. He went to the gaming tent that was supposed to be dedicated to the twins and Nedertu but this one was empty. He was guessing that it was because there was no manager’s computer here and there were only three desktop computers inside.

The main café was lively since there were three people per computer. One gamer and two viewers which Mark assumed as the gamer’s friends. Someone was also in the process of filling out the coffee, sugar, cream, and water in the coffee vending machine.

“Mark, your machine that dispenses the special beverage is earning a lot of coins!” the person assigned to replace the ingredients said and again Mark just nodded.

He then went to where the three elven sisters were playing and asked if they encountered any issues and they said none.

Soon the night arrived and the event that everyone was waiting for was about to start, which was the judging of the best costumes. Everyone coveted the prizes that would be given to the winners that’s the reason why the excitement in the air was tremendous. Of course, almost every hour, Mark needed to replace the buffet table, and to be honest he was getting exhausted.

He was glad that the Star Wars Convention would only last for a day and not the normal four days. It was truly different for a person who was part of the ones hosting the event compared to just attending the convention. It was more exhausting for the host but based on the circus people's smiles, the circus earned a lot of coins from this event.

Before the event started though, the twins and Liriel were in the RV sleeping. They were exhausted and succumbed to their tiredness. All of their friends and their parents and guardians also had to leave to go back to Narcone since all of the kids were truly tired but at least Mark provided them with some takeaway gifts that he asked Milena to prepare. The good thing about the gifts was he only needed to prepare one which was just Star Wars bedsheets, blankets, pillowcases, mugs, and plates and then he replicated it many times and put it in a box and then replicated the box so it didn’t take him long to provide everyone with the gifts.

The twins’ guests also made sure to take home a lot of food and some of them were seen carrying mountains of boxes that contained food. Mark needed to replace the buffet tables several times during the time when the guests were collecting food takeaway. Some of the children were already asleep in their parent’s arms but since all of them brought extra persons, they didn’t leave empty-handed.

The only people who remained were the paying customers and they excitedly awaited for the prizes to be given.

The next day would be their last day in Drovan Town since Hamil decided for the circus to head directly to the next city which was as large as Narcone. He wanted to add that city to the warp gate network so they could have an increased customer base. That meant that the circus leaders would be busy the next day informing those who needed to know about their travel plans.

Mark wondered what the reaction of those addicted to gaming would be but then again, Hamil could pacify them by saying that once the circus reached a city, they would reopen everything. Once they were traveling he also decided to complete his dungeon since he would just need to finish nine floors.

He wondered if he would receive any rewards upon completing his dungeon. Soon the winners were announced and they were given the prizes that were promised. Everyone was so happy and a full-blown party happened after the announcement.

Mark then left and went to his RV to join the twins and Liriel in their rest. After taking a bath, he thought of what happened that day and he was satisfied that everyone was happy. He knew that the twin’s friends and their family would remember this event for the rest of their lives and he was content with that.
