Diary of an introvert

Chapter 2: LIFE JOURNEY

Hi! I just realized that I didn't introduce myself in the first chapter. So, my name is Jarad Anthony, and I am from Illinois, Chicago. Currently, I am 26 years old, dark-skinned, and 5'9" tall.

Being an introvert was a choice I couldn't say no to, due to the divorce of my parents when I was 8. So, I was left with my mom. She was always busy, so I had only myself, and no one else in this life.

Mom told me that he was unfaithful and never showed us any love. Let me give you a glimpse into my childhood. Henry Anthony is the name of my dad, while my mom's name is Sarah Anthony. They were married for nine years. My dad was affluent; he was the CEO of Anton's Oil and Gas Company, which he inherited from his father.

I didn't remember much about my dad because he was always preoccupied, but he made sure I never lacked anything. One thing I know is that my dad was the best dad ever.

When I was seven, I heard yelling from my parents' room. I checked up on them and asked why they were yelling, but they said everything was okay. So, without thinking anything, I went back to my room.

Things were going smoothly, I thought, until the night of March 23rd, 2016. I heard my parents arguing; I thought it was a normal argument until I heard the sound of shattering glass and the scream of my mother. I knew things were going terribly wrong.

After about five minutes, the house was silent, like a graveyard, which was unbelievable to me. Then, I saw my mom with her luggage, and she told me to come with her, saying we were going on a trip. It seemed awkward, as who goes on a trip at 9:48 p.m.? But the word "trip" couldn't go off my head, so I obliged and went in and packed my things. Then, we headed out.

I wanted to say goodbye to my dad, but Mom didn't let me, saying he fell asleep. It was a strange moment, though.

Mom took me to her sister's place, which was located at 233 S Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60606. Mom lied to me; I didn't talk to her for three days straight. The next day, Mom called a lawyer and told him to serve my dad the divorce papers. This news left me heartbroken.

I walked up to my mom and asked her why she and Dad were getting a divorce. She said nothing. I was feeling completely exhausted then. My mind was reeling from all the conversations I've had, and I was finding it tough to keep my thoughts straight.

After the divorce, things weren't normal with my mom. She started staying out late and making mysterious calls. To be honest, I didn't pay much attention since she never made time for me.

Enough about my childhood. When I turned 19, I decided to reach out to my dad. He took me under his wing, taught me the ropes of business, and introduced me to influential entrepreneurs. It was a dream come true!

Years of hard work paid off, and I eventually established my own company. I'm now the proud CEO of Jarad's Spectra Solutions.
