"Yes," Su Ming shrugged, "but it was mainly the old monster's work. Qian Renxue, I'm just a humble Soul King—how could I be Yu Yuanzhen's match? It was hard enough just protecting my teammates."

Qian Renxue stared at him with a hint of frustration. He was being so evasive. Su Ming had said he only saw her as a friend, and he seemed to be sticking to that, showing no real sign of deeper interest. Qian Renxue had initially thought he was playing hard to get, but now, even after knowing each other for quite some time, he hadn't made a single move. Was his interest really not there?

Su Ming froze for a second before bursting into laughter. "That Yu Xiaogang got exactly what he deserved! His disciple is a sworn enemy of Wuhun Hall, and yet he had the nerve to think he could ask favors from the Pope? Did he think he was someone special?"
