One of the guards approached respectfully, "Captain Su Ming, Senior Dugu Bo, His Highness believed you'd return, so he asked us to wait here for you. Please, feel free to rest in the carriage."

Su Ming felt a warmth in his heart, appreciating how considerate Qian Renxue was.

Qian Renxue understood his intentions all too well, though she kept her thoughts to herself. She knew he simply preferred her female form, and truth be told, she was more comfortable this way as well.

Did he really just let you go?" she asked, feigning curiosity, though she already knew from the journal that Su Ming had used his fully-formed Susanoo to finish the fight in a single blow.
