During the Dark Ages

[Everything is ready, everyone head to the courtyard.] Melissa said using [Telepathy] to everyone and all of them immediately rushed to the courtyard. It had taken them six hours to complete everything and it was well into morning by now as the sun was shining brightly over the entire town. The cleaning team managed to scrub the hotel clean, Lily and her team managed to fortify the hotel enough to prevent any underground attacks and nothing tried to attack them during the night. The Bartus guild has also created tables, chairs, plates and utensils for everyone and were patiently seated, waiting for their meal. The doors of the hotel opened, and out came Melissa and her team along with a the leprechauns that were observing them in the kitchen. Melissa and the others stood around the table while the leprechauns waved their hands and all the food prepared was spread across the table along with various sauces. The demons cheered when the food was presented to them, but before they could dive in.

"Wait!!" Melissa shouted, and all of them paused for a minute

"I'm not gonna allow you lot to make a mess by fighting over the food, so we will share your portions for you. Ladies." Melissa said, clapping her hands and the daimonis from Melissa's team went around sharing portions of food for everyone. They gave everyone a large portion of steamed rice, bread that they made using the flour and as for the meat.

'How exactly am I going to share this?' Melissa wondered as she could see every demon's eye on the bowls filled with meat, radiating a tantalizing aromas.

[Just give everyone, five pieces each and make sure to save some for yourself. There is no way that this much food will fill everyone's stomach.] Colin said to her, seeing that she was having trouble

[What do you mean this much food isn't going to fill everyone's stomach?! We cooked a literal ton of food for this lot.] Melissa exclaimed

[Trust me, I've tried to feed demons before, and you should probably decide fast. Everyone is getting anxious.] Colin said and Melissa looked at the group of demons and she could feel an overwhelming sense of fear as all their eyes were glowing as they stared at her

"Share the meat." She said and all the demons roared in excitement. Small cups filled with sauce was left beside everyone's dishes for everyone to savor along with their meals. The Bartus guild, who have never eaten food like this before, anxious and curious took their first bite of the food and all of them froze.

[What's wrong with them?] Melissa asked as all of them suddenly froze

[Culture shock.] Colin said as he ate his food along with Alice and Lily who were under a crystal umbrella that filtered sunlight, allowing Alice to be in the sun.

"It's sublime."

"So delicious."

"I can't believe beasts can actually taste like this."

[Wait, until they see the other stuff we have here.] Colin said when he heard the comments from the Bartus guild members, but the conversation soon took a turn.

"I wonder how much we can sell this for. I bet we could get a lot of cursed ores for just a small portion."

"We'll need to find a way to store these in a way that won't affect their taste or make it degrade faster."

"We also need to figure out how long it takes to degrade."

"How exciting."

'Truly, they are from the house of greed.' Colin thought

[Hey Colin, just how many different techniques do humans have for cooking.] Bartus asked

[They are called recipes, and as for how many, I'm not sure. But it's over a thousand, we had a lot of time to experiment with food.] Colin replied and Bartus paused for a moment

[Do you have access to all these 'recipes'?] He asked

[No, and getting the recipes isn't enough, we also need the ingredients. Thankfully, I can fix both those problems.] Colin replied

[How?] Bartus asked

[Patience, the members of my family are currently exhausted and so we can begin when they are rested.] Colin replied

[...Fine.]

[And don't think I've forgotten about the Mind Crabs soul crystal. I'm gonna need that back.] Colin said and Bartus clicked his tongue.
