During the Dark Ages

After eating, the members of the house of weakness went to rest after their long journey and battle. They each chose a room from the abundant rooms within the hotel. Colin chose the master suite on the top floor and both Lily and Alice chose the adjacent floors. Of course, Colin didn't plan on leaving the entire town defenseless, members of the Bartus guild was keeping watch while they slept.

'Now should be a good time.' Lily thought as she exited her room. It has been an hour since everyone has retired to their rooms and she had waited to make sure Colin was asleep. She had also sensed Alice sneaking into his room earlier, which forced her to wait a little longer. She created a veil around the entire room, not allowing anyone to listen in on what was going on inside. She took out the same large white orb she had in City A and channelled her demonic energy into it causing a red glow to surround it.

"Oh, you have contacted me again this quickly? You must have some news? Or do you miss your mother that much?" Asmodious said, as the image of her lying seductively on a bed appeared.

"No, I just have some questions to ask you? It's concerning Colin." Lily said

"Oh, the new demon king. What about him?" Asmodious asked

"You remember that strange rune I showed you last time." Lily asked and Asmodious nodded her head

"Well, it got even weirder. An incident occured in City A where we were last time. The rune activated it's full power and he gained a transformation that allowed him to defeat four Mature Angels on his own." Lily explained

"Oh, that's impressive." Asmodious complimented

"But that's not all, his unique trait changed and he gained a new title. The unique trait changed to [Unique Trait: Shard of Mephistopheles] and the title is called [Heir of Mephistopheles]." And as soon as the last words left her mouth, Lily saw something she hasn't seen from her mother in a long time....rage, pure unbridled rage. The image of shifting darkness changed as Asmodious' mouth and eyes became completely red and her form began to enlarge.

"M-mom, you need to calm down. I don't want anyone to know that I'm contacting you!!" Lily said hurried as some of Asmodious' power leaked through the crystal ball.

"Fine." Asmodious said and calmed down a bit, as her form became smaller but the red eyes and mouth remained

"You need to leave that place immediately, if that demon is related to Mephistopheles in anyway, then there is a high chance he will try and kill you." Asmodious said and Lily raised an eyebrow

"I don't-" Lily tried to say, but her mother interrupted her

"Lily, now is not the time to be a stubborn child, I'm trying to protect you. I can't cross the barrier, because it is still too strong, so I can't protect you like I normally would." Asmodious said, and Lily was touched, as she could hear the concern and care in Asmodious' voice.

"Mom, I know you are concerned, but I don't think he will hurt me. When he transformed, he did so to protect me and Alice, a member of his family, and he could have killed me." Lily said and Asmodious looked at her

"So you want to stay, very well, but only on the condition that this Colin signs a contract and I will send Byran as well as some of your other siblings to you for protection." Asmodious said

"Seriously."

"No buts, the only reason I'm allowing you to stay there is because not even Mephistopheles can break a contract once signed." Asmodious said

"Who is this Mephistopheles anyone? You seem...concerned when you heard his name?" Lily asked

"He's a creature that thrives on chaos and discord. He's the entire reason all the Demon Kings became Demon Kings in the first place and why the underworld is the way it is right now." Asmodious said and Lily was stunned

"No more questions, get that demon to sign a contract and make sure not to tell anyone, not even your siblings, about Mephistopheles, do you understand?" Asmodious said sternly

"Yes." She replied

"Good. And, make sure to stay safe, my little butterfly." Asmodious said before cutting the connection
